The Fortress or Rawla in local Marwari language is nestled in the heart of the Aravali Hills in the spiritually significant village of Narlai. In the 17th Century this unique wilderness jungle location was selected by H.

H. Maharaja Umaid Singhji as the perfect spot for his Royal hunting lodge.

At the turn of the 20th Century Maharajdhiraj Sir Ajit Singhji gracefully accepted the Rawla as a gift from his elder brother. The Aravali Hills cover a vast area of Rajasthan with numerous nature reserves within their unique bio diverse ecosystems.

A short trek from the Rawla brings you into the jungle wilderness where flora and fauna flourish. Dotted with some 300 temples and names after Lord Brahma's son Naradaji Narlai offers 1 temple for every 25 village residents!
