The hotel is close to old city Nurtingen. Cafes, restaurants, beer gardens are within 10 minutes of walking distance. A peaceful evening by the river could be had.

The hotel is 20 minutes from Stuttgart airport and is another 15 minutes to some old castles.

They have a little gym which no othere hotels here have. All great and a nice rooms. They did serve som nice food but I happened to have the worst dish I have ever eaten (and I can eat snails, sauerkraut and marmite!). It was Swiss Sausage, cheese, onion, gherkin all shredded into a very big cold heap of noodle-shape strips, in a pool of watery vinegar dressing. I was very hungry and I never leave food, but I came close here! Other than that, its a super hotel.

Best Western stands up to its name at clean and friendly service. Although most Best Western Hotels have rooms available with refrigerators and microwaves and allow the customer to control the heat and air conditioner with thermostats in the rooms, unfortunately this Best Western Hotel did not. However, this Best Western had the desired amenities (pool, sauna, spa, and restaurant in the hotel with stores, restaurants, and bahnhof 5-10 minute walking distance away).

If they could manage to keep the breakfast food 'hot' then this would be 5 star review. But to start the day with the breakfast always warm (at best) and has been for many years, its just a shame. Evening food is fantastic and all staff very friendly.

Several nights stay

This is our second stay at this hotel in last 12 months when visiting relatives. Do not take breakfast as quite expensive and there are several bakeries for smaller appetites withing 10 mins walking.
Only one issue this stay in that no towels were left for our late night return. This was quickly resolved with a call to reception.
Did not use pool/spa as latter only open at 5pm (till 9pm) when we were always out. Would have like to use in the morning.
Car parking extra 10E per night but plenty of room on lower floor near lift to our bedroom.
Air Con still hard to control when hot outside, and had to use min setting and endure noisy fan overnight in a quiet room

We selected Best Western am Schlossberg because one member of our party has mobility problems however I would stay there again regardless because of the lovely rooms, excellent breakfast (additional fee) and wonderful service. The location is ideal as well if you are hoping to catch the Christmas market or be near public transportation. The indoor pool and sauna was also a plus. We swam one morning and enjoyed that quite a bit.

The pictures suggest a business hotel in. Charming town.

Unfortunately, Nurtingen, although with attractive architecture in the old quarter seemed full of people drinking on benches. It wasn't a pleasant place to wander around at night.

The hotel had poor aircon, noisy echoing floors and walls and a bar with terrible service. 15 min wait to get a drink.

A good value alternative if you are flying from Stuttgart airport, but nothing else to recommend

We had some business throughout Baden Wurttemburg and this was a very good location from which to venture out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, perhaps a little dated, but the bed was good. The hotel has AC but it was very warm & humid weather making it a challenge to get comfortable. Would stay again.

Not for hot days, note the extra charges

Lots of trouble with A/C: first room banging noises from A/C unit in ceiling several times per hours, waking us up during the night. Got room changed after talking two times to front desk. A/C in second room only ran for an hour or so, then shut off. Called front desk and was told the room temperature is fine per his computer read-out (!), upon my insisting he enabled A/C again, worked for two hours, then no more. Gave up after that as we checked out the next day.

Hotel is standard business hotel, catering to guests on an expense account not minding to pay extra for parking and breakfast.

Area is very nice if you want to go outside the hotel for a quick and reasonable breakfast in the morning or a drink in the evening.

Really good business hotel. Stayed here while visiting an exhibition at Stuttgart Messe as it was reasonably priced and around 30 minutes away, allowing for traffic. Hotel is typical mid-range Best Western; room was clean and presentable although the bed wasn't the most comfortable and free wi-fi was slow. Of special note - the breakfast buffet selection was excellent - lots of choice and all good quality.

Location is pretty convenient, all required facilities are there. Staff is friendly, garage is present (relatively inexpensive, yet a bit small to my impression, though there always was a parking spot available). There is a swimming pool I was not able to test, pretty nice bar/restaurant with quite decent traditional German food and nice staff. Room is clean and spacious, coffee is bad but is nevertheless replenished without extra calling to frontdesk. Didn't request anything unusual, however, so don't know how proactive they are.

Das Hotel ist recht zentral gelegen, aber doch ziemlich ins Alter gekommen.
Das Zimmer war jetzt nicht besonders modern eingerichtet, die Dusche recht klein, aber es ging grad noch.
Besonders groß sollte man nicht sein.
Mein Zimmer lag unter dem Dach und es gab schrägen, die aber nicht wirklich gestört haben.
Ansonsten war es ruhig und sauber.
Das Frühstück war ausreichend und die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Zimmer reicht für zwei Übernachtungen - Sauber.
Frühstück hier sollte nochmals über den Service nach gedacht werden. Für die Menge der Frühstückenden ist das Buffet zu klein und es fehlte der schnelle nach Schub, auch schade das Schilder gibt aber das was drauf steht fehlt. Bei nach Frage gab es die Antwort Sie bekommen nur eine Begrenzte Menge geliefert. An beiden Tagen war die Frühstückszeit noch mind. Zwei Stunden. Die die später kommen müssen sehn was übrig ist. Schade.

Schönes Zimmer, leider direkt neben einer Baustelle (Wand an Wand), so das man um 7.30 Uhr schon mit Bohrer und Hammer geweckt wird. Leider war auch die Klimaanlage im Zimmer Defekt, so das man jedesmal zur Rezeption laufen musste, damit diese die Klimaanlage Manuel starteten. Das Frühstück gab es von 6.00 bis 9.30 Uhr, was für Urlauber doch ziemlich früh endet. Man würde dann um 9.45 Uhr gebeten den Frühstücksraum zu verlassen. Auf meine Beschwerde wurde mir geantwortet, das ist eben ein reines Business-Hotel und eher nicht für normale Urlauber.
Wir sind schon in mehreren Best Western Plus Hotels gewesen, aber solche Aussage und Service habe ich noch nicht erlebt.
Dieses Hotel wird nun von uns gemieden. Es gibt noch andere 4 Sterne Hotels in der Nähe.

Tolles Hotel.

Wir übernachteten im Best Western nach einem langen Tag im LEGO Land und nutzten die Location als Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch der Outlet Mallsnin Menzingen. Das Zimmer war gross, sauber und modern. Für einen Kurz-Aufenthalt können wir das Hotel sehr empfehlen. Parkmöglichkeit in House in der Tiefgarage gegen Gebühr möglich. Frühstücksbuffet solala, aber es hatte alles, kommt halt auf die Ansprüche an. Für Abendessen empfehlen wor das nahe gelegene und zu Fuss erreichbare Ristorante Valentino.

Leider ging in der Nacht zweimal ein Alarm los, wir haben in der Rezeption angerufen und gefragt was los ist, da uns der Alarm verunsichert hat. Haben darauf keine richtige Antwort erhalten \"Wir wissen bescheid, es ist nichts, tschüss\" und es wurde aufgelegt. Am nächsten Morgen erfuhren wir das es ein Feueralarm war, die Dame an der Rezeption konnte die Rückmeldung über die unfreundliche Vorgehensweise nicht annehmen. Machte uns vorwürfe warum wir anrufen haben und nicht sofort das Hotel verlassen haben. Das hat uns noch mehr verärgert, man hätte an dem Abend am Telefon auch sagen können, das wir die Zimmer verlassen sollen anstatt zu sagen so unfreundlich zu reagieren. Wir haben Verständnis darüber das so etwas passieren kann, aber Freundlichkeit und Informationen an die Gäste kostet nichts.

Wir konnten nach dem Alarm nicht sofort wieder schlafen, da wir leider auch zusätzlich schweiß gebadet aufgewacht sind, weil die Heizung im Zimmer sehr heiß eingestellt waren. Wir haben dann alle Fenster aufreissen müssen und die Heizung lief trotzdem auf weiter und weiter. Wir konnten auch leider in der Nacht niemanden mehr an der Rezeption telefonisch erreichen.

Als wir das mit der Heizung rückgemeldet haben, wollte die Dame mit uns diskutieren das die Heizung immer ausgeht wenn das Fenster aufsteht, anstatt die Rückmeldung anzunehmen und sich zu bedanken.
Schließlich ist die Umwelt heizen bei der aktuellen Klimasituation und den Heizkosten sicherlich nicht im Interesse des Hotels
