Woman at the Front Desk was exceptional (helping later that day picking up an item I left behind.) Small nice friendly town and a real deal nice clean small motel. I missed the extras that mentioned the River and viewing. Two minute walk to restaurants. Rooms very clean and a bit dated but all good. Quieter than expected. I would stay here again. Great location toward or after Crater Lake NP.

We stayed two nights and the place is great. The only thing I regret is not booking a riverfront room when we first were thinking about staying. Grabbing food to go from the restaurant next door and eating on the public deck overlooking the river is nice. When we checked in we were giving two great places to hike and recommendations for good restaurants.

We were not sure what to expect here. We were very happy with our stay. The check in was incredibly easy, parking by our room was very convenient and the room was very cozy and clean. The property had several walkable dining & beverage options. They also have a beautiful deck overlook of the river to relax. It was 102 degrees the day we stayed (even in the shade) so we didn’t use the deck as we otherwise might have. We used the motel for a jumping off point to visit Crater Lake NP the following day, which worked very well. But we would definitely consider spending more time at this property in the future. For the price, Riverfront Lodging is a little gem!

Clean and spacious room in the quaint river town of Shady Cove. This room was perfect for a one-eighty stay for our family of four visiting Crater Lake National Park. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch that overlooked the river with a bottle of local wine. The staff was very nice, the beds were comfortable, and the motel was close to a good grocery store and a wonderful coffee shop.

The Riverfront Lodging is an older hotel but kept very clean. Dana the person on-site at check-in was very informative & knowledgable about the area and made great recommendations for places to stop in and around Shady Cove. Their shaded private deck area overlooks the Rogue river from which you can watch rafters and animal life. Don't expect a 4-star hotel but it is quite quaint and very reasonable.

Host was super nice and friendly. She even tried to provide us a better room to accommodate our big group. At the end though some mix up happened so we chose to be in the original rooms we reserved. Room was cute too. The only thing I have to complain and that grossed me out was that i had already used the coffee machine in my room, and my family called me telling me that their cofee machine was dirty. I went into their room to clean it since i didnt want to bug the host so early in the morning. Well.... idk when was the last time the inside of the coffee machine was cleaned but there was black gunk all in the coffee filter, the actual pot was tinge brown still. I cleaned it as best as i could but I just couldnt use that coffee machine anymore. It was extremely disgusting. The cofee provided was who knows how old too.. Other than that... the property was very beautiful.

This is a beautiful property. There was a large wedding party when we stayed and we were worried about noise but it was not an issue. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Shower space was a bit small so a larger person than me 6’4” 218lbs or if you are clostrifobic there might be an issue. Front office personnel was spot on and there are plenty of dining options in walking or short drive distance for a small riverside community. They have a beautiful deck overlooking the Rogue River. If My travels bring me back to Shady Cove I would definitely request one of the rooms overlooking the river but we were in room 7 and it was just a very short walk to the deck on the river. Definitely worth staying here.

Disappointing stay due to poor air condition

The air conditioning in my room was very loud and did not bring the temperature down. When I brought this up to the staff, I was told I should have booked the newer riverfront units instead, but they were fully sold out and no upgrade was available. I chose this hotel based on positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

Absolutely terrible customers service. My partner and I went to check in after a 7 hour drive. This place looked great and had excellent reviews for the area.

As soon as we walked through the door, the lady at the reception was rude and obnoxious. We were checking in with a service dog for my partners epilepsy. This property does not allow pets, but service animals are a different matter.

She started to debate the validity of the status of her service dog and refused to listen to any of our responses. Even when we offered documentation.

Looked like it could be a nice place. This staff member however ruined the experience. We cancelled our booking and went somewhere else.

If you want a better place to stay, take our advice, drive the extra 15 minutes south and stay at the Resort at Eagle Point. The staff there are welcoming and accommodating. Unlike this place. And about the same price! We now have a full suite and fully let friendly. Even if they aren’t a service animal.

This was the most quaint, clean, comfortable, safe, quiet place I've ever stayed! Room had kitchen & table, real coffee pot, lots of hot water, 2 separate bedrooms like a small apartment. The grounds were full of flowers, grassy shady sitting area, deck overlooking the river. The lady at front desk was absolutely wonderful, sweet and informative. This is a small town hotel within a reasonable driving distance to Crater Lake NP and surrounding. It’s older, but some tlc has gone into the rooms. Voices carry thru the walls, so there was some annoyances.
Hotel sits on the Rogue River and has a decent dining facility next door. Check in person was very helpful and informative.

Me family enjoyed our stay at riverfront lodging. Fun patio to sit and watch deer along the Rogue River in the evenings. We were visiting Crater Lake and the ride there was pretty easy. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of space in the room. Staff was friendly and helped with a few items we hadnt packed. I would definitely stay again if i was in the area.
