Failry simple from the outside but bedrooms were large and very nice. There's not a lot to do in Jeffrey's Bay if you're not a surfer but it was fine for one night. The staff kindly sent my husband's phone to our next destination when he left it behind in our room.

We had preordered a taxi with them which did t turn up. I had preened them our flight was delayed. We arrived at the airport and were stranded. No taxis at 21.30 at night. No one to call at hotel. Very expensive Uber to get to the hotel

We were able to park in enclosed car parking area and found the reception easily. We were made welcome then shown to our very spacious room overlooking the ocean. There was tea and coffee making facilities with water in the fridge as well as an honesty box of snacks if needed. There was a comfortable seating area and the room was tastily furnished.

This being our third time to Jeffrey’s Bay, we really took our time choosing our accommodation. We were very happy with our choice and would definitely return. Amazing stay on the Beach

Amazing stay

On the beach guesthouse was an amazing experience. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the views were even better than we hoped. Breakfast was excellent and there was an honesty bar offering all the drinks you would want. Lots of restaurants nearby and of course direct access to the beach. We watched dolphins swimming in the sea from our balcony, an amazing sight. If we are back in the area we will definitely return to this place.

Disappointing

The guest house has lots of potential with a nice location and good facilities. The staff are friendly, the breakfasts were good and the communial areas had nice sea views.
However, we paid extra for a superior room which said it had a balcony and sea views but it had two windows opening onto a public parking lot and the other opening onto the hotel beach entrance. The effect being that we had to keep the curtains closed and be in a dark room as there were people constantly walking by who could see in.
We complained about this. If it was not busy season we would have gone elsewhere . The staff mentioned that many people have complained about this.
In our opinion, unless you book the most expensive executive room, if you want privacy and a sea view from your room, it's not worth it. If you don't mind these then booking would be ok as you are on the beach (not the main swimming beach).

I spent just one night at this hotel with my 2 daughters and requested 2 rooms next to or close to each other. They didn't honor my request and put us in different sections of the building and my daughters on the ground floor with outside door (There was a metal gate in front of the sliding doors that they had to lock and my daughters had to turn the alarm on when in or outside of room)...doesn't give you a feeling that they will be safe. Food at hotel during breakfast was great. I would not return here because I didn't feel safe...

It really is on the beach

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. To be fair we did stay in the best room, but the condition throughout was outstanding. The view from our window was amazing, and the staff are really helpful. It was a shame to close the curtains at night and I couldn't wait to open them in the morning. Very quiet (except the waves). Try it you won't be disappointed.

Best beach view in ocean suites,and penthouse.breakfast in the lounge,is great ,fabulous eggs benedict,and has all around beach view,it is simply stunning I every detail.waverly is a little quieter side of town for those of us who are old,but who still love the ocean.

Good Hotel but be careful with the Standard Room

The hotel in general is very good : excellent breakfast, beautiful terrace & nice staff.

However our room was small and outdated for the rate we payed ( perhaps overpriced if we compared with our hotel in Cape town which was cheaper & the room was bigger & better) . We even had the bathroom floor covered in water after a shower because of a leak in the bath.

There were other rooms that appeared to be in a much better condition (recently modernized perhaps), but I suspect you must be prepared to pay a lot more.
