Beautiful location with one of the more stunning views for al fresco dining you'll ever experience. Restaurant does a great job. Staff is friendly. Rooms and hallways need a refresh. No AC rooms, but ceiling fan helped. No TVs in rooms or USB ports. A small, windowless TV lounge is available. Ice machine was leaking all over carpet on lower floor. Enjoyed my stay but the place is a little rough around the edges for the price.

L’hôtel est resté figé dans les années 1990.
Tapis partout ( incluant dans la salle de bain) avec taches. Demande à plusieurs reprises ; chaises pour balcon ; ait dû allé les chercher dans une chambre vide avec femme de ménage. Le restaurant est trop cher pour ce que c’est ( quinoa pas cuit ).

Réservation avec expédia semble les rendent perplexes ( pas accès aux bains )
Aucune embarcation prête. Chambre sans télévision. Village très loin ; aucune boutique pour achat de chasse moustique ou tylenol. Accès à la plage très difficile ! Quoi que très belle.
Nous avions l’impression d’être dans une colonie de vacances à un prix d’hôtel de luxe. Balcon pourri et toit qui coule. Un endroit qui manque clairement d’amour.
Point positif ;
La terrasse du bar est magnifique et le personnel est gentil.

The hotel is in it to make money, and they keep certain things concealed until you agree to buy. Beware, i got a resort fee of $19/ person per night (frais de vilegiature) on my credit card 3 weeks after i stayed, and this was after i asked for a printed receipt upon checkout. I will not be returning

Shower for the indoor pool is broken and only has very hot water. Carpets in main hallways are worn down and sometimes not fully glued down. The included 15% gratuity on restaurant and bar items seems to be taxed too.

The hotel is understaffed resulting in poor service - and common areas as well as the rooms are outdated and in desperate need of modernization. The lobby could be great , but why is the fireplace not working? Same at the spa , why was the fire pit area not functioning/ in use? The entire experience is so underwhelming that we would not consider returning- unless there is a change in management and vision for the better.

Great view and amazing location. However, the food is really average and pricy for what it is . The pool really needs an uplift and to have access to the spa pools (which are nicer), they asked you to pay a daily spa fee 40$+. The rooms do not have A/C. The bellboy(sir) and the gentleman for the water activities are amazing but the rest of the staff needs some training on customer service.

Ce n’est PAS optimal pour les familles.
Les photos des magnifiques piscines extérieurs sont en fait 14ans et+ (le spa) donc pas de piscine extérieur familiale. Chose à savoir avant.

Pour aller à la plage, des tonnes d’escaliers en piètre état et non éclairées le soir.

+ la plage est super, propre, claire, chaude et de supers embarcations :)
*avant de descendre assure toi d’avoir tout ton stock,Apporte un anti mouches noirs c’est super intense.

Pour manger y’a juste le resto assez cher et peu accueillant c’est pas mal la seule manière de manger à un endroit cute!

On s’est trouvé un mini endroit mais c’était rempli de clous rouillés au sol on a des photos, c’était ridicules et dangeureux.

On s’est fait réveiller à 7h par des gars de construction, on a filmé tellement le bruit était intense.

La piscine intérieur est belle mais ferme à 20h et les vitres comme sur les photos sont tellement abimés qu’on voit pas vrmt la superbe vue.

Y’a pas réellement d’arcade, une table de pool et 2 vieilles machines.

Ne réserve pas si tu n’est pas certain d’avoir un balcon sinon très ordinaire.

Je le conseil aux couple pour le spa incroyable !

Les vtt et trottinettes étaient brisés

J’aurais aimé après tout ça au moin un service à l’écoute et qui cherche une solution pour nous, le gérant me traitait presque de menteuse ayant eu un trouble avec ma réservation, on voyage toujours à 5 et là c’était écrit seul, il n’est jamais venu nous voir ou juste s’excuser pour le cumulatif.

Gorgeous hotel. Would stay again, but I’d happily pay more for a room with view, it’s so beautiful. Lots of bugs in spring, bring appropriate clothes and spray if you want to go hiking especially. Food is good but expensive. Good coffee. Free kayak, sup, etc to go on the stunning lake. Nice trails, microbrasserie nearby. Shops (supermarket) 10 min drive
Not all rooms have airco. They let us switch rooms during heatwave, which was extremely nice and appreciated! Merci!!

The surrounding of this property are stunning, they have a lake view and plenty of trails, lots of wildlife etc. Our room was a good size, but it was very dusty and not updated. Food was fine, but expensive and the cafeteria like restaurant was very loud, especially with kids and large groups eating.

En entrant dans l'hôtel, en pleine été, 25 degrés celcius, au milieu du lobby il y avais un feu allumé et de la fumée qui nous étouffe??? Chambres sales en tapis tâché malpropres (même du tapis dans la salle de bain). Restaurant extrêmement trop cher pour la qualité plus que ordinaire. Dernière fois, ne vaut pas le déplacement. Toiture de l'hotel tombe en ruine, gouttières pendantes, moisissures au plafond des toilettes du lobby.

Not recommended, it charged me extra $50 coz my boy is 15yrs. But when i booked on expedia, i already send my kids age clearly which didnt say any extra charge.
This hitel there is no AC in the room, the day we stay there is 38 degree feels like 45,,,at night its hard to sleep so humid and no circulation in the room. The old fun made big noise which bothering our sleeping.

Beautiful view, a lot of activities, everyone is extremely nice and helpful.
The rooms are very \"authentic\" No AC, and only a small window. our room was on the second floor it got warm and felt a little stuffy. The restaurant was good but not great but the terrasse offered a breathtaking view on the lake. The beach is nice and has a lot of kayaks and other water activity equipment.
When we got there they had a lot of rain. A lot of black flies. it's Nature in Quebec. Also there are the SPA that are small but really nice. Overall we loved the experience.

We stayed for two nights at hotel sacocomie with our two young children (2 and 5) and absolutely loved it. What an incredible location for a hotel! Spa was amazing and activities available were great, with free kayak, paddle boarding and canoeing. Staff very friendly and food ok, if a little pricey. Would highly recommend this as a place to get away from the world and enjoy some nature and silence!

Loved our stay!! Beautiful grounds, so isolated. Although our room had no AC and was outdated, we quickly forgot about that once we enjoyed the grounds. Absolutely stunning views. Beautiful pathways and stairs lead you to the beach area with activities included (kayak, canoe, SUP) and the beach has soft sand and amazing clear water, you can walk out on soft sand for many meters. We also enjoyed a few short hikes on beautiful trails. There is so much to do here. We also enjoyed the sunset on the terrace at the bar. We ate at the hotel 1 of the 2 nights. The food was great but pricy. We will definitely be back perhaps during winter to enjoy other aspects of the property such as the spa and the snowshoeing.

I will say that the site is quite beautiful. Unfortunately, our stay was during a heat wave and the hotel does not have air conditioning in the common areas or in the rooms (only suites have air conditioning and tvs; regular rooms do not). I found the meals a little pricey for what we had and the fact that the restaurant did not have any AC as well made it difficult to enjoy. The one thing that did upset me was the breakfast at $32 per person for eggs and pre-cooked bacon... That is unacceptable. My suggestion to anyone who wishes to stay there during the summer is to get a suite.

Magnificent outstanding wood built resort in the middle of an out of this world beautiful scenery ! The hotel gave us an upgraded utmost luxurious huge suite with panoramic view and large balcony over Sacacomy lake. The scenery is absolutely stunning ! Overall, the hotel was clean and the service was friendly. The room we had was big. It is important to note that if you suffer from allergies or such, most of the hotel is covered with carpeted floors. We could see stained spots, including in our room.

The food menus are greatly composed but quite expensive, especially if you look into the bistro one. The dinner was the highlight, despite my lamb being way too hard for a shank. Everything else was delicious.

Now unto our down sides of our weekend getaway, the spa. No fireplace was lit whatsoever out of the approximately four that the spa has. The rest areas were too cold to be perfectly comfortable. The bathrobe and towel hangers were not protected in case of rain. The steam sauna was closed, leaving us with two dry ones, two hot baths and a cold one. Flavored water and fruits were only offered to those getting massages or other services which I must say, were not available a week in advance. The spa looked empty early in the afternoon, leaving us to think they underbooked their staff. The installations needs some love to revamp the experience which hasn't changed since the first time I went three years ago. No upgrades, no value added.

The only problems are these: 40 watt bulbs in all lamps in the rooms make everything seem dim and a little dingy. Charging a ridiculous price for a pair of crummy flip flops for the spa is downright cheap on the part of the hotel. That was not classy at all.

A great place to get away from the city!

Had a lovely 3-night stay at Hotel Sacacomie with my spouse! This place was recommended to us by a friend who is from this area of Quebec. The hotel is perched on a hilltop overlooking Lake Sacacomie, and it has a rustic, cabin-in-the-woods feel. We bought a package that included spa access, breakfast (full breakfast, buffet-syle) and dinner (4-course with soup, appetizer, entree, dessert). The room was bright and clean. This hotel does NOT have TVs or air conditioning in the rooms. This was fine for us because the whole point of staying here is to be surrounded by nature. However, there is free wi-fi and it works well. There was a local heat wave during our stay (95-deg F). We just kept the sliding door to the balcony open (there is a bug screen) and the ceiling fan running on high the whole time and it was relatively comfortable. If you cannot survive the heat without air conditioning, that is something to keep in mind if you stay here. The spa is fabulous, including indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a cold pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor fire pit. There is a regular indoor pool that is accessible to all hotel guests, including children, but kids are not allowed in the spa. The hotel also has access to a private beach, accessed via a 10-minute walk via elevated walkways and stairs that take you through the forest and down the hillside. It could be difficult for the elderly or small children. They have kayaks, paddleboats, and canoes that you can borrow for free.

Couples Mini-Vacation by the water

The hotel is beautiful and the location on top of the mountain is spectacular.
However, rooms do not have air conditioning or a TV (not all that important), but should be indicated on amenities.
The access to the 2 outdoor hot tubs are NOT included in your stay...they charge $40 PP/Per day...this should be mentioned.
Also spa and pools close at 6:00 PM which I find a little early especially in the summer.
Also access to the beach, which is beautiful, should be mentioned that you need to walk down and of course back up 148 steps...doable if you have no health conditions. The fact that Kayak, Pedalo and Canoes are free is a great bonus.
Breakfast buffet was delicious with great variety.
I just think for the price of the hotel, the spas should be included.

Really nice place to go for a weekend.

Really nice place to go for a weekend. Clean, all staff was nice. Food was delicious and well presented. SPA is nice and view from the main pool is amazing. Overall, it was a really pleasent stay and we might come back for another family weekend there. I would recommand that place to my friends.

Better than I expected

It was better than I expected for food . The only disapointemnent was that we had ask for a room with 2 double beds and we had to settle with a room with one double bed and a single bed.

Extraordinary surprise

I read some good some bad about Sacacomie Hotel.I booked my party(2 adults,2 teens)to try Wild Nature in a remote place, but with some fear. Now I’ve done it : Fabulous! I've spent hundreds of nights in hotels, from basic too way more sophisticated. I'm not specially demanding but not easily impressed. But this time... Wow ! Our wonderful room had breathtaking view over lake and hotel. Large room, great bedding, suite for my kids with extra bed, sofa, TV,... Everything was in great conditions. VERY clean. Housekeeping was efficient and discreet. Nice people at front desk. Beautiful hotel all made of wood and stone with nice fire places. Location is perfect for activities in Nature. We were there in February and did snow rackets walks, by ourselves (free) and with guide, Skidoo ride (fantastic), dogsleds ride (even better). Everything was fantastic (despite of cold : -20°C if you're lucky !). One thing to improve : Restaurant is good and with really good service. But too expensive considering the quantity of food served. You will not have enough after one day of activities outside except if you go through their 4 course meal (~100 dollars per person). So if you plan to stay in the premises, think about a full board plan as the closest restaurant (village) is 15 km away. So, in short, a great experience in a wonderful place. Pricey activities but definitely worth the value.
