Nice room and bathroom, comfortable bed and very central, making most places walkable. Pillows could use an upgrade. Arrived early and was told room couldn't be ready early and luggage could be placed in a sitting space open to guests. Room key had to be left at the front and picked up each time we left/came back from hotel which was very inconvenient. Breakfast room was tiny and when we went to it there wasn't enough room to sit. Nice place but wouldn't choose to stay again.

Great hotel located on 3rd floor of the building. Ground floor entrance isn't very inviting but once in the hotel, all is good. We had an economy room which was on the small side. Bathroom and shower are tight. Wish we'd gone for a more expensive room. Good selection of continental breakfast, and every member of staff were brilliant. Couldn't do enough for you. Location couldn't have been any better, right in the heart of the action. Although the sound of bells will wake you every morning! Would stay here again.

The hotel’s location was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included in our package, and the quality was good.

However, in my opinion, the hotel did not meet the expectations suggested by its rating on Expedia. The washroom in Room 304, where we stayed for three nights, had a persistent unpleasant odor, even with the fan running overnight. Additionally, the room faces a back alley where some homeless individuals were staying, and there was noticeable noise until midnight.

Also, in the photos, the hotel appeared to be new and modern, but in reality, when we arrived, it was much older and more worn than expected.

House keeping was everyday and did a great job. The breakfast food was pretty good. The different coffees' were great. Perfectly located. Could easily walk to all the local restaurants and musuems. We had the rooftop junior suite. Awesome views of the city. 20 minute ride to the airport. 10 minute walk to the tram. Would definitely go back again.

This is the perfect hotel at a perfect spot in Florence. The rooms were great, the water pressure was amazing, and it was an easy walk to anywhere in the City Center. I've stayed at several hotels in the City Center, and this was one of the best experiences I've had. I highly recommend it for individuals or couples visiting Florence.

Great hotel in Florence, Italy, Il Perseo is in a great location and makes a perfect homebase for sightseeing the city and excursions to the countryside. It's a 3 star hotel so its affordable but feels more like a 4 star hotel. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, the views from the windows are nice, and they offer a really good breakfast with a lot of variety. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer laundry service at an incredibly low price.

Fantastic location, 3-4 mins walk to the Duomo. Decent breakfast options. Only downside is that the property is very old and so are the rooms. When we walked into the room every time, there was a damp/musty smell which not pleasant. The room are in need for some renovation!

Entry into the property can b tricky with not a lot of initial information for entry and end exit of the building. A mall old lift did the job. The actual foyer/entry of the building was not well maintained, but not part of the hotel's responsibility. The hotel lobby was on the 3rd floor with the dining area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was typical of size in Italy, but it worked. As did the small attached bathroom. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it met our needs for convenience to the majority of sights in the city. Location can't be beat, just a few steps down the street to the Duomo, lots of shopping nearby and plenty of choice for restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was varied over the 3 days and adequate to start your day. The beds and pillows were firm, The room was quiet, despite its central locarion. We would stay here again for the location.

Our room had a good air conditioning unit (rare in Florence). The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. Laura was excellent.

The Hotel Il Perseo's location, cleanliness, service, and a good breakfast make it a geat value. We have stayed here a few times and have gotten to know the owner and manager who are very hands on with managing the hotel and staff. I had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions or extra amenities. The beds were on the firm side, which might not suit everyone, but when I mentioned it, they provided extra padding, which made a big difference.

The air conditioning worked very well, which was much appreciated during the hot days. The shower had great water pressure and stayed consistently hot, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying with a good variety of options.

The location is excellent, with many major tourist sites within easy walking distance. Travelling with a teen, the spotty wifi was a slight nuisance.

Would recommend for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great service.

A Hidden Gem in Florence

From the moment I arrived, this hotel felt like a home away from home. The staff were exceptionally warm and approachable—always ready to help with anything, and genuinely interested in making my stay memorable. I especially appreciated how the ladies at reception chatted with me about where I was from—it added such a personal touch.

The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, which made staying connected a breeze. Location-wise, it couldn't be better—just steps from the stunning Duomo Cathedral and surrounded by charming cafés and shops.

The room and hotel were spotlessly clean—truly the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. My room was cosy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything I needed. They even helped me out with an iron and ironing board on my first day, and held my luggage before check-in, which made my arrival super convenient.

The free breakfast was a delight: clean, plentiful, and full of delicious options you could help yourself to. It really set the tone for each day.

If you're looking for the perfect blend of location, comfort, friendliness, and cleanliness—this hotel ticks every box. I absolutely loved my stay and would return in a heartbeat.

The rooms and hallways are tired. The bathroom door was cracked at the bottom and didn’t shut properly and the shower leaked. This, along with the mediocre toiletries make it a budget hotel and we will likely stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel Perseo is really situated in the perfect spot for everything, especially the train station. It was clean, the staff were really helpfull, there was drinks available free 24 hrs a day. The location is great for sightseeing but overly crowded once you are out on the street. Hotel staff is very friendly and nice, will try to answer to your questions even they don’t know all the answers. Room is ok, basic type with a bathroom very small. Good for 1-2 travelers probably not good for family trip. Overall a good choice to stay in Florence for a day or two.

Only small issues were crib was an over used pack n play that didn’t seem the sturdiest so we opted not to use it and heavy rains caused the drain in the shower to back up but breakfast was good and couldn’t beat the location.
