This hotel lost my reservation. I had to find another hotel. Then they gave me a dirty stinky room. The kitchenette had dirty dishes in the sink. The pool is old and rundown. I was never so glad to leave a hotel. Absolutely in the top 2 worst hotels ever. Please post this

Beautiful location, service needs attention

e paid extra for a sea view room but were put in a room looking directly from not a water tower. The location is excellent right on the beach with an amazing pool view. Breakfast is average as is the service of the rooms and one of the days our room was not done at all. Probably a worldwide 3 star hotel but a wonderful position.

Reasonably price with everything

The room is big and clean, bathroom also is big with nice equipment. The swimming pool with the sea view is amazing!
Spa service so comfortable and relax!
I think the restaurant need to improve, breakfast buffet just have a little of hot dishes.

I liked most about their private beach and the swimming pool. They were very clean. Breakfast buffet was another plus point. I just didn’t like the room. It wasn’t clean or nice as it showed in the pictures. The location was great though. It was close to every where, and we used cabs as our transportation (I used MaiLinh app, it’s just like Uber app here.) Overall, I will book a different hotel to stay and pay extra if I have to if I ever come back to Phu Quoc again.

I did not like this property at all. Very bad service. Manager doesn't know what she was doing or cared about her guest. The rooms are not good from the pictures. Low class and not worth the money. The pool area is decent otherwise i would not come back or recommend to my friends/family

Staff was friendly, the reception area is nice. But overall the hotel has very poor maintenance. The bathroom has broken tiles, lots of mold on the shower curtain, and no ventilation. Rooms have ants & such a thin wall you could hear every sound people were making in the next room. The hotel restaurant and the infinity pool is right next to the beach but below its floor is stinky sewage. So we had breakfast with sewage smell coming up from below. Pools are dirty. And on top of that, there are lots of constructions in the alley.

It was far better than reviews on Tripadvisor. Lovely spacious rooms and balcony overlooking the sea. Dramatic sunsets. Beautiful pools. And sunbeds towels were not a problem at 8am. Fab breakfast. Okay cupboard door to fridge was faulty and showe trays are too shallow, but it wasn’t the end of the world. There are far more pluses than minuses. I do think a daily power wash around public areas wouldn’t go amiss, instead of sweeping up sand around public areas, but got a feeling that tiles might not be able to sustain the pressure. Anyway not my problem. It would
Be beneficial of management to defend itself.regarding review as they don’t respond to any positives or negatives. We had a great time there even though I think we were the only Brits there. Wouldn’t have wanted to have paid more than we did. It was a fair price and quite honestly, if not nit picking, we had a lovely time.
Happy hour is ideal 4.39-6.30 to watch the most amazing sunset. Guest from other nations were not a problem. Bigger picture overall we had a lovely stay and lovely staff. Yes I would recommend value for money. It is not Europe and this is a luxury hotel for a new country trying to catch up with the West and such like, but that makes it more interesting. So take the snob factor out and enjoy it for what it is and please manager respond to your reviews.

The beachfront pool near the beach is the extra marks and the view is superb. Friendly staff and attend to request quickly. The only con is wish they can maintain their cleanliness as there is flies on the bathroom ceiling and all died on next morning which fall onto the hand basin. Probably the problem only happen on the beachfront room. Overall is nice experience staying on this hotel.

We enjoyed most of our time at The Palmy. We did book a sea view room through Expedia howevere we arrived and tehre was no sea view just a garden view. When we talked to staff they said they recieved a voucher for a deluxe room nothing about sea view from Expedia. Breakfast is ok. Pool at beach gets busy early and there is still construction in the area and at the hotel.

Very comfortable room. Mostly Russians at the hotel. Ocean very nice to swim -- but no beach. You walk down stone stairs from the swimming pool directly into the ocean. Food here was below average. Would recommend eating elsewhere. We were denied a drink at the bar at 9:45 because the restaurant closed at 10:00. Overall, very comfortable room with good value for the money.

We were very happy with our hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Mr Ben gave us good advice on what to see on the island.
Only detractors are that noise from next door travels through the walls easily so we had disturbed sleep on quite a few mornings. Also a fresh towel wasn't so fresh and had a soil mark on it which was unpleasant.

We had a very nice stay at the Palmy. The room was excellent, the bed very comfortable, and the service very good. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but I recommend eating lunch and dinner elsewhere, as the restaurant food is overpriced and a bit disappointing. The pools and pool areas are very clean, but were quite crowded during our stay. The beach areas were small and there was a lot of trash around. The surrounding area is not great. There is a lot of trash everywhere, and construction sites surround the property. The area is clearly developing, and I imagine will be more built up in years to come. It is close to lots of other restaurants and the city of Duong Dong.

Really nice resort but when checking in it seemed there were too many “cooks in the kitchen” to do the same job and that felt weird.. there were not enough towels at the pool and the bathroom was not very clean. The staff is really nice though but I think I would not come back - definitely worth to check something cheaper as everyone has access to the beach

The Palmy has intentionally misleading advertising on Expedia. Our stay was very disappointing. The first room we checked into had a non functionang phone and air conditioner. After requesting a new room, we were put into a lower grade room with a non flushing toilet, another non working phone, a badly functioning WiFi, an improperly intalled shower, and an AC that broke down by thr 2nd night. With no overnight maintenance, we had to sweat and suffer all night. I also had to show the daytime maintenace how to fix the toilet, and I am no expert.

As regarding the \"spa\", there is no spa onsite. The Palmy advertises the \"Thaan Spa\", the 55th top rated by Conde Nast, as being onsite but it is really miles away. The Palmy has a few massage tables in the basement. That is all. It is no spa.

The Palmy advertises a Cocktail Bar. They in fact have a sparsely supplied bar but I had to show the so called \"bar tender\" how to make a Bloody Mary and a Whisky and Coke. There is no poolside waiter service.

Now the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had undercooked meats, a small selection of fruit and juices that ran out quickly and took a long time to be replenished, and I waited 10 minutes for clean juice glasses and coffee cups to be washed and replenished.

The ownership of the Palmy needs to step up and spend some money to professionalize everything about this resort.

Staff Is excellent, especially Mr. ocean! The hotel is still under construction but the staff make every effort to ensure your stay is perfect. The gym was not available but they paid for my taxi to the local gym and for my entry fee. The pool is lovely, the pizza is great as is the buffet breakfast.
They still have a lot of things they need to work out, such as service at the bar by the pool (there was no bartender so I made my own drink! But I was very happy to do so and the staff enjoyed it). This place will be great in a few months from now. I will definitely go back!

This hotel is brand-new and not entirely finished, so there is some construction work still happening. however we stayed in one of the beachside villas which was perfect. The pool area is beautiful and directly on the beach. the staff are wonderful and the restaurant is great too. will definitely be back!

Booked for a room, and as it was our honeymoon trip were upgraded to the beachfront room... amazing view and great start! The room is big and clean, but no walls whatsoever between \"bed\" and toilets/shower, just a light curtain: very design, but not much privacy. Anyway, was great experience overall!

The swimming pool is very beautiful and has a little jacuzzi area. Just go down the stairs and you are at the beach.

Hotel not fully completed, as the beach-side is the first open, and two other buidings will open in the back. Very nice experience overall.

Breakfast is a \"a la carte\" buffet, meaning you can order anything from the menu, but no buffet-display.

Available scooters to rent from the hotel and at local prices.

The location was perfect at the beach.
Some bad smell on the way to Resturant.

Some trash in the area and on the beach.
Nice room and view who was clean, but the shower needed deep cleaning.
We lived in 8th floor free from bugs.
Very loud music at the pool, impossible for us to stay there for a long time.

最初、廃墟かと思いました。
横に廃墟、新館と旧館と道を挟んでホテルがありました、友達と2部屋予約しましたが友達が新館。私は旧館。バラバラの建物で困りました。
私の泊まった旧館は廊下が暗く、部屋の家具も古く建て付けが悪く開閉するのに嫌な音、嫌な臭いがしました。カードキーを入れないとエアコンも冷蔵庫も電源が切れるので、外から帰ると西陽で部屋が蒸し風呂状態！冷蔵庫の飲み物もぬるくなっていて…改善すべきだと思います。
朝食のメニューは普通。会場まで行く小さな橋みたいな通り道は下がドブ？いやーな臭いで、食欲おちます。

プールは全部で３つあり、ビューも良かったのでそこは◎！水深もなかなかあり気持ちよかったです。小さいけどプライベートビーチもありプールから直接アクセスでき楽しめました。

Avarage hotel that could be really good. Location is good and the pools have all the potential. But everything is just a bit off. The choices for breakfast is really bad except for the guy making omelettes. Cleaning service will come and disturb you even if you put up no disturb sign. The pools are beuteful but with some more plants and care it could be top of the line. The pool bar was never open. Barely 3 star hotel that with correct education of personal and some small improvement could be a high 4

Rommet vi fikk var veldig stort, det går en trapp ned fra restauranten til vannet og derfra kan man gå på en kant langs bygget for å komme til stranden. Litt skuffende at de ikke har egen strand, men etter et par dager så finner man at ut hotellet er faktisk veldig bra, deilig å gå ut langs kanten og bort på stranden ved en strand at, kjøpe seg en øl, ligge i solsengen og er også massasje på stranden, 100 kr for en time . Frokost var veldig bra, bassenget og området ved restauranten er veldig fint. Trimrommet trenger en oppgradering, men fungerer. Man trenger noen dager for å virkelig sette pris på hotellet.

Billederne lignede på ingen måde hotellet i virkeligheden. Ved ankomst opdagede vi hurtigt, at intet af personalet kunne engelsk og alt kommunikation skulle foregå over Google translate. Sengetøjet på værelset havde pletter, derfor tvivlsomt om det var skiftet. Vi skulle selv bede om at få skiftet sengetøj, da dette ikke blev gjort. Var der kommet flere pletter på, blev dynen bare vendt om. Morgenmadsbuffet var næsten uspiselig, da der var fluer og insekter i maden og fugle fløj rundt og sked ved maden. Vandet i poolen virkede klistret og tykt og baren/restaurant ved poolen til stranden var ikke åben. Positivt var dog at vi fik rene håndklæder hver dag og størrelsen på altanen.

Litt slitent hotell. Lokale personal fantastiske, hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Wii fii funker ikke i første etg. Og når vi snakker om første etg. Er ikke det et bra sted å bo hvis du ønsker ro. Dørpartiet er ikke isolert, så du får med deg alt som skjer i ganga enten du vil eller ei. Skrikende unger, og party folk. Skal du ha en solseng ved bassenget må du stå tidlig opp. De russiske gjesten er der før frokost kl06:30 og legger ut badehåndkledene sine for å komme tilbake utover dagen. Veldig irriterende. Øya er fantastisk, sjømaten er fantastisk, neste gang vil jeg bo nord på øya.

另外參加了酒店的Spa，洒店的單張打着是Thann品牌，但係完全不是用那個品牌的產品，而技師也是外面來也不是專業人員，所以很失望。

Några nätter på Palmy

Hotellet, de flesta researrangörer och affärer i närheten vände sig till ryska turister. Jag fick inte det rum jag bokat och utsikten var en personalbostad. Rummet var dock fint och rent fast sängen var hård och det fanns inga garderober. Det pågår mycket byggarbete på och utanför hotellet. Stranden är smal, men det finns gott om solstolar vid poolen, bara några steg från havet. Servicen på restaurangen och baren var långsam och engelskakunskaperna var so och så. Jag var bara där i några dagar, så det var ok med sina brister, men skulle inte boka det för en längre vistelse.

オーバーブックなのに、部屋が壊れて居る？と嘘をつかれ向かいの格安ホテルにダウングレードされました。
僅かな差額の返金のみで、この条件ご嫌なら他のホテルを自分で探して！と…
前金で、こちらから予約しているのに…
しかも、後から来る欧米人は普通にチェックインが出来ているって完全に人種差別です！
この様な対応のホテルをこちらで取り扱っている事にももんだいはあると思います。
また、チェックインが快適に出来たかのアンケートにもこの状況をコメントし、確認後回答しますとの返事がありましたが未だに返事はありません。
hotels.com自体もいい加減だと思います！

Hotellissa tehdään edelleen rakennustöitä joka päivä. Rälläköinti alkaa aamuisin klo 8. Myös viereisen hotellin rakennustyömaan äänet häiritsevät hotellin pihassa olevalla allasalueella. Pihassa olevalla allasalueella ei ole suihkua. Rannassa oleva allasalue oli täyteen ahdettu rantatuoleja, jotka olivat pyyhkeillä varatut jo aikaisin aamulla, vaikkakin tuolit olivat tyhjinä ison osan päivää.

Aamiainen oli tavanomainen niukalla vaihtelulla. Lämpimät ruuat oli kylmiä ja ravintolassa oli viemärin hajua päivittäin.
Iltaravintola oli kallis laatuun nähden.

Huoneiden siivous huonotasoista.Päivittäiset siivoukset venyivät jopa ilta seitsemään ja pöytä yms. pintoja ei pyyhitty olenkaan.
Huoneiden ulko-ovet erittäin äänekkäät ja äänieristämättömät.

Hotelli ei vastaa 4 tähden hotellia miltään osin.

Hotellet vid paradisstranden

Infarten till hotellet fick oss att undra om vi kommit rätt. Det hade vi och allt visade sig vara mycket bra. Bästa läget vid stranden. Trevligt rum och bra restaurang. Gott utbud av utflykter. Guiderna borde dock gå en bättre kurs om rollen som guide. Vänliga människor överallt.

Frühstück war ok. Zimmer sind hübsch ausgestattet. Allerdings stört die riesige Baustelle neben dem Hotel und auch die Gänge im Hotel sind absolut Renovierungsbedürftig. Für 3 Tage Strandurlaub hat es gepasst. Was den Late Check Out betrifft, verlangt das Hotel eine dreist hohe Summe extra. Das ist in anderen Hotels günstiger.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten aber Probleme mit der Kommunikation beim Tranfser vom Flughafen zum Hotel. Es ist am besten wenn man dort anruft anstelle denen eine Email zu schreiben. Als wir angekommen sind, haben wir ein Upgrade bekommen. Das Zimmer war recht schön eingerichtet aber leider funktionierte unser Wasserkocher nicht und wir hatten Schimmel an den Rollladen im Badezimmer (Das Personal hat das behoben als wir an der Rezeption angerufen haben). Der Blick aufs Meer war wirklich schön. Der Strand direkt am Hotel war eher mittelmäßig. Überall war Müll, darum waren wir nur einmal am Strand und haben stattdessen die Außenpools des Hotels genoßen. Im Moment ist eine Baustelle direkt vorm Hotel darum kann es schon lauter werden zur Mittagsstunde und am Abend kann es schon dazu kommen das man vom Hotelzimmer aus vietnamesischen Gesang von der Karaokebar hört.

Choosing this hotel was a great success. Compared to the popular Western oriented hotel, it was cozy and cost effective because many of the customers seemed to be the Vietnamese, not the sightseers from neighbor countries. Staff members at the hotel were kind and smiling all the time. I cannot find any disadvantages in staying at this hotel even though it was a short stay. Thanks!

Servicen på resturangen var utmärkt, pool området var helt fantastiskt men rummen behöver definitiv fräschas upp samt förbättra städningen. Perfekt läge med direkt anslutning till stranden från restaurang och poolområde. Miss Linda som var manager på restaurangen var underbar och hjälsam med allt.

Rommet er ganske slitt i forhold til bildet. Ellers var Fasiliteter bra.
Stort minus at de ikke skifter sengetøy daglig i og med at det er 4*.
Hadde samme sengetøy gjennom hele oppholdet, så endte med at jeg måtte rengjøre og børste sengen min hver natt. Fant veggdyr i senga som bet meg og dattera mi!! Fikk noia for å sove om nettene.

Hotellet var bra och poolområdet väldigt bra. Städningen kunde ha varit bättre. Det som förvånade mest var att de var så dåliga på engelska. Man förväntar sig att personalen i receptionen skall kunna konversera på engelska, åtminstonde lite. Men det var inte någon högre klass. Det var väldigt mycket ryska gäster. Men de störde inte oss.

Siisti hotelli kahdella altaalla ja lähialueella sopivasti kauppoja, ravintoloita ja hierontapaikkoja. Ok kuntosali ja happy hour tarjous. 4 päivän aikana vain 1 ystävällinen työntekijä Nhi aamiaiselle mennessä. Muutoin epäystävällinen ja tyly palvelu.

Une bonne note pour : Les piscines, la vue de la chambre sur la mer et la restauration.

Le cadre environnant n'est pas des plus agréable : chantier permanent et odeur nauséabonde au niveau du pont d'accès à la plage

Ett bra hotell med schysst frukost.
Två stora pooler med bar vid den som låg vid stranden.
Rent och snyggt. Gratis transfer till flyget. Mycket restauranger runt omkring. En bit ifrån Night Market men taxi dit kostar typ 50000vnd. Det byggs runtomkring,men det kan man ju inte lasta hotellet för!!

Müssen echt sagen. Sehr erholsam und alles sauber. Die Roller zum mieten sind in top Verfassung. Auch keine Problem beim abgeben. Wurden nicht Mal kontrolliert. Pool sind in Ordnung. Einmal hat bei einem das Wasser nicht gepasst. Würde aber sehr schnell passend gemacht. Gerne wieder.

Mixed feelings

The Hotel is in good condition, the rooms are beautiful and the pool area is great. Even the breakfast is surprisingly good!

But there are some things to have in mind:

The reception is not good. They promised me free pick up at the airport and honeymoon surprise for my wife. They forgot both. They can barely speak English and they have a sign that says they accept Amex but they do not. When asked about cleaning or other basic questions they don’t understand.

The cleaning of the rooms is sloppy and they never change the sheets. You will wake up by their screaming walkie talkies or they will knock on your door even tough you have the do not disturb sign up. This happened twice.

The rooms are loud and you will hear your neighbors. Both in the room next door and when they talk in the hallway.

Die Umgebung und auch die ganze Insel ist voll mit Abfall. Der Strand ist mässig und auch schmutzig. Hier liegt sehr viel Abfall herum.
Der Pool war am ersten Tag schon ziemlich trübe und dann ab dem zweiten Tag richtig grün. Das hat sich leider auch während des Aufenthaltes von 5 Nächten nicht geändert. Sehr schade.....

Överlag ett bra hotell, kan väl tycka det finns lite för mkt skavanker. Rummen överlag skulle behöva fräschas upp lite (räcker med färg och tremco). Överlag bra boende som jag rekommenderar.

Hemskt - bo inte här!

En stor besvikelse - bo inte här! Smutsigt hotell med extremt dålig service (utom killen i baren som gör ett bra jobb och alltid ger ett trevligt bemötande). Hotellet tar betalt och marknadsför sig som ett finare hotell på ön, och ska därför bli bedömt därefter. Renlighet och service håller inte bättre än ett tvåstjärnigt hotell. Poolen är fruktansvärt smutsig (se bild) - den gick från blå till grön/grå under de 5 dagar vi vistades på hotellet. Vi uppmärksammade personalen på detta men ingenting hände. Det är smutsigt och skräpigt överallt - ingen dukar av eller rengör bord eller poolområde. Det luktar äckligt. Det är extremt lyhört - vi vaknade flera gångerna per natt av ljud i korridoren. Frukosten är stökig och rätterna tog snabbt slut utan att fyllas på. Poolen är överbelamrad med folk och hotellet har ingen privat strand. Jag kommer varna mina svenska vänner för detta ställe, då Phu Quoc har betydligt bättre hotell att erbjuda för ett mycket mer förmånligt pris. Det enda positiva med hotellet är dess pizza och utsikten.
