Room was very small but nice amenities and stylish. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly, and breakfast was really good. The hotel is really nice and I enjoyed the hallways with alcoves—featuring nice framed black and white photography—that lit up as we descended the stairs. Bathroom was excellent.

The room with 2 beds was in the street floor and it was a bit loud, as well as having windows covered with “volets”. Otherwise, the room standard was the same as the one bed room I experienced a few days before. It was clean and had all you need, on a relatively quite road, nice salon for breakfast or just for a break.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The room was clean, bright, and spacious and we were incredibly comfortable in the space. We loved that we could fill our water bottles at a station downstairs. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was wonderful. We had an amazing time and I would definitely stay here again!

Marie was absolutely amazing! The room was quiet and I felt very safe as a woman traveling alone. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I highly recommend this little boutique hotel. Very close to the train. Lots of options for dining. Breakfast is available on site. Just wonderful!

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. The second we walked into our room I noticed hair all over the room and the bathroom - the hair was everywhere. Not only in the bathroom but it was also on the bed! And when we tried to go to sleep we removed the covers only to find more hair. We finally informed the receptionist who informed us their cleaning staff had gone home for the day. She provided us with new sheets.

Once we went back to our room and placed these sheets on the bed…. We noticed more hair on these new sheets.

It was evident by the dust, fingerprints, stains and hair everywhere that this hotel does not care about cleanliness. For this price please stay somewhere else.

We wanted to be close to the Gare de Lyon and this worked. Many dining choices in the area. Loved Le Train Bleu in the station and the creperie on the way there. Fifth floor room with beams was nice, but tight. Last room cleaned by housekeeper daily around 5pm.

The staff were very helpful. Our last gage was stored as we were early. The hotel is walking distance from gare du Lyon so very accessible to any site you want to see in Paris.
The room was very nice, small but nicely decorated. The bed was super comfortable. The bath room shower was great. Lots of hot water.

Really great location, near several metro stations, and 15 mins walking distance to bars in Le Marais. Also Notre Dame is pleasant 20 mins walk along the Seine. Beautiful room with luxurious bedding. It was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave. Shower is similarly luxurious.
Housekeeping is faultless and the room was kept immaculate.
Breakfast is wonderful. Fresh orange juice and pastries. Delicious coffee and fruits, yogurts and cooked meats and a delicious selection of French cheese.

The Hotel Riesner is a wonderful hotel for a trip to Paris. All of the staff we met were incredibly helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and well presented, with stylish decor. The fitness suite is a lovely additional amenity. The hotel is well located for visiting Le Marais and Notre-Dame on foot.

This hotel was not in the center of everyone Paris, but that is kind of why I liked it. On a quiet street it seems unassuming, but the hotel felt modern. The elevator is a tight squeeze for more than 2 people, but it’s not that busy of a hotel. We adored the air conditioning as we were in the middle of a heat wave! Breakfast was our favorite part- a very Parisian assortment of deliciousness. The one downside is that the walls are somewhat thin. This was only a problem for our last night, when a large group of women were apparently staying on our floor.

The entire staff of Hotel Reisner was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to help us. Selim,at the front desk, and Mona, who cleaned our room, were extraordinary. During his break, Selim directed us to the nearest metro station, and Mona showed us how to adjust our air-conditioning and then checked back with us 15 minutes later to ensure we were comfortable. A very pleasant stay indeed!

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at this hotel. They were very helpful when we needed to call a doctor for my 80 yrs old mother (minor health concern, thank goodness). They were all very pleasant and bilingual. The rooms are small but that's not unusual and we were quite comfortable. I would not hesitate to reccomend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris.

Attractive, comfortable bijou Paris hotel

We booked this hotel for its location - 5 minutes from the Lyon train station and Metro. We were very pleasantly surprised by it's attractive exterior & lobby, and welcoming staff. We found several restaurants nearby to choose from for dinner, and slept very comfortably in the cozy but well-appointed room. The shower was great, and the bathroom & bedroom were immaculate. Definitely would choose this hotel again!

The hotel is designed beautifully and the staff are nice. The only thing we noticed was that our room was very dusty. We stayed in a room with steep ceilings because of the roof and the floor under those areas was covered in dust.
Aside from that, the howl is in a convenient and quiet location with a good number of dining options.

Property is stylish and extremely clean. The bedding was very nice and if a good quality. Breakfast is plentiful. We saw a little mouse run out of the kitchen on our last morning very early before everyone else came down but hey it Paris and with food around it’s hard and it wasn’t like it was Remy from Ratatouille!

Rooms are way too small for 2 people even for 2 nights as was hot and claustrophobic and because it’s a busy neighbourhood albeit on a small side street opening the window made it noisy.

The room has a coffee machine placed on the side table next to the bed. It takes up all the space and doesn’t give you any room for a book, my glasses, glass of water, mobile phone. If you want to use the kettle, you have to move it to the floor as there isn’t a plug near where it’s placed on a tiny table under the TV. The tv only has BBC world service English speaking which again is a bit limiting.

This is our second year staying overnight before travelling south the following day. Both times we had a superior twin room. It is small but well organised with a kettle and a coffee machine. Beds are super comfortable and the shower is spacious and plenty powerful enough. Staff are friendly. The buffet style breakfast is of a good quality with plenty of choice. A brilliant stay for proximity to La Gare de Lyon. Plenary of nearby restaurants.

Perfect Place in Paris!

Hotel Riesner (pronounced REES-ner) was a very short walk from the Gare de Lyon train station which is super convenient if you want to take it from CDG when you arrive in Paris.
Charming hotel located on a quiet side-street, this hotel was the perfect place to stay for our visit. Tarek was very friendly and helpful at check-in and every staff member we encountered, including the dining room staff, was pleasant and polite.
Rooms are tastefully decorated and, while small, provide everything needed for a great experience. They even have a beautiful sauna and workout room that we utilized and we appreciated that they were open 24 hours.
I highly recommend adding the breakfast option to your reservation. The food options were fantastic and you could even fresh squeeze your own orange juice which we loved. We also felt that starting off the day with a great meal while making a game plan to see the sights was worth the price. Not sure what the reserved cost is, but we paid 15 Euro/pp which is less than any cafè in the area.
Neighborhood is very walkable and interesting and there’s even a laundromat a couple blocks away with a Creperie around the corner if you like to do your laundry as we did.
In summary, we loved our stay at the Riesner and would absolutely stay there again next time in Paris

Nicely refurbished hotel with a nice atmosphere and furnishings. Central location without being amid all the tourists and noise. Good transport links.

Rooms are tight but that's the nature of many old city centre buildings in Paris.

Housekeeping didn't replenish shower gel so we said it in the morning at reception. Gel was still empty when returning to the clean room that evening. When asked at reception for some the night shift attendant had a bit of an attitude about it.

Kettle and tea/coffee were unusable since there was no coffee, just sugar. I left tea/coffee open on the table for replenishment, but it was simply put back where it was with no coffee.

It does feel like you're just renting a room in the city since the communal areas of the hotel are almost non-existent. Simple lobby (or entrance all with a reception stand), no bar and only a couple of seats.

For a 4* hotel I think towels could have been better quality. Rose is quite a risky scent to have in shower gel since many ppl dislike it (e.g. partner).

Very clean other than underneath the bed, where there was a lot of dust and fluff.

Breakfast was not worth the €18. The space is too small and staff is not on the ball with replenishing milk in the coffee machine etc. I missed bacon to go with English breakfast. It's such a tight space that things like pre-sliced bread would be good. It avoids ppl waiting in line blocking the way.

We could hear the upstairs bedroom walking a lot.

Centrally located in Paris, under half hour from Eurostar station and about an hour from Heathrow airport. Major attractions and museum are within half hour away by subway. Under 12 minutes walk from both subway stations, there's also a street vendors that sells fresh fruits and cooked foods on Thursday and Saturday. Strongly recommend a French restaurant call Les Affranchis less 5 minutes away. Must try their duck confit, sea bass fillet, French onion soup and escargots.

Nice place in a good location. Rooms a tad small with no bathroom counter space or hooks but luckily I brought a portable hook. It’s a small inconvenience based on the other pluses. Bed was very comfortable with mattress topper. Linens were crisp and clean and the pillows were also top notch. This hotel was perfect for what I needed. I needed a transit point in Paris (was only in town less than 24 hours) and this was very conveniently located by Gare de Lyon. The rooms are compact but in very good condition and clean. What stood out most was the helpfulness of the front desk staff. Heloise was very attentive to helping me plan a couple hour walk thru the neighborhood - gave me all sorts of good ideas and tips, including detailed notes. When I sought a recommendation for dinner, she was one step ahead of me, printing out possibilities, giving me her own views, and then offering to make the reservation for me. (Plus, she was kind enough to suffer my poor French and at my request to not switch to English in response. Tarek, who I spoke with on other topics the next morning, was also very helpful. No one will confuse this with a luxury hotel but it was precisely what I needed.

We stayed here overnight before taking a noontime train to the South of France. Hotel Riesner offers easy access to the station. Staff was helpful. Our room was small but cleverly designed. Every square foot is used effectively. We skipped the 18 euro breakfast but it looked great! Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Great stay, I really enjoyed it. Fabulous interior design. I would have preferred to have been told there was a water machine available, I didn't find this out until day 4. The only other thing I found a little annoying was I didn't bring any body cream or conditioner because I thought this was provided, but it wasn't. There was hand wash, body wash and shampoo available in large wall mounted tubs, but not conditioner or body cream. The area for breakfast was a little tight, but I'm not sure how they could improve on this. The orange juicer was really noisy so breakfast wasn't exactly a relaxing experience, but these are really minor grumbles. Overall it was a fabulous boutique hotel and I would definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel is easy to walk from the train station. The hotel sign is not visible from the street, but just following Google Maps was enough to find it. The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel room was clean.
If you need to take an early train, the hotel is a good choice.
