Spend the extra $50 and go down the street to Wayfinder Hotel!

Honestly did not have a great stay, especially considering the price of the room. Overall the rooms were clean and beds were nice. The bathrooms are very small and you can barely move around in them. Fine for one night but would get annoyed if I had to stay any longer.
Hotel breakfast was very scarce with just yogurt and packaged bread.

Hotel staff was not very friendly upon check-in, but answered all my questions. The part that annoyed me the most was I received a knock on the door at 9am informing me that checkout was at 11am (which the unkind check in lady already informed me about.) If it were closer to checkout time, a reminder would have been warranted/appreciated, but it was a little early, and unexpected. This made the rest of the stay feel even more hostile/unwelcoming and we ended up checking out at 10am.

Very poor experience. Room was an advertised to have a bathtub which was the reason to book this as I had arranged several days of ski touring, and a soaking tub is great after a long day out in the cold. The tub unfortunately had no plug and as such was not usable. When pointing this out to the front desk I was told that non of the bathtubs had plugs as they were too difficult to replace. I requested a refund of the difference to a basic hotel in bishop which would have been around $70 per night (I stayed 4 nights and ahoys around $170 per night), yet the hotel charged the full amount (despite commenting to my review on google that they would want to resolve this, which they clearly did not). .... Expedia at least provided a $100 key point credit, but this is nowhere near the difference to a basic hotel that I would have booked if they had advertised properly that mo functioning bathtub was available in the rooms. It clearly is fraudulent if not illegal to advertise a bathtub when the bathtub is actually not functioning as a bathtub.

I chose this hotel for one night while enroute to Mammoth. I purposely went with one of the more expensive options in Bishop hoping for a nice experience. Check-in, absolutely no one can check in before 3pm. It’s hard to believe that all rooms are available at exactly 3pm. Then reception said that I could check in before 3, but there is a $25.

This is one the most uncomfortable hotel beds I’ve ever stayed in. You can feel all the springs and it creaks when turning over

The walls are paper thin and you can hear all noise and walking from rooms above. I wished that I had earplugs

I called numerous times while enroute to the hotel regarding possible early checkin. But the hotel kept disconnecting. There was no way to contact the hotel on this day. I informed the receptionist upon arrival and she said others are saying the same thing, she didn’t seem concerned

I was not impressed with this hotel for the price. Next time I’ll just book a cheaper option across the street and save money.

I've stayed at many hotels and this is not a 3 star hotel. It's basically a converted motel and good marketing to lure guests in. We stayed two nights and the cost was $440 in December. When I entered the room, it reeked of body odor similar to a gym locker room or a yoga gym. Upon informing the front desk, she hands me a can of febreeze to take care of it myself. As I entered the room, I found trash on the desk chair and remnants of a balloon on the AC. The AC was also super old where I couldn't adjust to the temperature to my liking. The treadmills also weren't working. I should have just spent a bit more and stayed next door.

The stay was good for the price. The room was OK - nothing over the top. It's what you get in price. My only opportunity for improvement is the breakfast. They only had very basic food such as breads, yogurt, coffee, and bananas. No hot food such as eggs, hotcakes, waffles, etc. Wayfinder Hotel (next door) does offer warm breakfast food. The hotel staff was really nice! The hotel is walking distance to great food areas to eat!

The check in staff was unfriendly. The shower curtain was broken. The HVAC system was so noisy that kept us awake every time it turns on. They advised us that there wouldn’t be any daily room service and if we needed we need to call. Not sure the price we paid is worth the stay.

Okay room. Very small, especially the bathroom which was super tiny. The shower was a disaster because the pull up to shift the water to the shower head was busted and the pipe was blasting water from the wall. The feel was “rustic” with very modern pricing. The breakfast was not worth the competition to get to the limited and very basic offerings. The pillows were either lumpy or too flat with no in between. The fan was not adjustable so it blasts the person in the bed closest. The paint job on the bathroom door appeared to have been done by a blind toddler. The sound proof rooms are not soundproof, especially if you get the room near the stairs with the slamming exit door. And you can hear everything in the busy parking lot through your window, even people talking on their car phones. Also, parking is cramped and not enough spaces near the hotel for the people at the hotel because patrons from the bowling alley use the spots as well. Location is good for walking to local establishments.

Checked in early the lady at the front said it would be $25 but got charged $45 when I asked they said something about charging tax for each night or something like that. It don’t make sense bc our room was already paid for through hotels.com so if I didn’t check in early would they not have charged me? Anyways there was a weird smell whatever they use in the laundry room wasn’t the best smell and the BED WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Though we got first roll seats to the charisma’s parade and the breakfast was good. Not to merino walking distance to pretty much everything. Might check out Wayfinder next time :)

Terrible stay. Stayed 2 nights and staff was incredibly rude when I complained about noise several times. Ice maker was broken several guests upset. My sink backed up etc. Did not sleep and had to pay almost $300 a night. Will not be staying here again.

I reserved an ADA room and it was terribly lacking. The room was at the far end of the building, not close to any services. I parked close to the room. The access door did not have an ADA door opener or any luggage carts so getting my wife and luggage into the room was extremely difficult. The room was very small with no wheelchair accessability except directly into the bathroom. The TV required an IT expert to make it work and the desk attendant could not figure it out and did not offer any guidance other than to try to figure it out myself. Overall. It was a bad experience.

Never again!!! Roaches in the bed. You’re literally better off sleeping in your car! I attached a photo of the roach on my pillow. I was given a 30% refund and placed in a new room which had hair in the sheets and a bug in the wall…what a joke! This clean freak will never stay at this property again!

I was very disappointed both with Expedia and the hotel itself. (Through Expedia)I asked for a first floor unit because of elderly people. I didnt want to leave things to chance so i called 4 hours before I arrived there to Cielo directly, the lobby number after first calling two other numbers, one which is AI and the other with is automated. Both were dead ends. I was finally able to speak to a person who assured me i had a first floor room and then promptly asked me to stay in the line to receive bonus \"points\". It was an aggressive sales lady who wouldn't take no for answer. Upon arrival, the girl at the desk assigned me a upper room. I explained the situation and she then began to try to convince me i didnt speak to anyone about this. I showed her the number and the 5 minute phone call. She then began stone walling me saying there was nothing she could do. I told her if i didnt have an upstairs room i would have to drive back 4 hours to get home. There was one room available and the person had not checked in but since they had booked through the hotel directly they were holding it (so much for the first come first serve comment) she did attempt to contact them to no avail twice. And she did also get me on the phone with the property owner who apologized and offered a refund but would not authorize her to give me the downstairs room. she said i was probably forwarded to a call center earlier but was unable to help me. Fail on all sides.

Hotel is fine with decent beds and rooms. We needed to be out the door at 7am and the breakfast starts at 0630. Unfortunately the staff were late and didn't have breakfast available before we finally left at 0650. There we about a dozen guests waiting and still no breakfast.

Had resvations for two different nights in a four day time frame.
Both rooms were very small. The bathroom in the first room was super small. My mattress wanted to slide off the fram whenever I sat down. Furniture was beat up and broken. Sat in the desk chair and about went over. Had to manually turn the tv on and off, along with manually controlling the volume. I felt like a kid again back in the 70's! The a/c blows right on the bed next to it. I froze while my Pops was hot. For the price and the condition of both rooms, will stay elsewhere next trip.

Hotel front desk attendance does not greet you. We ended up paying about $200/night for a
Hotel that does not have elevator or pool. We booked a suite, but it is not a suite, it is more like a studio with no kitchenette. Can’t watch TV in bed because the TV is faced away from bed. Small bathroom and tub. Only 1 person fit in the bathroom. Found ants in our 2nd floor room. They were all over the hotel desk. We tossed away $50 worth of the food we bought from Erik. We got sick and can’t stay in a hotel room being all sick. I called Expedia and they called front desk to let hotel know we will stay for 2 nights instead of 3. The next morning, front desk said they didn’t get any such message. I called Expedia again so they can sort it out. We were still sick and had to checkout on for 2 days instead of 3. The hotel took out our discount and put in additional $100 for penalty, charged us $59.64 Occupancy Tax and $20 Hotel service fee. We stayed at Cielo twice, but Never Again.

Hotel is great BUT please be aware there are trucks parked right outside your window with their engines on all night. So if you are sensitive to noice this may not be the right fit for you.

Not sure if that had somethimg to do with our watching the tv. We had to cancel our credit card because of it. So be aware.
Otherwise it was a good stay, very comfy bed

Horrible. Will not stay at this hotel again. No elevator, which they dont inform ahead of time. Dirty floor in bathroom, along with hair in sink and on toilet. Soap dispensers on counter filthy. Room not dusted. Was given 1 towel for reservation of 3, had to request more. Horrible AC which is 6 inches from bed, and does not cool room. Bait & Switch room- room did not look like pics online, our sheets had stains, comforters didnt even match. The furniture worn and smelled in room. You MUST make sure your door is latched or it comes open on its own. False advertisement on all platforms-they do not have a pool. The times we asked staff questions they seemed to have an \"oh well\" attitude. Their breakfast was nothing special. They also charge a $10 per night \"service\" fee, of which they dont inform you of, and who knows what that actually covers. Will not go back, nor recommend.

The woman working the front desk was polite and helpful, but never said anything like \"thank you\" for staying there,or for choosing Cielo. I still expect businesses to thank customers for their patronage.
The price of the hotel is high for what you get. Yes, the room was clean, but the A/C was a very old unit, the TV remote didn't work well, and the room and bathroom were very small for the two of us.
While I didn't choose the hotel for the free breakfast, the free breakfast was meager. A container of cereal, a few budget bread items, a few bananas, and a batch of peeled hard-boiled eggs looked like it came from 7-11. We went to breakfast at Schat's, which was just a few doors down, so not the worst experience. At least the hotel is near several of Bishop's fine dining establishments.
