Lodge rooms are tired they have no Bedside lights, light pollution from outside lights visible in Rooms. Winter Duvet on bed in Summer. No water bottles in room. Estate was amazing and Breakfast at Bushbaby great. Golf course great.

I cane to play golf, Nd found the facilities to be excellent. Unfortunately the room was a let down. No bedside lights, so i was forced to get out of bed to turn the one and only light out. I asked for a light and was told these are only for the Bushbaby lodge (upgrade)!There is a TV with netflix, etc, but it relies on wifi, which is too far away so the movie buffers all the time making it hard to watch. I gave up.

Disgusting service from HOTELS.COM

This was the most unfortunate trip ever.
Hotels.com simply forgot to tell us that the period we booked was also the SUNSHINE GOLF TOUR DAYS !!!
We drove all the way to Swaziland to play golf and no golf was permitted.
Pathetic ....... why book at a golf resort if you can't play golf !!!
Will never use Hotels.com again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No wifi in lodge, pathetic service at restaurant.

The place is quiet, clean and awesome to spend some time in. However, that lodge room 8 did not have internet. That is a no no in today's world, especially for a foreigner travelling in a strange land. I ran out of airtime on my roaming phone, i could not even go online to load more airtime or data. It was a painful experience. I drove to the restaurant, to grab a drink and see if i could use their wifi. I passed a fella (worker) standing by the door, busy on his social media on the phone, no greeting at all. I walked up to the bar, where i stood ignored for over ten minutes. All in all the service sucked, sucked, sucked!!!!!! Needless to say, I ended up not ordering the drink at all, i was like i can't inject my money into such an establishment. The solution is simple, connect all your units to wifi, these wifi blackspots do not serve any purpose in this day and age, especially for us international guests.

Secondly, and i know this is not the establishment's fault, the main road from the airport to the establishment is painfully unmaintained, with rough patches, potholes and a million unnecessary and very huge speed humps. It makes the drive feel like a 100 kilometer drive, when it is actually less than thirty kilometres from Matsapa Airport.

A great golf experience.

The property has great potential. The golf course is excellent and the staff are very friendly and willing to please.
The golf course is fantastic with lots of antelope about.
The restaurant is ok but the menu on the website is incorrect.
We stayed in a lodge room which is away from the main building. The door to our patio was broken.
Wifi only in the restaurant.
Somehow they got my name wrong. My correct name is Rodney.

A restful stay.

The lodge is basic yet comfortable!
It is lovely for golf enthusiasts and many other activities can be arranged, althought we went to rest and have a quiet time. Chalets have the basics which is really what is needed. Our chalet faced the river and we enjoyed the night sounds of frogs and birds in the mornings. One could walk safely around the estate and having a restaurant in the estate allows you to just stay in if that's what appeals to you.
We had a wonderful restful 4 nights.
We made one trip to Manzini for some shopping.

A terrible experience never to be repeated

My sister and I booked Nkonyeni through Hotels.com for a 2 night stay coming from Johannesburg on 19-21 December. Our experience was poor from the time we arrived. The check-in staff member was very unhelpful bordering on disinterested. The website had advertised internet as available only to be told after inquiring that it was only available at reception and there were not vouchers for using it in the room. Our rooms were very far from reception and we were informed that golf carts could not drive us up because they were only available for golfers. Therefore each time we had to eat or use the internet we had to drive from our rooms to reception. At the restaurant, which is by the pool we were told we could not come in due to our poolside dress code - while this is not in itself an issue, these things are usually indicated on the website so that one can pack accordingly. This was not done. The website claimed that there was a gym on the premises which is the main reason we booked there, only to be told on arrival that there was no gym - blatant false advertising! We were told that we could not use the pool anytime before 5pm each day because it was reserved for spa guests - again not even hinted at on the website. There were no phones in the rooms to call reception. I have still not received my reimbursement for night 2 because we checked out after 1 night and the manager (Dudley) promised that Hotels.com would reimburse us within 48 hours. Totally unacceptable!

I had booked a chalet for a good R2200 for the weekend, you advertised that there’s premium Chanels, aircon, hairdryer, toiletries, and a coffee/tea kitchenette as well as a 3day course meal, to my suprise, I was taken up on a mountain to a chalet that has no electricity no door and non of the promised goodies advertised, your receptionist Nhlanhla has no manners including her superior, they were so racist and told us to leave their property when we told them that we wouldn’t sleep in a dark bush that we had no knowledge of, they kept insisting that we booked the bush chalets even after we showed them a confirmation email of the booking, police were involved as well as they were refusing to refund us. The environment is pleasant it’s the management that are giving the place a bad name. I will not recommend the place to anyone because there’s false advertising and scamming going on there.. same night 2 couples complained about the same issue and sadly they had no choice but to settle for rubbish.

The venue, location and amenities are top class, cleanliness of rooms was not checked before we booked in and has to be attended to. The rooms was adequate, spacious and fairly OK. Long distance from car park to chalets if you have a lot to unpack / upload when travelling as was the case with us. Description on website of Hotels.com differs greatly from actual rooms. This was discussed with management and they will be attending to it - we were offered dinner and complimentary wine to make up for this which was highly appreciated and credit to management. Restaurant service was slow and many items not available due to no 'stock' such as ice cream, certain food items on menu. Overall stay was good and to be recommended if management can sort out the small niggles and improve on restaurant service.

Nice villa with good layout, but time for upgrades

We stayed in Villa 58. This Villa is not so well equipped as other Villas we have stayed at in the past.
Bed sheets torn, we had to ask for beer glasses and refuse bin. The patio and lounge could do with more comfortable furniture.

Great place to stay! We stayed in the chalets the first night then moved to the luxury villa for two nights. The chalets are very comfortable. No real view of the river though. You can hear it. Maybe they can pave the road to the chalets. The villas are lovely and very comfortable. Very spacious for a family. The roads could use signs when driving through the resort, it gets confusing. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The mini golf on the property is very fun! I would recommend the resort!

We were disappointed with our accommodation at Nkonyeni. We stayed in one of the chalets and it wasn’t in good condition - it had an old thatch and was surrounded by thick bush which meant it wasn’t comfortable to sit on the balcony and lots of insects in our room. There was also a lot of building going on nearby. We enjoyed an evening at the club house, with great staff and decent food but future guests should be aware that it is situated very far from the rooms. Sadly it is not somewhere we would recommend or return to.

Very good golf course.\n

We went for the golf and it was excellent.
We stayed in a River Chalet room which was average. They are building new ones while we were there. The clubhouse/restaurant is very nice with a terrific view. The staff are very helpful.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at NkonyenI. The food was nice, security awesome. However our room had a dirty floor without tiles or carpet and the TV only plays CNN, we watched news for the whole 4 days., too bad. Their wifi is extremely poor, weak with almost no signal at all. Swimming pool is dirty
But overall we enjoyed the country experience,natural forest, wild game.

I had a fantastic stay at the lodge, not a single complaint. Atmosphere , location, service all fantastic. Only one comment is the lodge is 37 Kim's outside of Manzini and not 1.5 miles like it says on the Hotels.com site. The pin drop locator is incorrectly displayed. Definitely worth the drive if you can. Hotels.com must correct their site as this could reflect negatively on a great lodge experience.

Not much to do apart from golf. the quad bikes were not available. The rooms are in need of upgrade including the showers. Nothing luxury about those chalets. Parking was poor and the footpath to the chalets were dangerously unstable. No Wi-Fi in the rooms

It was our first visit to Swaziland with my husband and I must say it was worth it, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The views at the restaurant are breath-taking. Breakfast & Dinner was very good, staff of Nkonyeni very friendly. On our next trip to Swaziland Nkonyeni will definitely be our first priority, because of the taste of nature the location offers, also the Spar nearby makes it very convenient should you need anything

Beautiful location, poor service

The hotel/chalets are built within the residential golf estate of Nkonyeni. The estate is very well maintained with beautifully lush gardens. WiFi/Internet access is only available at the main reception and dining area which is a fair distance away from the lodging facilities.
The reception staff are not very friendly which does dampen the excitement of being there.
The Dining room staff and bar staff are friendly but they are quite slow with their service which does make it a poor experience. The staff worked a double shift on both days of my stay which explains the slow movement. Management must ensure their staff are not over worked in order to prevent poor experiences such as mine from happening in future.
The quality of food from the restaurant was very good. 7/10.

Lodge rooms very disappointing with TV not functioning and electrical fault in the other room so we were moved to the chalet, chalet rooms also disappointing with airconditioners in both rooms we used dripping non stop during the night and TV in one chalet not working. At least 10 items on the menu in the restaurant not available for order.

Avoid the chalets

we stayed here in 2014 in a villa which was excellent - this time in a bush chalet which is not in keeping with the rest of the resort,( which is very good).The chalets are poorly furnished - no bedside tables,only 2 mismatched beer glasses - none in the bathroom,and no wine glasses( this in a luxury hotel!) no fan,the temperature was in the upper 30's although the aircon was excellent.Also access to the chalets was very bad - parking quite a way and try wheeling a suitcase in dirt and rocks. the paths consisted of loose pavers laid on the bare ground and will probably result in some one tripping and injuring themselves. There are no sun loungers or easy chairs in the two pool areas and no sunshades provided - indeed when requested we were told that there were none provided or available.The restaurant and staff are excellent and the whole estate is very well kept but the hotel's claim to be a \"Luxury\" venue is spurious regarding the chalet accommodation. If we had wanted a bush camp experience we would have booked in a game reserve.

It was wrong information on google maps where the lodge was situated. It would be good to explain how to get there, which roads and how many km it is from Manzini. Outherwise the staff were exellent and very caring and servicemainded!
