We had a pleasant stay at Svelte Hotel in Delhi. The location is excellent, right next to Select Citywalk Mall with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which made everything very convenient.

While the check-in experience was just okay — the staff member seemed preoccupied with his cellphone and wasn’t particularly helpful — the rest of our stay was very good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with good amenities for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet had an amazing variety and we really enjoyed it each morning — it was definitely a highlight of our stay.

Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay in South Delhi, and we would recommend it to others visiting the area.

Totally disappointed

Only stopped 1st night as we arrived mid evening.moved to another hotel the following morning . Svelte has NO BAR as advertised, NO food as advertised, limited international breakfast no public areas.
Hotel did not meet advertised standards, or that of the stars it claims to have.

Horrible property to stay in, toilets are flooding and very smelly, hotel manager was very rude and kept referring to fake hotel policies for guest visits. Not recommended for the money you pay at all.

We love the service and location of the hotel. The front staff are really attentive and accommodating to our needs/requests. Especially when we requested to change room. Special thanks to Jeet who look after our room everyday. It really make a big difference (we slept well the whole time of our stay). We really appreciate the effort.👏. Also, thank you to the restaurant staff. We enjoyed the masala tea and great service. The location of the hotel is so convenient. It's just a minute walk to Select City Mall.😊. Love it! Whenever we are India, we will definitely stay here again.

Housekeeping services was not good at all. Floor was really dirty, had to ask for slippers Bed sheets were not changed regularly, had to ask for hand towels and bath mat. No shower gel, instead shampoo was given

I stayed at this property 10 years before and by Western standard it easily qualified for a 4 start hotel then. Now, 10 years later, I booked the same hotel for a near 1 month stay. The place has declined over time tremendously. I booked a suite.
1. Ten Years ago, suites had cooking facilities. These have since been removed. So if your intention is to be able to cook your own food, then these suites are not for you.
2. Bathroom. One of the most important rooms in a hotel is the bathroom. The standards have tremendously dropped. When have a shower, water would not drain quickly, so your feet, at times up to ankle level, are immersed in slow draining water. I complained about this a few times, but nothing changed, notwithstanding their plumbers attending to the problem.
4. The toilet is badly set, making sitting on the toilet a near squat. Luckily, the Select Citywalk Mall next door has clean and nice toilets so where time allows, you are better using the public toilet in the Mall.
5. Cleaning of rooms. In my so many years of international travel, this was my lowest experience. The lady cleaner on the 3rd floor was grossly incompetent. The bathroom had a stench even after she had cleaned. At times she would take used towels but forget to replace them with fresh ones. On 2 occasions, she forgot to put toilet paper. We had to call house keeping to be helped. While always courteous, their service was very slow.
6. Carpet in Corridors - Very dirty on 3rd floor.

Because I arrived 5 hours before check-in time starts, this hotel charged a whole day extra or else I was asked to leave the property and come back after 5 hours!
My reservation date and check-in date were the same day and I was forced to pay twice for one night!

Terrible Experience!

The only thing good about my stay at Svelte was the location. I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed in a hotel. Where do I start - no towels, no drinking water in the room, no hair dryer and no iron, mind you I had booked the executive suite. The room was not clean as housekeeping had done a lazy job of cleaning the room from the people before my use. The coffee mugs had not been washed, just rinsed probably as their were stains in them that went when I washed them. The soap dish had been used as an ash tray, there was a small pool of urine next to the commode which I can only guess belonged to a child plus lots of cigarette ash around the toilet. I was booked on a non smoking floor but the corridor smelt of cigarettes and the fire alarm went off at 11pm because a guest on my floor was smoking in their room. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 1am with towels that were asked for by another room so apparently I was not the only room without towels. Room service for a cold drink took an hour even after giving them a reminder. The tv had no English entertainment or sports channels, they were all unavailable. I called the front desk and raised my complaints which weren’t looked into and I was too tired from hospital duty that I was doing for a relative to make a bigger fuss. I couldn’t wait to go to bed and leave in the morning. What a nightmare!

Okaish! Needs an upgrade!

Used to be a great property some 2-3 years ago, but the rooms have downgraded quite a bit since then. Don't expect a 4/5 star kind of property anymore.

Nice hotel close to shopping facilities

Good budget hotel for a short stay. It was clean, with comfy bad and large bathroom. At 8am we were woken up by constant banging sounds, it seems there is some refurbishment going on in the hotel.

I have never seen more worst front desk staff . Very incorporating. The only thing they want is money . A dumb manager who does not even know the meaning of hotel service. Greedy people . U get a wake up call every morning to clear your bills . Worst staff . They don't know what is service!

Just the location is really good!

Worst staff at reception! U get a wake up call in morning everyday to clear your bill for each day ! Toilet has no water pressure. Anyone wants to meet u after 11pm for that u have to pay a charge for extra person . I have always seen customer complaining or fighting at the reception for some issues ! Hotel Manager is very inexperience and good for nothing! He does not even know his job that what is hotel industry all about , all he says is that we r following hotel policy✅

Great location and rooms are very pleasant.

Very nice pool and gym. No bar or restaurant for evening meals but plenty near by. Slightly let down by the expensive wifi and airport shuttle - wifi should be free in this standard of hotel. Wouldn't suggest a long stay if (like most people) you require the internet.

I had booked the room for three adults, but it just had a double bed. You have to pay extra for the internet while they are charging you 350$ for two nights. But the worst thing is you have to order your water bottles as they are not refilled by the housekeeping.

the staffs are all very helpful , but the rooms are badly maintain , the location are perfect. but the room are dirty , toilet paper are horrible , towel are grey . the worse is there are not enough vent for smoking room to kill the odor. however the bed are quite comfortable. it could be good if they can keep the standard. the room service food are great
