We were greeted and treated very nicely. Staff helped to search local museums to see if we could get into one the same day and gave recommendations on where to tour around the area. Room was spacious and clean and bed was comfortable.

Great hotel in Florence, Italy, Il Perseo is in a great location and makes a perfect homebase for sightseeing the city and excursions to the countryside. It's a 3 star hotel so its affordable but feels more like a 4 star hotel. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, the views from the windows are nice, and they offer a really good breakfast with a lot of variety. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer laundry service at an incredibly low price.

Fantastic location, 3-4 mins walk to the Duomo. Decent breakfast options. Only downside is that the property is very old and so are the rooms. When we walked into the room every time, there was a damp/musty smell which not pleasant. The room are in need for some renovation!

From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and happy to assist us. Our room was wonderful and the food was plentiful and varied. The location is fantastic, we felt very safe and secure there, and we would definitely stay there again. If you are looking for an affordable, convenient and friendly place to stay, this is the one!

Entry into the property can b tricky with not a lot of initial information for entry and end exit of the building. A mall old lift did the job. The actual foyer/entry of the building was not well maintained, but not part of the hotel's responsibility. The hotel lobby was on the 3rd floor with the dining area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was typical of size in Italy, but it worked. As did the small attached bathroom. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it met our needs for convenience to the majority of sights in the city. Location can't be beat, just a few steps down the street to the Duomo, lots of shopping nearby and plenty of choice for restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was varied over the 3 days and adequate to start your day. The beds and pillows were firm, The room was quiet, despite its central locarion. We would stay here again for the location.

The property is perfectly situated right in the heart of Florence. Because of our status with Expedia we were upgraded to a Suite with a private rooftop terrace with a view of the Duomo and surrounding area. It was amazing. The staff was super friendly. The included breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean.

The hotel had a great location, walkable distance to main attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The area was very safe as well.

Our room had a good air conditioning unit (rare in Florence). The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. Laura was excellent.

The Hotel Il Perseo's location, cleanliness, service, and a good breakfast make it a geat value. We have stayed here a few times and have gotten to know the owner and manager who are very hands on with managing the hotel and staff. I had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions or extra amenities. The beds were on the firm side, which might not suit everyone, but when I mentioned it, they provided extra padding, which made a big difference.

The air conditioning worked very well, which was much appreciated during the hot days. The shower had great water pressure and stayed consistently hot, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying with a good variety of options.

The location is excellent, with many major tourist sites within easy walking distance. Travelling with a teen, the spotty wifi was a slight nuisance.

Would recommend for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great service.

From the moment I arrived, this hotel felt like a home away from home. The staff were exceptionally warm and approachable—always ready to help with anything, and genuinely interested in making my stay memorable. I especially appreciated how the ladies at reception chatted with me about where I was from—it added such a personal touch.

The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, which made staying connected a breeze. Location-wise, it couldn't be better—just steps from the stunning Duomo Cathedral and surrounded by charming cafés and shops.

The room and hotel were spotlessly clean—truly the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. My room was cosy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything I needed. They even helped me out with an iron and ironing board on my first day, and held my luggage before check-in, which made my arrival super convenient.

The free breakfast was a delight: clean, plentiful, and full of delicious options you could help yourself to. It really set the tone for each day.

If you're looking for the perfect blend of location, comfort, friendliness, and cleanliness—this hotel ticks every box. I absolutely loved my stay and would return in a heartbeat.

The hotel is in a great location.
The rooms and hallways are tired. The bathroom door was cracked at the bottom and didn’t shut properly and the shower leaked. This, along with the mediocre toiletries make it a budget hotel and we will likely stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel Perseo is really situated in the perfect spot for everything, especially the train station. It was clean, the staff were really helpfull, there was drinks available free 24 hrs a day. The room was small but O.K. as you were mainly out and about and the room was just to sleep and freshen up in. Good hotel - would stay here again .

The location is great for sightseeing but overly crowded once you are out on the street. Hotel staff is very friendly and nice, will try to answer to your questions even they don’t know all the answers. Room is ok, basic type with a bathroom very small. Good for 1-2 travelers probably not good for family trip. Overall a good choice to stay in Florence for a day or two.

Only small issues were crib was an over used pack n play that didn’t seem the sturdiest so we opted not to use it and heavy rains caused the drain in the shower to back up but breakfast was good and couldn’t beat the location.

Just okay, but good for the price. Showers in Italy are all small but this one we almost couldn’t move inside of. Room was clean and area was good for getting to all the attractions. The included breakfast was also just okay. Sits on a very busy road, so not a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence if that is what you are looking for.

Don't be put off by the Hotel entrance, access via secure gates and lift to the 3rd floor Reception. Very helpful staff, bedroom and bathroom very comfortable and spacious. Small breakfast room but always very well stocked, super friendly staff and kept very clean. A great 3 star hotel option for an enjoyable stay in Florence.

The room was clean and comfortable. The room didn't have any good view but we were using the hotel as a place to rest between our activities. The best part of the room was the shower. After a long day of activities, it was a bliss to get in the shower and get a deep massage with the high pressured water. The breakfast is typical cold, continental spread with different breads, fruits and juice/tea/coffee. They had good pillows (hard and soft for each person) and there was an in-room safe. The location was good too with all the major sites within 5-15 minutes of walking distance.

Amazing stay!!!

Hotel was amazing. All the Hotel employees were very friendly, courteous & helpful. Room was clean & well maintained. Breakfast was good. I rarely find beds in hotels good. I like my bed mattress on the firm side and it hit the mark here.

We really had a great time!!! The location of hotel is fantastic, next to the Duomo and within 0.5-1 km of every major tourist attraction.
