Very nice rooms and staff. Free coffee and tea all day. Beautiful views and incredible breakfast. Some rooms a little small and not as many amenities ( such as fridge). Overall would highly recommend!

Hotel located very close to city centre and in quiet area, adjacent to a large park and 5 min walk to Botanical gardens. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Limited car parking available. Modern glass lift to 4th floor.
Breakfast adequate with cooked and cold foods and plenty of coffee. Dinner very limited in choice.
Room 411 was in the attic with very small window but an electric fan was provided, upon arrival the room was stifling hot.

Lovely staff, facilities, room and location. Within site of the glorious church and walking distance to almost everything. The only thing that could be improved is access to charging for electric cars. There is a charger but it was blocked by cars that were not charging during my whole stay. Not a dealbreaker because of all the other advantages including gracious and helpful staff, but I mention as it would have been perfect to have access to the level 2 charger. Thank you for the very nice stay in your beautiful city!

The hotel was in the perfect location, the rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was 10/10. We brought our two dogs with us, and the staff made sure there were bowls and a bed in our room for them (but make sure to let them know in advance if you are bringing a pet). We will definitely be staying again!

Lovely staff, great location, thoughtful touches in the hotel like cosy seating areas with blankets. My room was perfect, and looked out onto the cathedral spires. I was very happy to see plant-based milk and butter at breakfast with a few other vegan additions too. Highly recommend and I’d definitely go back.

What’s beautiful spot for a stay in Uppsala. This hotel is located in historic area within a few minute walk to the cathedral, botanical gardens, museum and more! Waking around is absolutely gorgeous as if you are strolling through old tiny cobble stone streets. The hotel itself has gorgeous views to the cathedral which is so beautiful lo look in the day time and at night. Every morning hotel breakfast is served tight near the reception area in their cozy cafe. All the staff was very polite and more than helpful on many occasions. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to this beautiful historic town in Sweden.

Tiny Bathroom

Overall, our stay at Akademi Hotellet was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfasts nice and the staff was awesome. The only downside is the tiny bathrooms. But then it is a very old building and the conversion into a hotel was what they could make of it. Overall, enjoyed our stay as it was close to many of the most interesting attractions in Uppsala.

This is a wonderful, cozy, small hotel. It's located within walking distance of everything, and very reasonably priced. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Our rooms were facing the front street (vs the more scenic back cathedral view), but it was still very quiet. Also, the 2nd and 3rd floors have a couple of small lounge areas, and a cute tiny outdoor balcony facing the cathedral, in addition to a larger rear patio area. Even though it's a smaller hotel, there is an elevator for those who need it, and even a small fitness room with sauna. Main reception area has a lounge with several toilets as well. We thought it was charming to see the staff picking wildflowers outside for the tables. The staff does leave at 10pm and return early in the morning for breakfast, but that wasn't an issue for us at all. Breakfast buffet had some vegan options which I greatly appreciated. While the common areas are air conditioned, there isn't air conditioning in the rooms, but a fan is provided, and we were comfortable, as the temperature was mild in mid June. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Uppsala.

Had a great stay for a week long meeting being held at the old main academic building at the University of Uppsala. That's about a two minute walk from the hotel. My room was on the upper floor, clean and tidy, a bit small, but just slept there and not much else. Breakfast daily was excellent with fresh bread, and good coffee. Staff was super friendly.

This was a wonderful and romantic stay, my husband and I had an amazing time. The view of the church from our room was stunning, and the restaurant on the corner had the most amazing fish and chips I've ever had! The hotel staff were very nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

Quaint, but still has great amenities like a delicious breakfast spread, heated bathroom floors, and soft beads. In the summer the upper floors get hot (at least I who am used to air conditioning) but the staff was so nice and brought us two fans. It’s really easy to walk to so many great places, the Castle, the library, the cathedral, the botanical gardens and more) and the staff are great at giving directions and tips. We also were lucky enough to get a room with history, so ours being Queen Kristina. Overall would stay again in a heartbeat, thanks to any staff who are reading this!

Ett mysigt hotell som låg perfekt att ta sig dit med bil och sen gå ner på stan. Fräscht och fint både på rummet och resten av hotellet. Frukosten va ganska liten, men fanns bra valmöjligheter. Det enda minuset va att de inte fanns någon ac på rummet så fönstret stod öppet hela natten, tur de inte va sån värst trafik då.

Auf der Durchreise haben wir hier eine Nacht verbracht und waren begeistert. Das Hotel hat eine abgeschlossene, gebührenpflichtige Tiefgarage. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Supertrevligt hotell och personal! Snyggt badrum! Det som drar ner var den obefintliga belysningen på rummet. Mörk matta, mörka tapeter, mörkt tak (allt väldigt snyggt i dagsljus) men eftersom det knappt fanns någon belysning, inte ens vid det lilla skrivbordet eller en liten lampa på fönsterbrädan så blev det som en svart kolsäck när solen gick ner.

Det var nära till hissen från parkeringen det var toppen, men bättre markering av vart man ska parkera är att önska med tanke på vissa \"dagdröm-parkerare\" där små bilar blir otroligt stora om man ser på hur dom är parkerade, för övrigt är det \"tummen opp\".
