Norwegian Rock and Roll

The hotel was clean and the service was good. The breakfast - included in the cost of stay - was tasty. There is a large parking lot adjacent to the hotel where you can park, though figuring out parking was initially a bit confusing. The hotel rooms either do not have air conditioning or their air conditioning was not working well. My room, which was in the sun, was too warm and was equipped with a rotating fan. My father's room, which was not in the sun, was quite pleasant and had no fan. We very much appreciated the museum's rock-and-roll themed decorations. Many Norwegian musicians started their career in the city of Namsos, where this museum is located, and the museum celebrates their work. When we stayed there, a tour bus from a 1970s rock band was parked near the entrance to the hotel - a bus belonging to the Norwegian progressive rock band \"Prudence.\" After we left the museum, we listened to that band's music while driving around Norway. Fun!

Ideal location right on the water. What a view! Room was just the right size with appropriate amenities. Staff were courteous and friendly. Parking was free and convenient. The breakfast was beyond amazing.!! I've never seen such a variety of food options at a hotel. Great stay!

Namsos Rock City Review

Decided to stay overnight after travelling through the area. The hotel itself is rather unique and has a nice entrance and bar area. Dining area also very tidy and has all the suitable antibac dispensers/gloves etc.

The room was clean and the design might not be to everyone’s taste, but we enjoyed the artwork and the music theme of the hotel.

Staff were pleasant and the site is located just a short walking distance from the town shopping centre, supermarkets, restaurants etc.

Great hotel if you’re in the area.

The breakfast buffet was very impressive - a great variety and lots of it.
Rooms were comfortable and clean.
It took some time to check in and check out, however, with one person at the desk.

though I was only there for only 1 night the service from the staff was excellent.
I only had time to check in then had to go to work and finished around 1.30 am and though ti was late we were still able to get a couple of drinks from the bar.
having stayed at a Scandic hotel before I knew that the breakfast would be really good and I wasn't disappointed.
the added bonus is that there is free parking outside the hotel and if thats full then there is not far to go to park in the evening.

Great hotel in beautiful location

The hotel was excellent - very modern with comfortable facilities, friendly staff and excellent service. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and lunch and the view of the sea from our bedroom and the breakfast room. We explored the town on foot from the hotel, which is very close to all amenities and walked up to the viewpoint which overlooks the town and the sea.

View was breathtaking

We had an amazing harbor view. Loved our stay in Namsos at the Scandic Rock Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much and we would highly recommend Scandic Rock to all our friends.

Dårlig service i kurs-/konferanseavd. Det tekniske med TV og overføringskabel fra PC fungerte ikke, og hjelp måtte hentes flere ganger før og under møtet. Frukt som ble avtalt inn på møterommet ble stående utenfor tross klare beskjeder om at det skulle leveres inne i møterommet.

Rom og fasiliteter er tipp topp. Det som trekker ned er frokosten. Hadde all maten som var satt frem vært frisk/fersk, hadde det vært full score. Slik var det dessverre ikke. Lunken kaffe, tørt bacon og pølser. Tomatene var begynt å rotne, frukten var tørr.

Helt grei parkering. Vi valgte å ikke ha rengjøring. Hadde ikke noe kontakt med personale utover inn- og utsjekk som var greit. Fikk de rom vi ønsket.
Minus er den store stolen som det ikke går ann å sitte i. Den andre er upolstrert. For lavt bord for kortspill etc.

Hadde supperier rom og det var kjøleskap, fint rom, var i 8etg og bare et lite vindu og åpne, var fryktelig varmt på rommet, var gulv vifte som gikk for fullt, så det var et pluss.
Var en to seter sofa som like gjerne kunne vært to stein biter, hard som py, og for myke senger

Til tross for hetebølge godt opphold.

Vi hadde et veldig hyggelig opphold på hotellet. Til tross for hetebølge og at det ikke var tradisjonell aircondition, klarte vi å sove godt – det hjalp at det var satt opp en vifte på rommet, selv om det ikke ble helt kaldt. Frokosten var bra med et godt utvalg, og vi setter stor pris på at hotellet er kjæledyrvennlig. Alt i alt et behagelig opphold, til tross for hetebølge

De buitenkant doet niet vermoeden dat het er van binnen zo aantrekkelijk en goed verzorgd uitziet. Door het hele hotel is het Rock thema doorgevoerd, niet over de top maar heel smaakvol. De kamer (307) is niet ruim maar groot genoeg en met een mooi uitzicht over de fjord, een prima bed en een schone, ruime badkamer, fijne douche. Waterkoker met mogelijkheid voor thee of instant koffie op de kamer. In de lobby kun je gratis koffie of thee halen. Ontbijt is uitstekend, diner keuze wat beperkt en aan de prijs maar smakelijk.

Oppholdet varte i 2 dager. Enkelt å bestille gjennom Hotels.com. Kanskje noe slitt, men ellers ok rom. Renholdet var godt. Iht. til hotellets prosedyrer kunne jeg bedt om bedre renhold, deriblant skifte av håndklær hver dag, men det var ikke behov for det.

Fortsatt forferdelig dårlig behandling når en spør om vegansk. Feilinfo, maten er ikke mettende nok, og den er stusselig. Måtte også forklare flere ganger hva vegansk er, til den ene kokken, og fikk trøffelmajones til maten, noe som ikke er vegansk.
