Enjoyed our stay in this cute, quiet room, set back in the trees. The courtyard was a beautiful natural retreat. The only drawback to me was walking over to The Canoe to use the hot tubs, as it was a cold, rainy weekend. The fact that they have change rooms there is nice but the block's walk in pouring rain still stopped us

For reasonably priced, clean accommodation was excellent. While out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Banff, your room stay includes a free bus pass to explore Banff and beyond. We had dinner in the restaurant at the Canoe Hotel across the street. Was much more fairly priced that restaurants downtown, and the food and ambience was excellent.

This is clearly an older property but it’s been recently renovated and in excellent condition. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Check-in is in the hotel across the street, which is also where the hot tub is. They provide fresh coffee and a bus pass, since the hotel is at the far edge of town. We still walked but it’s a ways to downtown Banff. It has free parking. I’d stay here again.

Where we were given a bus pass for Banff which was very handy. Room was clean with a kettle, microwave and fridge. Only issue was the heating was so noisy, hot air vent in the ceiling and the air con unit. Kept waking me through the night. Good parking though and loved the location

This was a really cute little spot and was exactly what our family needed for our stay in Banff! The amenities are all in the hotel across the street, as advertised, so we didn’t really use them. They put together cute little coffee and tea satchels for us to take back to our rooms and the staff were really kind, thoughtful and accommodating. We’ll definitely stay again!

We love our room at the Dorothy Motel - clean, cheerful and welcoming. The beds were comfortable, the mini fridge and a microwave were very useful. We used Canoe Hotel roof top hot pools and sauna across the street - the view was awesome . All in all it was a great experience. We will definitely stay again. Thank you !

Check in was across the street which I didn't realize until after I booked. We arrived late at night so it was a bit of a hassle just because we were tired, otherwise it would have been fine. You get to use the amenities at the check in hotel, which is nice. The room itself was really clean and very cute. Most staff was very nice, just had one interaction with one staff member that was a little rude.

I like that heating system was independent and after hot pools I came back in hot and comfortable room, reception was super friendly and helpful in all my issues. Super great location right on Banff ave. Walk friendly to off the shops and restaurants and like a 15 min drive to the Banff Gondola which is a must visit. Staff was so nice made our bed everyday of our stay changed towels and always warm. The free coffee and tea is the best they even let us take a couple home. Sweetest receptionist and it’s 24/7 available for anything we need. Will definitely stay here again.

This hotel offers excellent value for the price. One of the best features was access to the rooftop hot tub and sauna at Canoe hotel right across the street — a relaxing way to unwind, especially with the mountain views.

The property was quiet and clean, which made for a comfortable stay. It’s within walking distance to town, and the complimentary bus tickets were a helpful added convenience.
The in-room coffee kit was a thoughtful touch, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with throughout.

Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for good value and a few nice extras.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Dorothy Motel in Banff! The rooms were super clean, modern, and cozy with beautiful mountain vibes. The bed was very comfortable and everything felt fresh and well maintained.

The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still close enough to downtown Banff. It was nice being slightly away from the busy center but still having easy access to everything.

One of the best parts was having access to the hot pools and sauna at the nearby partner property — it made the stay even more relaxing after a long day exploring the mountains.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Banff!

The room can use more of a clean. Found a dead fly on the window ledge and something dried up on the floor. The flooring is very interesting which makes it hard to spot the dirt. But the location/parking is convenient. The beds are comfortable so we had great sleep for the two nights we stayed. For the price we paid, it was a decent stay.

The Dorothy motel is fully renovated.Nice size of room,clean.I was just in shock with desinger choice of flooring it really didn't much with wallpaper and bathroom tiles.The heating element fan was really loud.We had to turned it off for the night.
Otherwise it was very quiet place we didn't hear trafic noise or neighbors. Overall I would recomend this motel for the value. It was a nice touch that you have an access to Canoes hotel pools.

Overall it was a decent hotel value for money. Unfortunately the floors were very cold and dirty though and no one came to make up our room for the second day when we stayed two nights. I did like that you can park right outside your door and nice the coffee, teas selection and even oat milk they offer at check in. Also I like that you can use the hot tub at the Canoe and Suites.
