Preface… would not rebook this hotel in the future. The staff is hit and miss, not discourteous, just no enthusiasm. Its an interesting place, seems haunted. AC did a poor job of cooling the room. The bed linen felt highly used. They didn't clean the room on first day, very disappointing. The parking is street meters.
There is no bell boy bag service. There is no restaurant on site or near by. You do not want to walk at night in the area.

On the plus the room was very spacious and the lightning was overhead which is a plus. There is a coffee maker but we had to ask for pods. The toiletries were minimal. We had the ask the front desk person to do something about the room safe buzzing constantly. They changed our bedroom rug as the one we had had a hole in it.

The staff is amazing, warm, friendly, and very approachable. My experience with the hotel was breathtaking. I was impressed with the character, charm, and the deco of the hotel; as well as the history of the building. You will want to take the bed home with you. I was only there for one night and plan to return soon and thinking about having my 70th birthday celebration there. I told the staff that their hotel was a hidden gem. Me not being from the Shreveport area. Kudos to the Remington Suite.❤️

The good....The room was really clean, the decor was beautiful and the bed was so so comfortable. There was a lot of pillows, the AC worked great, and there were plugs on the bedside walls, next to the side tables to charge phones etc. It was downtown , and the staff was kind.
The ok...The bathroom was mostly clean, but dirt was built up in the corners of the bathroom floors, the paint was chipped along the floor boards, the jetted tub showed signs of corrosion. I was really looking forward to having a jetted tub and a relaxing bath in it when I booked, but after seeing that decided against it.
At check in we asked about the closest bar and were pointed across the street rather then the bar area AT THE HOTEL. The information about the hotel said there was refreshments like water and coffee in common areas. There was what looked like it used to be a jar of ice water with lemon but it was fairly empty with warm room temperature water when we arrived, and there was no coffee. So...no water or coffee.
Also there was no parking. You had to park on the street, or pay to park in the public parking next door or pay for valet parking which was $24 or $25 a night. (That also was not mentioned when booking.)
The elevator was gross. There was garbage, dirt, and grime on the floor of it and fingerprints all over the inside of it. It had not been cleaned in what looked like a long time.

This is a historical property that is completely remodeled and beautiful. Our suite had a living area separated by a dressing area from the bedroom and bath. Lovely, well maintained furniture throughout. A small bar was in the lobby. Self serve breakfast was offered. There is a small store on the premises. The staff were helpful and friendly. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend.

I had an excellent stay at the Remington Hotel. It's convenient location near the interstate made arrival and departure very easy. The lobby and guest rooms feature eclectic, well‑designed décor that creates a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and both check‑in and check‑out were efficient and straightforward. I look forward to staying here again.

Aside from the weirdly slick and sticky floor, the zero view, and the a/c that thumped like an intruder at the door all night long: this hotel was great and the bed was unbelievably comfy. bathtub a perfect soak after a long long drive. Staff was super nice and helpful. do not uber eats from Outback, take my word on this one thing if nothing else. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

I’m so sorry that I’m late for my review, but I really do appreciate your staff especially K2. I was having a very rough time at the beginning of my stay. I did not enjoy the bathrooms and was told that the rooms that I have been assigned we’re on the list to get their bathrooms renovated, so I was assigned to a room with a disgusting bathroom that I could not be able to bathe myself nor my toddler after being put in a second room where the bathroom was actually much worse I broke down at the front desk and K2 immediately upgraded my room to the penthouse suite which I thoroughly enjoyed and will actually be booking the next time I come back to Shreveport. I also especially appreciate her getting me a squeeze a I also especially appreciate her getting me a squeeze an appointment for a facial and massage at the spa. I had mentioned to her that I wanted to book one for myself, but the books were closed and she was able to get me an appointment for both. I had the best time ever. Thank you again for helping a mom out!

We greatly enjoyed our suite. It was clean and spacious. Though the wood cleaner used on the bed frame the smell was quite a bit strong in the room. But if you are expecting to get a good night sleep you may be lacking. While the bed is comfortable, the other guests do not take into consideration of others. When we called the front desk at 12:30,12:50, and 3:30 with lots of screaming shouting door slamming we were told the man at the counter “Tyler” is just the valet. And that either they were leaving for a few hours or they had just gotten back. There was no reason for them to be so loud for 45+ mins each time enter or exiting at that hour and disturbing others. There should have been someone there to handle extra rowdy guests. We asked for a note to be left and no one discussed this with us upon departure given there were other guest in the area while checking out I did not want to bring it up.

Walking distance from the convention center. Some staff was kind such as Pat and Jonathan. The property is older but unique. The suites are sized and decorated differently. The jacuzzi bathtub is very old and a safety hazard. Needs replacing. No microwave in the room. Overcharged me and did not adjust.

The hotel is nice but in your room you hear every noise and people are loud going down the wooden floors in hallway. The bar was nice but they say they offer a complimentary breakfast but it’s just some bread coffee and 10 day old bananas. My kids get offered more at school and if I am gonna pay 300 a night at least get a waffle maker. Lol. My room was nice but the jacuzzi tub is way outdated and it looks like the lights in the bathroom had caught fire and they never fixed the burns on the wall. It’s a cool place to stay but maybe stay at the Hilton down the block for 300 a night.

Gorgeous property. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the bathroom was simply stunning. Loved all the marble, the walk in shower and the deep, stand alone tub. The breakfast was wonderful too -- and completely unexpected. Such luscious fresh fruit and a wide selection of other dainties! We will definitely be back!

The reception was rude no 1. First they said they don't see my reservation. After an hour of back and forth I got one and I checked out the next day. Not a peaceful property. Very inconvenient and literally no staff to even guide you to the multiple buildings and figuring it out in the night is a nightmare. Literally no toiletries or space for luggage.

I suppose one's experience here will be driven by the room they end up in. We checked into Gainsborough and were appalled by the condition of the bathroom. The sink and tub had been painted over, with large areas peeled off. The valves in the Jacuzzi tub were corroded. The area behind the toilet had visible water damage. When we asked to change rooms, the condescending manager on duty, \"K2\", informed me that the property is historic. I told her I did not want a historic 40-year-old bathroom. She offered a paid \"upgrade\" to Cassatt, while ominously cautioning of its spiral staircase. Her warning led me to ask to see the room to make sure it would not be a problem but she refused. The \"death spiral\" staircase is probably fun for a kid, but unsafe for anyone over middle-age. The bathroom had been slightly upgraded with marble tile walls and floor, but for reasons unknown still retained the same painted, corroded 1960's Jacuzzi tub and painted sink basin aesthetic as the first room. The \"antique\" furniture was circa 1960's, painted, with chunks of pink paint missing from old watermarks on the nightstand.

The overall condition of the two rooms we saw was poor and did not reflect the photos and reviews on Hotels.com, which makes me question the veracity of this platform, and whether I will trust it in the future. We checked out without spending the night in either of those creepy rooms.

However, the bellman Pat, and Mikayla at the front desk were both lovely.

First, downtown Shreveport is in decline. What activity there is, ends at 5:00 pm as the city empties out. After you leave, keep an eye on your credit card statements. I booked and paid through a third party (Hotels.com). After I left the hotel charged my AMEX for additional taxes they claim were not included in my Hotels.com charges. Seems sketchy.

I’ve stayed several times no major issues. There was an event which I understood but the noise came after the event was over. The guest were really loud (which the hotel can’t control), there was a loud clicking noise in walls (Tiffany suite) and someone from the staff was very loud downstairs, the window is over the bar area so that’s expected.

My 5yo daughter and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Remingron while we were in town for Lainey Wilson concert. The rooms were unique, the facility was clean, and the staff was very pleasant, caring, and attentive. Valet option was great, considering I was the only person able to lug our luggage and park the car, but with valet, he helped me unload luggage and load it. That took a big burden off of me. They had a great variety of breakfast items available, too. I highly recommend staying here, i definitely would again.

Gorgeous, and recently remodeled hotel suites! Our suite (the entire hotel) was very clean (important to my husband), and so quiet! The bed and linens/blankets were wonderful. The staff members (everyone we met) were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel special. Pet friendly. The spa is awesome. We’re looking forward to staying here again next month when we come to town. Highly recommend.

The first room had no AC, so I was moved to another room that smelled strongly of mildew to the point it was hard to breathe. After going to the front desk a third time, I was told there were no more rooms available and that I would need to find another hotel—yet I was still charged for the room. Completely unacceptable experience.
