What a great place at a great location. The rooms were super comfortable. My wife was sick when we arrived but rested and got better. The location is great for getting around, but also a great place to sit as well. It has a sort-of hostel feel but with all private rooms and very clean and organized. We both recommend Camino Verde B&B

Good location - walkable to downtown San Elena (souvenirs, restaurants, supermarkets), also close to Centro Monteverde (drivable). Right next to a local soda (convenient for local/easy meals).

Great room - lots of space in room/bathroom for family of 4. Beautiful view and was relatively clean. A/C and fan worked quick, no concerns.

Fantastic Staff - Jocelyn was very helpful before and during the trip! They were very kind and accommodating as well. The breakfast was fresh made + was delicious.

11/10 couldn’t recommend more. We’ve been on 5+ girl trips worldwide and this is the best place we’ve ever stayed. Not only were the rooms clean and comfortable, the service was TOP NOTCH. Diego and Jocelyn provided the best customer service we’ve had yet, starting from the moment we walked through the door. Breakfast was also delicious!! Would come back to Monteverde to stay here.

Everything was perfect. The employees were very helpful, the room was clean, and there was free coffee available all day. They also shared maps and great recommendations for the best places to visit during our trip.

The view is amazing — when we had nothing to do, we would just sit, look at the scenery, and enjoy a glass of wine. The location is also perfect, literally next to everything. There’s a convenience store, pizza place, and restaurants right next door, and parking is only about a 30-second walk away.

Since it’s a B&B, you can sometimes hear noise or other guests if they aren’t respectful with time and sound, but that’s not on the property itself.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent — gallo pinto and huevos were delicious.

The place was a charming bed and breakfast with a stunning view. Although we didn’t have a room with a balcony, we still had access to it, and the flowers and scenery from there were absolutely beautiful. The lounge area, with its cozy wood-burning fireplace, made the whole place feel warm and inviting. My daughter took every opportunity to curl up there with a book and relax between our excursions.

This was a fantastic experience as a first time traveler!

All of the staff were extremely helpful!! In particular, Jocelyn helped get us book a taxi at 6h50 in the morning! And they all provided excellent tips for what to do in Monteverde.

And the kitchen staff were so kind, and they are great cooks, breakfeast was incredible.

The view from our room was one of the best part of our trips!

I will definelty be coming back on my future trips to Monteverde.

Excellent breakfast included - full of flavor. Inviting, cozy, and comfortable common spaces which encouraged us to meet other travelers. Comfortable bed and room. Be mindful that any location in Monteverde is (obviously) on a mountain, in the cloud forest, and in-town. So, it's generally a windy and sometimes rainy area and there may be some street noise. Come with some light layers, a raincoat, good walking/hiking shoes and maybe earplugs if you're sensitive. Overall this is an excellent bed and breakfast. We highly recommend it!

The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond for their guests! During the drive from La Fortuna up and down winding roads, our daughter was sick twice (last time being 5 minutes from the hotel). The team were so caring and helpful in helping us get her and the car sorted before we even officially booked in. We opted for the laundry service which was well priced and super convenient. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom products were amazing. Very well positioned with some great recommended restaurants nearby. They even helped organise a last minute night tour with a local company, where we saw lots of amazing wildlife. The included breakfast was delicious and made to order every morning. Banana pancakes were a highlight as was the complimentary popcorn in the afternoon for the children. I would not hesitate to stay here again and will be recommending to everyone.

Located on the edge of the main town, greeting was warm and full of smiles which was followed by extensive information on the facilites and of many local excursions - we booked a local night walk which was perfectly managed.
Room was compact but roomy enough to relax with a small open balcony.
Breakfast was hearty with 4 or 5 options alongside unlimited beverages - local juices recommended.

Amazing staff and absolutely delicious breakfast!! Property was well maintained and welcoming, and the fireplace was lovely in the evening. The rooms are cozy, with spacious modern bathrooms, warm water, and good pressure, which was especially wonderful after a long day of activities. There is limited storage for clothing, just 2 small benches and a few hooks - fine for a solo traveler but could get a bit crowded with 2 people. Special thanks to Jocelyn and Diego for making excellent tour recommendations and coordinating everything, including transportation. They were incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect! Can't wait to return.

Camino Verde was such a cute property. It’s not your typical hotel- it feels very homey and welcoming as soon as you walk in. The eating area also doubles as a “living room” of sorts with people hanging out there in the afternoons and evenings enjoying the free coffee, tea, and popcorn. The staff are excellent as well. Diego was so kind and helpful and was always a smiling face ready to greet us. My kids (and my husband and I) voted this as our favorite stay in Costa Rica due to all the factors listed above.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two night stay at Camino Verde. The front desk desk Diego and Jocelyn were so welcoming and provided exceptional advice to any of our questions. The location was ideal with only 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. There is a soda next door where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. The room was clean and served our purpose. We did not have a room with a view but the views from the dining and sitting area are amazing. Breakfast was also hot to order and offered four different options. Totally recommend.

Hotel Camino Verde is a lovely small hotel with wonderful staff. While the room was on the smaller side, it was very comfortable and well appointed. They offer secure parking, and in the evenings there’s a cozy wood-burning stove, which is a nice touch. The location is also great, with just a short walk into town.

A few odd things: no food or drinks are allowed in the rooms. They do provide free coffee and tea all day, along with free popcorn in the afternoon, which is generous. However, guests are expected to wash their own cups and return them. We noticed some people only rinsed the cups, and others grabbed popcorn directly from the popper with unclean hands. While this isn’t the hotel’s fault, it was off-putting—we didn’t love the idea of drinking from a cup that may not have been properly washed. Personally, I’d rather pay for coffee knowing it’s served in a clean cup.

The staff is very friendly and helpful for things to do in the area. They can arrange tours for you. The room we had was small but there was a common area for 4 rooms right outside the door which was nice for relaxing. The breakfast is good with 4 hot menu choices: omelette, banana pancakes or Costa Rican breakfast. Fresh fruit and cereal. Coffee always available which was nice for my husbands coffee habit! Room was dark and quiet at night. The hotel is located right around the corner from the downtown so we could walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Safe parking for our car. Would definitely recommend this place!

Camino Verde is, to me, a true no-hassle \"Bed and Breakfast\" place where it gives you a nice and clean place to sleep and have a neat breakfast which is made for order by some friendly staff.

We are a family of five and the room we got has two clean beds plus a bunker bed, enough for us. The onsite kitchen is a nice surprise as it not only offers made-to-order breakfast but allows you to use it if you wish.

The downtown is walkable from the premise with a variety of good restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Staff, Josephine, was so welcoming and helpful. Like a host inviting you to their home, she showed us around and answered every question informatively and kindly. The bed was so very comfortable and the room perfectly clean and equipped for comfort. The place felt like home away from home, as we gathered in the evening around the fire, sharing mutual interest and taking recommendations on good places to eat. The parking is gated which helped us feel secure. We learned bed the design of the B&B and our favorite place was the deck o er looking the Monteverde mountains. We had no problems with getting our Monteverde Extremo shuttle pickup and return, a big reason we selected this location. Once we saw the road conditions up that mountain we were very glad of our choice. Upon returning midday following our extreme adventures, we went to the kitchen, heated in the microwave our pizza from the previous night, and enjoyed our relaxed lunch in the deck with a view. I am so glad we selected Camino Verde!

We were treated to a nice studio off-site which was incredible. A modern two room cabin style property with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything top modern and there was even an arcade, a record player, Alexa, two tvs, a Nintendo console and a very nice bathroom. It is cold in the mountains and while the two minisplit did not have a heating option, a free standing wood burning oven and blankets were provided. For breakfast there where several hot choices plus delicious yoghurts. The front desk staff walked us to our room and explained everything. Parking was safe being a rolling gate. I love this place.

We stayed in triple room 127 which I would not recommend to anyone. It is directly below the dining room, and people were walking through it, some talking loudly, on the way to their rooms up to 1:30 a.m. then at 6:00 a.m. more noise as they set up for breakfast or maybe guests walking through again on their way somewhere. So none of us had a good sleep. Other than that, it was a nice place, great breakfast, and all staff were very kind and helpful.
