Pool steps were in a poor state of repair. I had to go to reception for a pool towel there were none left at the pool. On one day there was a 10 km Grenada run, transportation was badly disrupted, there was no information in reception advising us of the disruption. No information about opening times of the restaurant, incidentally it is 20.00pm

Generally, the hotel was great, its just a little dated, there are landline links right next to the bed but if you want to use the plug next to the bed you have to unplug the lamp, the chairs although not all to important are not the most comfortable, the mattress was pretty good, its memory foam so you get loads of support, and great if your used to it, if not it can take some getting used to, breakfast was good plenty of options, and gets refreshed, pool area is clean with plenty of seating, its quite a busy hotel, for the week i was there, it held about 3 - 6 events so sometimes the loby is buisy but its a large hotel so nothing it cant handle

I picked this hotel because it has parking below the hotel for about 14 Euro. A great location with buses literally stop by the hotel door which is very convenient to go to city center and return to a quite hotel room.

Choice of 3 pools plus 1 inside.
Room was excellent although we were on top , ninth floor with only 2 lifts.

Overall good stay for two nights. Hotel a bit dated and aircon took a while to get going. Decent sized rooms. Pool was very cold. Blackout curtains in place. No noise from outside but inside doors a bit thin which meant you could hear other guests from the internal hallways and lift lobby. Close to Alhambra, a EUR 5 taxi. Friendly and helpful staff.

Good hotel near good road access so you avoid Granada traffic. Convenient bus into town and 5 euros for a taxi to the Alhambra. We used the on-site parking and didn’t use the car. It’s secure and affordable.
Good size room and bathroom. Thin carpet made it feel a little cheap.
Road noise isn’t an issue, we didn’t notice it.
Helpful hotel staff - answered queries, ordered taxi etc.
Good range of breakfast choices. We didn’t eat at the hotel, although others did. We used the restaurant next door ‘Albanta’ which had a wide choice of well cooked food and a lovely atmosphere.

The hotel was easily accessd by car and ample parking in the onsite garage. We left our car at the hotel and used taxis to get around, cheaper than paying for parking and more convenient.

Average location and poor onsite amenities

We picked this hotel due to it's easy access to Granada and the ski resort of Sierra Nevada (30 min drive away)
The location was good but the hotel has a few issues that families should consider.
The hotel is modern but the bar and restaurant were rarely open. During our 5 night stay, it was only open once for 1hr (valentines night). But for the rest of our stay it was never open which was frustrating as we had young kids. We ended up eating regularly at the local mall which has a large food court that catered for all tastes.
The breakfast buffet was fine, with a good variety. Although some of the hot dishes weren't exactly hot!
Our room was good, considering we were travelling with two young kids under 10.
Overall, the hotel was good for exploring the region and if you just needed somewhere to put your head down ahead of a busy days exploring and value easy access from transport links, especially if you have a hire car then this is a good choice and value for money. But if you want good onsite amenities such as a bar and restaurant and being able to explore the vicinity on foot then give this place a miss and go for something more central in Grenada.

VFM stay option in Granada close to Alhambra

The hotel is a bit outside the city centre however, city centre is just 25 minute walk from the hotel. The property is very close to Alhambra which is a big plus. They have good Arab baths in the hotel itself that relaxes one after day long walks around the city centre, Alhambra, Albaicin and Sacromonte. I personally prefer modern walkin shower enclosures over old school bath tubs and all their rooms are only with bath tubs. Beds are hard and comfy although pillows aren't. Staff at the hotel is excellent and overall a good VFM property that is close to key locations in Granada.

It took a long time for our rooms to be ready and when we finally got the keys, they didn’t work in the doors and had to go from the 6 th floor to ground floor TWICE to get key cards that worked!
The following morning at 9:30 the maid walked straight into our bedroom whilst we were in bed to clean it which was not acceptable. On checking out I asked if they had charged all extras (€23 cafeteria bill) to our room and the receptionist said yes. Two hours later I proceeded to receive phone calls on my Irish mobile telling me that I had left without paying a bill, which is not what had happened at all. We were treated poorly and everything was very disorganized and it was very disappointing.

Hotel was excellent-including breakfast and helpfulness of the staff.
We selected the hotel as it has parking ($/day) there is a bus stop outside that runs every 10-15 min to the historic area / downtown 1.40 euro per person but it stops about 11:30pm (which is early for Granada) - you can also transfer once within an hour or so to a second bus (helpful if going to the mirador San Nicolás for example) a cab back after that time for 3 was about 7 euro. All the cab drivers were super helpful also. The hotel is also convenient for the Alhambra-a cab up the hill was about 6 euro.

Good location for Alhambra plus very convenient if coming to Granada by coach as the SN1 local bus will take you from the Bus station to the Hotel for 1.4 Euro.
A couple of minor issues with the room - namely that the air conditioning due to it being too early in the year and it would take 24 hours to prime?
Staff very helpful with local advise + stored our cases until late in the afternoon while we sight seeing.

Room colder than Siberia ! Heating did not work !

The heating in the room only starts to work when you enter the room. In the normal circumstances, it takes some time to warn the room ( even though they call it central heating! ).

In my case, after checking in at around 22.00 or so, I entered my room to find it stony cold. After a quick freshening up, I went to the bar and returned back to the room at around 00.00 .On return, the room remained cold and freezing as I found it earlier.

Expecting that the room will slowly warm-up, I hit the bed but, with no relief. I was shaking and trembling, even being wrapped in blanket. I had to call the reception few times upon which they came to the room couple of times with no clear solution. Upon asking for another room, reluctantly they asked me to move to another room at around 3.00 am or so and again the new room was the same! I called the reception again few times and the only thing they could offer me was extra pair of blankets.

I slept whole night in a Siberian cold room and woke-up with headache and frozen nose. I must have managed to sleep only couple of hours.

I cant complain about the staff as they were very nice and humble however night staff lacked the ability and awareness of the seriousness of the situation i was in . No clear apology.

At check-out in the morning, I discussed the issue with reception. I also filled in the appropriate feed back form with a complaint. I am yet to receive any answer on the complain !

Amazing hotel that is very close to the Alhambra

This is a great hotel that is very to close to the alhambra (2 bus stops from the entrance). We had an early flight and arrived at 10 am to Granada. The staff was very accommodating and let us in the room around 1030 to catch a much needed break. Hotel room is very spacious even for a European hotel. The amenities are all there. We ordered room service and it was brought to our within 30 minutes. Excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

A good choice for Granada and the Alhambra. Very comfortable hotel, nice clean rooms and good breakfast. A frequent bus service stops outside which takes you into town for 1.40 euros. Parking is underground as seems to be common in Spain and the car park is large with no tight spaces to negotiate. Plenty of space. Our rate included breakfast and parking. Breakfast was good, although the scrambled eggs could have been warmer (always the way!). Overall though very happy wit our stay. This was a return trip to Granada and to this hotel.

I have stayed in Granada a few times and will comeback here. It iswell located off a highway andhas parking at 11 euros a day. The room was really nice and the staff helpful. Taxis to central Granada are about 8 euros and there is a busstop right by the hotel to the centre for about 3 euros return. Breakfat was ample. The dining room has some covered cabling on the floor that is easy to trip over.

Better for Business than old-world Charm

We stayed here as a family, great location if seeing the Alhambra and especially if you are driving, as parking is easy. We had two rooms with a balcony, and it was nice to have the option to be outdoors in the cool evenings, as this is a huge property with a lot of people around. The baths in the basement are nice, and we had an excellent massage here. But it is not a \"beautiful\" property, in fact it is quite ugly. But if you look past that, you have a decent bar and restaurant. No tea or coffee in the room (we had our own kettle with us). They want you to go the restaurant to buy coffee and you CANNOT TAKE IT OUT OF THE RESTAURANT. My mother just about flipped, but she stayed in there and drank it (the urge for espresso was just too strong). The bar sells great espresso once it opens, 10-11 am. The staff was friendly, but it's a quirky property, unlike anywhere else we stayed in Spain. It was the only Hotel where we had no duvet cover, and the rooms were very much appointed in 1980 decor, but well maintained.Would we stay here again? Probably not, but the price was very fair for the rooms that we had. It needs a face-lift and some TLC, but that wouldn't change the ugly exterior of the place. There was a conference there, and it really is a great \"business\" hotel, not somewhere you want to stay if you are seeking old-world charm. But we had plenty of that in Spain, so this worked out just fine. Research Granada prior to staying here, decide what kind of hotel you need.

Located on busy street but not to noisy. Clean and updated hotel. Very near to bus stop that takes you to city center in less than 10 minutes. Lightning in room is very poor and parking is 11 euro's per day. Restaurant next to hotel is okay.

Elegant Hotel in Isolated Granada

This is an elegant hotel on the far side of Granada and the Alhambra. There are not local services available without car, taxi, or cumbersome bus system/schedule. Hotel experience was outstanding including breakfast and fitness/spa facilities.
