Excellent place for any type of stay.

Thank you to Ms Kathy and Mr Goal for a wonderful stay, I needed a place with good wifi and quiet to work and this was the perfect place. Spotlessly clean and they moved me to a larger place as they had to do some work on the original apartment, thank you. ten to 15 minute walk along the river to Ben Tahn and downtown, lots of facilities available locally. I definitely recommend them for your stay. Communication with them was very good and check in was quick and efficient. Great views of the river and HCMC.

Perfect place for me and my family to stay. We were 6 of us. I was worried for late arrival check-in. But one of the staff was waiting for us for check-in at 11pm. He also showed around the apartment and provided information. Having washing machine and laundry liquid was a plus for us after traveling for a week. The apartment was clean and equipped with necessary stuff to make our stay better. Definitely recommended for family.

We did not get the River Gate apartment, A week before our stay, the owner contacted us and said they had overbooked and relocated us to Millennium Apartment which is about 200m further. The en-suite toilet drainage was so so bad of smell which we can’t use. The smell even spreading through the bedrooms with the doors closed. Its was an unpleasant stayed.

A serviced apartment, the property manager Goal was willing to drop everything and drive a few hours earlier to this district just to lock up my bags at 11am. Honest and trustworthy, he speaks Vietnamese and English fluently. Went above and beyond..

This apartment is furnished with a bed, couch, TV, iron & board, a washing machine, a kitchen with fridges, utensils and (Vietnamese) condiments, and a bathroom furnished with shampoo, conditioner, and towels. The size of a hotel room, it has a great view of the city from across the Saigon River.

Its location is recently developed and expats are common. The receptionists do speak English--but they won't be able to help you much, because the apartment is owned and managed by a third party (Goal). The security guards likely speak Vietnamese only but are friendly enough to help if asked. As of the time of this writing, there's a Kai Coffee House, a VinMart (convenience store), and a 7-11--enough to get you by, if you don't want to travel far for the night.

It is much more affordable than a comparable hotel and I likely will book this place again the next time I stay in Saigon--because as hard as I'm trying, I can't stay anything bad. It's a great place to stay.

Area was not very quiet, but I don't think anywhere in HCMC is quiet. The room was pretty basic. More of a stay at friends than hotel kind of place. Was clean though and being on the 16th floor meant it wasn't too noisy.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I was tempted to extend. I will definitely come back. I'm very happy I stayed here rather than a hotel. I consider this place my second home now.

Ms. Tran and her assistant made sure everything was excellent. I could not have asked for a more pleasant and lovely person to rent from, she is the best, her assistant also did an awesome job taking care of the day to day duties and went above and beyond anything I could have expected of him. The security and facilities staff were also excellent and nice.

The coffee shop downstairs is excellent and has good WIFI. The lobby WIFI is quite good as well. In addition to the coffee shop there are three stores, one of which is 7-11. The pool is seven stories up and is gorgeous with a view. Plenty of places to eat near there. The Apartment is perfect, you can cook, do laundry etc, it is fully contained with a decent size refigerator and freezer, microwave in addition to the stove top I hinted at above. Widescreen TV comes with it which is plenty large for this size room. There is at least one English movie channel if you speak English.

Kai Coffee downstairs is really nice and has very good everything. If you have never had Vietnamese Black Coffee, you are missing out. Even when made into Americano it was still potent and full of rich flavor. The water in the building seems plenty safe but you can always drink bottled water which is available everywhere. I drank plenty of smoothies from Kai Coffee.

Excellent experience there. The administrator, Goal, was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was in excellent condition, very clean and easy access to public transportation. The facilities and amenities (swimming pool, gym, BBQ area) were easily accesible and well maintained. Beautiful views of Saigon by night. Lots of convenience stores in the building with very friendly, English-speaking staff. I'd definitely go back there.

I first messaged the property owner via the Expedia website before I came. Then I become real to them, as this property is an apartment, not a hotel and there is no reception desk. The owner and her manager are really nice people and they want to get good reviews. I also found the security on the ground floor door really nice people too. I met them all. The manager and owner speak good English too.

The apartment is on the 12th floor and that means I got a fantastic view. It showed me a lot about the city. I really liked that, as I am an architect and like to see how places are laid out and how people live.

This apartment also has great internet access, on all sites. I think this is important as many people like to post on Facebook and so on. I do and it allows me to stay in touch with my friends around the world and show them my adventures overseas. I am 64 years old and have many friends.

The apartment is also new, and the whole block is new. It is very clean of course. And I liked the free bananas as a gift when I arrived. Oh yes, it has a pool on the 7th floor and when I was there, there were about ten people lounging around it, so the pool is used.

And one last thing, the manager was happy to arrange my taxi back to the airport for me. And on the ground floor of the complex, there are convenience stores and a nice Starbucks type coffee house.

When I return to Ho Chi Minh City I will be returning to here.

As a serviced apartment in a large block there's no reception so we had to call when arrived (so try to arrange this before if you don't have a local phone). The room is small but has everything you need, wifi, lovely pool in the buildin and the staff is the BEST, they really are so helpful. The area is very close to district 1 and Bui Vien walking street but note those are still about 15-20 mins walk along a busy road and a little rundown area, or you can take a short taxi

We thought we booked an apartment at a hotel. When we arrived we figured out that the apartments are privately owned, but they short term rent them out which has been illegal in HCMC since last year.
The first night we were relocating to a different apartment due to “aircondition not working” in the one we booked. The room was small, not that clean and und general unmaintained.
The next day we got “our” apartment, but it was not the one we booked. It was smaller and the quality was below what we expected.
We were not allowed to use the pool unless we wrote to our host, and then she would have to do something. In general not recommendable at all to stay at any of the apartments in the Rivergate Residence Apartments. Also based on what we heard from other turists.

Appartement qui correspondait à la description dans une très grande résidence sécurisée. Nous n'avions pas eu l'occasion d'aller voir la piscine.
L'appartement est beau et grand, les lits un peu durs, un petit rafraîchissement et le ménage pourrait être amélioré. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour chez Kathy. :-)

Some of the staff were incredibly nice while the others were not at all. The floor needed to be vacuumed and also the walls / ceilings when there were cobwebs and spiders. We contacted the hotel so the cleaners came straight and cleaned. The towel hanger was torn and loosened from the wall sometimes, the shower water was cold! The worst thing was that the pool was closed throughout our stay (3 days) for it to be cleaned but we did swim at least 1h before going to a new city. We booked this hotel because it has a pool so are very disappointed with this and that we did not even get any information that it would be closed.
