The room apparently was not the smallest - it was so small that on one side of the bed was the window and the other side was the bathroom door. You could barely stand in the room or bathroom.
For the price you have a better value at other hotels around the Capitole.
I was told they charge due to the view- cannot see the garrone as tall trees and unless you stand at the window there is no view at all..
Some staff were good but there was one with a major attitude

Great place if you are not driving

Beautiful room a friendly, helpful staff, but people with cars should avoid or the hotel should tell you about parking when you reserve. The garage is 5 blocks away, but 10 blocks through a tortuous route from the hotel. One missed turn and 30 minutes wasted.

Two day stay in Toulouse we had booked the room with a terrace but due to a mix up only given a standard double room . As only one room with a terrace which was already booked no option to stay. Offered a breakfast as compensation but have requested monetary compensation as prebooked through Expedia.

The staff was outstanding. The location is great. Can easily access many sites, places to eat and there is a market across the street. The Brasserie at the street level is excellent. Could be a little updated and cleaned but it was all good. The bed was clean and comfortable, the hot water came on right away. It’s a fun, quirky hotel. No appropriate for travelers in a wheelchair - the breakfast is down a flight of stairs. The rooms are upstairs to the elevator. Older building with narrow hallways. There is no on site parking. The Carmes parking structure is a 10 min walk away. Parking is limited on the street. The side streets are SO skinny as well as all parking spots.

The hotel location was pretty good. When we checked in, the person at the front desk was super friendly. He knew at least 7 languages (according to him), so we had no issues communicating. The room was small with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a sliding door that you can see through what's going on in there (not so much privacy). The bathtub had a hand shower and no place to hang it. For my husband who is 6'3\"(191cm) it was impossible to use it. Maybe it is European thing.

This a prefect weekend getaway hotel with wonderful receptionist, who was extremely helpful and accommodating with our early arrival. The hotel really does have a bohemian Art feel and wonderful location right in the center of Toulouse. We had a delightful room overlooking the river and bridge. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to the river and Pont Neuf. Good air conditioning and quiet surroundings due to great double glazing. Lovely reception area and friendly staff.
The hotel room was quirky. Small, with limited storage space. The fridge was useful. No kettle, but coffee maker available. Two pods free and then pay 0.90€ for each extra pod. No stand-up shower, just a bath and a very strange set-up for a sliding door to the en-suite affording little privacy. WiFi was problematic and I got fed up with switching the router off and on, so just resorted to 5G in the end.

Situated in a perfect location within the Bordeaux golden triangle at a very reasonable rate, the hotel was perfect for our short trip.. we were in the Wagner suite overlooking the main square and we had ample room with most things we needed. The rooms could do with a kettle and fridge.

The good and bad are the same. It's an old building so it has charm - and challenges. Decor could use some fresh paint and repairs. The breakfast was quite good. It would be better if there was a toaster. Staff are very good. Would I come back? No. Am I sorry I stayed there? Again, no. I can do a little better for the price.

Dreadful place

The aroma if sewage attacks your nostrils as you approach the hotel and continue into the foyer and lift. The hotel is incredibly shabby - chipped paint, peeling wallpaper and plaster work with big chunks missing. This continued into our room. The \"wood\" or chipboard in the bathroom was rotten, mildewed and dirty around the bath. The shower is handheld - very difficult to wash your hair that way! Add those discomforts to the carpark fees of 30 euros a day + good 10 minute walk, extra charge for breakfast and city taxes...a totally miserable experience. Stayed two nights as it was a non-refundable booking. Will not be using Hotels.com - will book directly with hotels in future to have recourse should things go badly.

The hotel is wacky, but appears tired . There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby area, like Bad drains. The bath tub is high and not easy to get in and out of no grab rail . The shower has a hose that is not fixed and hard to use without soaking the whole bathroom.
Location is good for walking around the town.
The Bridge is very pretty. Lots of restaurants nearby and a covered market

It was a quirky place. We had the garret with a patio on 4th floor. There is an elevator to 3rd floor and a steep stairs to the 4th. I wish I had known about the stairs. Breakfast in the room was very well prepared. We are on the patio in our sweaters and bathrobes. Great location at the Pont Neuf near most of the cultural sights

The room only had one free plug to charge our phones. Otherwise you had to unplug something. The plugs on one side of the room only stayed switched on when the lights were on so not ideal for charging your phone during the night. The air conditioning was right beside the bed so hard to keep it on at night without having it directly blowing air at you. The bathroom shower did not have a hook to hold the shower head so you had to hold the shower up while you showered. The bathroom door had holes so there was no real privacy. The room had two windows but could still hear noise from outside. The doors of the rooms slammed shut during the night which woke us up. The plumbing of the room next door was loud and woke me up. Overall it was standard. Staff were very friendly. Do not know what facilities the hotel provides despite being 4 star - no booklet in the room. For example laundry facilities, pool, gym etc.

Lovely central hotel overlooking the river. The rooms are quirky and fun with all the crazy artwork. Ours was black, white and yellow with art painted on the wall and ceiling. Room was rather small and compact, but clean. I loved having the use of a bath, but there was no overhead shower, just a hand held one. There was a shower screen, so a hook placed up high would have enabled a proper shower. Excellent restaurant down below hotel. Superb seafood. I would recommend this hotel for it’s quirky nature.

Don't let the quirky and arty décor fool you. It hasn't had a coat of paint or a carpet change in years and looks dilapidated and dirty. Housekeeping carts blocking narrow passageways most of the day and night. AC that doesn't work despite the attentions of the manager. A half-used tube of uncertain lubricant under the bed. Rotten fruit in the bowl at breakfast which is poorly presented and without broad choice.. A breakfast room one can stand up in only in the very center of the space. An over-rated restaurant - don't get the meal deal; there are much better restaurants in the neighbourhood. No window in the room unless you call a window that opens up into a service chute a window. Tiny room. There are much better choices of accommodation for much much less. The bare minimum in TV channels and not an English language news choice among them.

Hotel is right in the old section of Tolouse near the river, making sites easily accessible. I chose the single room which turned out to be clean and functional, but really tiny. Had window with view of brick wall cleverly painted to look like sunny rooftops. Staff was friendly but limited by the fact I don't speak French. However, the last day I lost my purse with passport, credit cards, money in it. Staff was superb in helping me figure out how to get it back. Young woman at desk phoned several people and then helped with train trip to Carcassonne where purse was. She was very, very nice and very, very helpful.

A wonderful surprise in Toulouse

We came to Toulouse after following the Tour de France and found this hotel through a newspaper article 48 hours in Toulouse. We could not be any happier of staying here. From the moment we arrived the staff was great, lucien at front desk was so friendly he upgraded our room and proceeded to tell us all about what to see in our short time in city.
From walking into buildings to look at ceilings to churches he was a great resource. He is very passionate about city and it showed,
The hotel is right on river by the bridge and what fun to look out each morning and evening as we got ready, plus there is an amazing jazz bar right across the street. Don’t miss it not great wine but the music awesome,
We did not have enough time here but will return as there is so much to do in this city.
And we will definitely book our time in this hotel.

The car park mentioned in the hotel description is not very easy to get to on arrival, and several hundred meters away. The front desk attendant had nearly no English, but we muddled through that. The towels in the room were large hand towels rather than proper towels. Nice room otherwise, with a good view of the river, and easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions.

Nice enough hotel but the a/c happened to be broken on the day we arrived and the temperatures in Toulouse was over 30 degrees. This led to an incredibly uncomfortable night. The room was very, very small and the bathroom was the same. For some reason they have a shower head in the bath but nowhere for it to hang on the wall either so you didn’t really get to have a shower in how you would expect.

Given the price we paid I would expect much, much more and I wouldn’t look to return to the hotel should we very visit Toulouse again.

Brilliant location on the Port Neuf

delightful quirky hotel with very comfortable room and good bed. The view outside of the river wonderful. The big windows opened wide, but also as double windows, it was very quiet when closed with the air con. Quality teas and espresso in room, and toiletries.
the staff were so polite, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic too. We ate in the Brassiere was spectacular, such delicious regional French food, beautifully prepared and served. We loved this hotel and will stay again.

Amazing place for a short break! Hotel is very central and easy to find, good connections to the airport. Very close to Carmes which we found to be a really nice area with restaurantes and coffee places/bares and to the Capitole. The hotel staff are lovely and do make an effort to make sure you are well and comfortable. Communication might be tricky if you only speak English, but you are in France so should make an effort to learn a few words at least.
The hotel rooms are decent size,clean, well decorated. Bed is comfortable and bedding is spotless.
We couldn’t have asked for more and are grateful for such a wonderful stay!

hotel staff at check in were less than helpful, took us 1 1/2 hours to get our vehicle parked off site as they have no onsite parking. Parking was in a very convoluted location and it was not explained to us how to get there. After searching for the location and not finding it the hotel staff printed off a map with streets with no names on and a highlighted trail to follow.

This is a very good small hotel, right next to the River Garonne and the iconic Pont Neuf. I stayed here many years ago and liked the place then and I was happy to say it has retained all its good points. In fact, it has been renovated since my last stay, which has improved it further. An ideal location for the city attractions with very friendly staff.

We were unable to chain or lock our door, which the hotel did not seem to appreciate was a concern to us. The decoration in the room was the ugliest we have ever seen : spray painted jeans stuck on a board, painted balloons and paint drips all over the walls. Only saving was a beautiful view of the river and bridge.

I would love to rate this hotel...

I would love to rate this hotel and recommend based on our experience...however, upon check-in we were told a movie would be shooting during our week stay and they have moved us to another hotel across the street. Hotel Garonne was very accommodating, very pleasant staff and gave us a parking pass for the Esquirol garage. The neighborhood is a happening place, beautiful bridge views and a close walk to great restaurants/shopping (& the Capitole).

Hotel Des Beaux Arts a sightseers hotel

We felt that this Hotel had a better location than the 5 star one down the road,Charming view over the river. We felt that although the rooms were small they were comfortable, bathing was a bit of a problem as in very small bath and less room to shower! We booked room only and went \"native\" for all meals Tolouse is steeped in local history so dont be fooled into thinking you can see all the sights in a couple of days. Be sure to read the price list before taking anything out of the room bar as everything is nearly triple price! October is probably the best time for Toulouse as you are almost dragged off the street by cafe and bar owners to eat and drink in their establishments The people are wonderfully tolerant of minimal french speakers and their english is spot on, we will go again and probably the same time of year.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, the people running the hotel were really helpful( the lady insisted on carry our heavy bags) and they were very both very jolly , we didnt have breakfast there
Our room was very small and not that comfortable but it did have a great view on to the river (which I asked for ) probably the other rooms are more spacious as we also booked very last minute , I would definitely stay there again but ask for a bigger room As overall its a great hotel and the staff / owners make it feel really nice to be there

L'hôtel est bien situé, au bord de la Garonne. Le Petit Dej est simple mais de qualité. Le personnel est agréable. Les chambres sont néanmoins très fatiguées: parquet gondolé avec l'eau de la salle de bain, tapisserie déchirée, vasque bouchée. Des travaux de rafraichissements seraient les bienvenus.
