The pools were very big and nice, but that is because there are no useable beaches any where close to here. The poolside restaurant is nice and affordable, however, it gets really busy, because it is the only reasonably priced option available. The Pico restaurant is the only other option, and it is severely over priced for what you get, and thus why it was never very busy. There are no other dining options within walking distance (within 1 mile). You need a car or other transportation to get anywhere. Since we were there only 3 days, no regular room cleaning, even though we could have requested it if needed. The room was recently renovated nicely, but walls and windows are paper thin, and had loud neighbors the first night (teenage kids)

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is amazing. Aunt Pua at the Voyager 47 Club is the sweetest hostess ever. Great views of the ocean and bay. We did have an issue with no hot water and they resolved the issue promptly. We’ll be staying here again. Thank you for all great service and memories

The only thing I truly liked about the Outrigger was the view from the room — it was beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else about the stay was disappointing. The patio outside the room had hair all over it, which made it feel like it hadn’t been properly cleaned. On top of that, there was construction happening directly below our room that started around 8 AM and woke us up. It completely ruined the relaxing atmosphere you expect when staying in Hawaii. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.

Room was adequate. Balcony furniture wasn’t clean, bathtub was a bit worn, didn’t have backup on facial tissues or enough coffee and tea. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. But the main issue was at the overpriced breakfast, my husband was told he could not have a refresh on his coffee without paying for another cup. Wanted to charge $10 a day to use a microwave. Parking our $100 per day rental car was $30 a day! Looks like Hawaii is unaffordable for most.

I prepaid for a King bed with oceanview for my honeymoon. I got a 2 full bed room and slept in separate beds during my stay. No refunds or upgrades. Received $100 deduction on hotel fees but still paid for hotel fees and $30 per day parking. Lise, a hostess at the restaurant, was discriminating and served others in front of me even though I made reservations. I arrived early and was told to wait 6 mins because that was the exact time- then she took people with no reservations. After I waited 10+ minutes, past my reservation time, I asked her if my table was ready (a table for 1). She looked at all the empty seats and said I'd have to wait a bit longer for the waiter- even though she literally took people with no reservations. I walked out because of her treatment.

Rooms were spacious and clean, the maids were friendly and very sweet. Arrived Sunday, room #1, was comfortable, quiet with a great view of the bay and ocean. Monday morning 9:30 am we returned to our room with unbearably loud jack hammer noises & construction right underneath our accommodation we complained & were moved to a handicapped room #2, on the 7th floor of another wing of the hotel over looking the parking lot & the entrance to the hotel with service truck noise etc. First morning in that room some cookies on the table were \"covered\" with ants, we reported and asked for another room. Room #3 first floor facing the kids pool, great view with constant all day pool noise, we love kids but not what we had in mind. We gave up. The water in the morning had to run for 45 minutes to get hot for a shower, we had to buy our own hand soap and shower soap, they supplied something in a tube for hands and the shower gel was slimy and hard to wash off. We will not be back.

Rooms weren't fully refurbished. You could tell they made some fixture replacements but a ton of sloppy paint jobs. Maids continually forgot to bring basic necessities like soap so we had to call to remind them. One night I went down and there was no staff reception at the counter. I had an uber eats delivery to drop off at what they \"claim\" is a 24 hour desk and instead there was a phone saying \"call for service\". I called and the women scolded me that she doesn't handle uber pick-ups and it's not her problem then angrily hung up on me. I called her back to explain the phone literally says \"call for help\" and all I wanted to know was if it was delivered to the desk which she responded \"not my problem\". Half the staff didn't feel they wanted to be there. I get work sucks, but it was depressing feeling. Loud drilling from all the construction. They charge $600 a night and didn't even offer anything ($10 credit, apology .NOTHING) for the inconvenience. At least other places will try to do something nice like \"free breakfast for one night\" as an apology. NOW the high notes. The pool is ABSOUTLEY beautiful and sunsets spectacular. We really enjoyed the luau and nearby manta ray tour and had an amazing view from our room. There were a few GOOD staff members who help (Faith, Spencer) who went out of their way to really try to make us feel welcome. There's a lot of potential, and I'm sure when the construction is done the place will be great. but they have a long way to go.

Problem started from the day we arrived. We were checked into room that did not have double bed occupancy which we requested. The room we checked in there was coockie crumbs (whoever was there before us ). Took picture and shared with hotel. Next day in between vacation and excursion I ended up coordinating and moving to different room. It felt like that I am at work and handling multiple issues at one time. New room had double bed but no ocean view instead right on top valley -and some construction. Recorded the noise and shared that as well with hotel. One of their hotel manger was very nice so leaving a two star. She gave us comp drink coupons along with 1 night refund and waived resort fee. Coupons added another problem, rather an insult. Every time my family or just kids took the coupon to hotels pool restaurant they assumed that they will not get tip and have kids wait for long time or not serve at all. We returned all the coupons back during check out to different manger Sally. She was very nice and listened to all what we have to say, looked at pictures and video recording, but seasoned manger. Verbally she agreed to all but did nothing. Expedia on the other hand did not do anything either which hotel blamed on Expedia of not sending the payment. Hotel was taking roughly $1k each day from my credit card, which they finallly refunded by calling my credit card company. Expedia in their response is addressing g me with some other guest name.. I have stopped replying

Food is overpriced and tasteless. Don’t eat there! The service was horrible. For dinner, it took a full hour for us to get to our seat, and there was only a few people working there so everything was really slow. We ordered our food but they forgot my order and I was super starving. My daughter’s stew was just pieces of meat, and barely had any actual stew. The breakfast buffet was 8 items; rice, bacon, potatoes, eggs, pastries and some really old fruit. They charge $35/person for this.

They boast a recent major renovation yet the entire property is majorly lacking everything they promote. No spa, no manta ray viewing deck, pretty tough to use tennis facilities with no rackets or balls to rent… activities director stated before we booked that we could get a courtesy car to the golf club across the street or it was easy to grab an Uber, yet the valet team was incredibly rude in explaining that wasn’t an option. Uber is non existent at this property. Buffet was a big miss - either low or out of everything in the mornings, same with half the menu at the pool bar in the afternoon. One on site restaurant at night with a basic menu. The market is run all day by one person who is also making coffees, Hawaiian time is taken to another level, then she was rude and snippy…! Ocean front room had a dozen boats out every night blasting music and people cheering to see manta rays.

We had an issue with the original room but after we reported noise, the staff (Sally) went above and beyond to resolve our issue. We were assigned to one of the best rooms at the resort. The V47 lounge benefits really met all our food needs. We had breakfast and evening snacks. Along with the $50 credit a day covered most food needs. Overall the best stay at Hawai’i!

While the pool area and the overall facilities and surrounding were satisfactory, we encountered significant issues with the dining service and housekeeping during our three-day stay. Specifically, the wait times for ordered food were excessively long, often exceeding an hour, unless we opted for the buffet option. Furthermore, the room and bed preparation was only done at check-in, and we had to make repeated calls for basic services such as fresh towels, trash removal, and other essential amenities. Unfortunately, most of our attempts to reach room service via phone resulted in going directly to voicemail, which added to the overall inconvenience of our stay.

Room was clean but the photos are misleading for oceanfront room vs oceanview room. I paid for a oceanfront room but was given a oceanview room. There was some construction work going on near one of the towers so I guess they were short of oceanfront room I believe. But they didn’t offer any compensation for the inconvenience. Tip: check if your room is in front of the swimming pool, it can be noisy.

Resort location was superb. Ocean view room was spectacular! Loved the adult only pool as well as the on property market which we frequented often. Also enjoyed the twice weekly farmers market, which had art and tasty food options. There's also a large grocery store nearby to get poke, pineapple, and other Hawaiian fare. We plan to visit again soon.

The addition of resort fees and parking fees once I got there left a really bad feeling. I was 2,400 miles from home and was stuck, the room was over $500 a night, if they wanted $600, they should be upfront with it. I will not go back, ever.

This stay was absolutely amazing. After a flight cancelation we returned to the resort for another 4 days and Veronica at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure we had our dream ocean front suite, 2 stunning decks (one facing the garden and the main facing the ocean)..
The resort was immaculate. The quality, cleanliness, amenities, & all staff.
We really appreciated the professionalism, friendliness and care from housekeeping, restaurants, lifeguards and the groundskeepers and security. All who were a delight and very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and attentive staff for dining in the morning, but sitting at the bar in the evening by the pool was hit and miss. Also rarely received poolside staff to take our drink or food order.
Hotel said updated, but the room was still below a 5 star hotel room. The updating was not enough, more like bandaid fixes. (They kept the popcorn ceilings, and paint was so thick on the closet doors ... they should have just replaced the closet doors.)
Also, we could hear through the walls, so sleep wasn't great.
