The room was spotless. The staff were very kind and interested in making our experience the best it could be. The breakfast was delicious and we could see monkeys in the trees while having our morning coffee. The view from the room was a bit obscured but we were so close to the beach it didn't matter. Great to have deals at local restaurants as well. We had a great stay!

My experience at this hotel was simply outstanding. From the very beginning, the staff’s service was spectacular friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel itself is truly beautiful, carefully maintained, and offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed.

The included breakfast is another highlight: the variety is excellent, with plenty of delicious options to choose from every morning.

The location couldn’t be better, perfectly situated to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Without a doubt, it’s the best hotel in the area. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

I recently stayed at Hotel Santa Teresa and was pleasantly surprised by how much it has improved since my last visit years ago. Everything feels clean, renewed, and very well maintained, giving the hotel a fresh and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk in.

The service was excellent—every employee I interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely willing to help with anything I needed. It really made a difference in the overall experience.

The location is also a big plus: close to everything, easy to get around, and perfect for enjoying the area without long commutes.

Overall, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making the stay enjoyable and comfortable. It felt like a completely different place from my previous experience in the past, in the best way possible.

I definitely recommend it and look forward to returning.

I stayed for two days with my family and friends, and everything was absolutely perfect. I had stayed here before, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the hotel has been completely renovated under new management. Everything is spotless, modern, and well-maintained.

The breakfast was one of the highlights — freshly prepared and delicious, with excellent service throughout our stay. The staff was friendly and attentive at all times.

The location is unbeatable — just a 1-minute walk to the beach. We truly enjoyed every moment and highly recommend this place!

We had a great 2 night stay here and would definitely come back. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast included was excellent-I particularly loved the cappuccino machine! The pool was small but lovely. The ocean view was only partial due to trees, but it is only a block to to the beach which was beautiful.

We could not be any happier, this was the best location, close to the beach, great pool area to relax in a shady spot for peace and quiet. The rooms and room service are 5***** clean and fresh, smells amazing. The staff is incredibly helpful and so friendly. We felt like we were family. Look out for the two resident iguanas.

We stayed here for two days. Very clean room and hotel. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Nice comfortable bed. The most helpful and friendly staff. Especially David and Victor and Estrid. They respond to WhatsApp messages and calls immediately with helpful answers. David was on the phone with me for over twenty minutes walking me through the process of booking a ferry from Paquera to Puntarenas. We would most definitely stay here without hesitation if we are again in Santa Teresa!

Newly renovated. Steps to the beach and nice restaurants such as the Bakery. The pool is a bit small but sufficient for a lazy day away from the beach. The young staff is super professional and friendly. David helped us settle in and throughout our stay listened patiently to my broken Spanish. Louis helped us book a ferry ride at Playa Naranjo because the website is in Spanish only. We hope to revisit some day

A very enjoyable stay

Fabulous boutique hotel, with great design! Perfect location, close to the beach and restaurants, bars, yet quiet for a good rest. There were small construction works being done during our stay, but the staff could not have been more accommodating, so we were not inconvenienced at all. A nice variety is offered for breakfast. The service was second to none, all staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Jose, Stephen and Luis, who even booked ferry tickets for us. You guys are a credit to the business! Highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

My three friends and I stayed at Hotel Santa Teresa by the Beach at the end of June (during the end of rainy season), and took advantage of their newly renovated two-bedroom apartment - which was a very spacious space with everything you need and more. The beachfront and garden view was a highlight of our trip.

The staff and manager are incredibly friendly and will provide support with anything you need. The breakfast is a 11/10 with fresh fruit and classic breakfast options upon ordering - including pancakes, French toast, and CR rice and beans.

We truly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Santa Teresa!!

this spring break, myself and four other girls came and stayed at hotel santa teresa by the beach. we are absolutely at a lost for words to begin to explain how much we enjoyed our stay. we were looking for a boutique hotel feel and this is exactly that. the photos and map don’t do it justice because its beautiful and spacious and sitting not even a block from the beach. we were greeted and spoiled by the same staff every morning who went absolutely above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. the staff is truly what made this place so special. we especially loved steven, david, louis, kevin, and josue. we will forever love and remember hotel santa teresa by the beach!

I highly recommend this hotel. We loved it so much we booked another eight days here.
It is close to the beach. The rooms are very quiet and you can hear the ocean.
I love the people that work here. Lydia who cleans the room goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. Kevin and David who run the desk are great at helping you with anything. The restaurants that Kevin recommended were our favorites.
The hotel serves a wonderful breakfast every morning. It has fresh fruit and a nice variety of choices. The staff is hard working.
This hotel is great for all ages. We are so glad we stayed here.

One of my favorite travel stays. The staff was more than welcoming at all times and Toto really hooked it up between the ATVs, surf lessons, things to do, etc. The staff and location really made my trip. Make sure to rent an atv and tip the staff, and hey are super appreciative and are really fantastic.

Great staff and service at Hotel Santa Teresa

The level of service from the staff was great and what we really wanted to reiterate. They were very attentive and helpful to recommend and book reservations on our behalf across town. Beyond the basic services that you'd expect though, we felt like the staff went above and beyond their accountability to make sure that we were served and enjoyed our experience.

Besides the great service, we really enjoyed the hotel's location and proximity to the beach. For food, there's a good bakery and a good selection of other restaurants nearby. While it's situated at the southern tip of Playa Teresa, we felt like we were able to get our full experience.

Lastly, the hotel is a pretty cozy footprint but it never felt crowded with other guests along the outdoor walkways or at the pool. We wish the outdoor bar would've been in service during our stay, but perhaps after COVID eventually subsides, that will be another great option for guests. The included breakfast and storage of bags are other great benefits offered by the hotel.

Santa Teresa Hotel staff are truly dedicated to give a great service and also kind people like Leo from the entrance. Everything went smoothly since arrival with the quickest check in and with a parking spot reserved on site. The room was spotless clean and with a view right into the Beach from the comfortability of this big balcony. Other accommodations like pool area were super organized and the breakfast service was a great meal tasty and very well served.
This hotel knows how to give a great hospitality service. I recommend everyone to visit and relax in their care. Thanks for your work!

Very clean, excellent breakfast(omelets, gallo pinto, maduro, fruits, bread, cereal, yogurt, nuts etc) very friendly staff specially the receptionist, Bryan. Clean bathrooms, family and pet friendly. Stayed there for two nights, different rooms though, had to stay the second night because the car I rented broke down. But didn't think twice to stay there a second night. The price was great compared to the other hotels in the area. My boyfriend and I had a great time!

The only reason why I was happy about this hotel was that it is so close to the beach! When I arrived my sheets weren’t fresh and after 3 days when my room was cleaned they didn’t even give me fresh sheets again- I knew this because there was sand in my bed. Also did not receive a refund for one night even though I checked out out a day early due to my flight being moved up and there was no cooperation from the manager

The hotel could use some upgrades especially in the bathroom and the windows. Although the bathroom was clean, there was calcium buildup. Breakfast was good but the breakfast staff was not friendly. However the front desk staff was nice and helpful. Location near everything.
