Is this really a 4* hotel? Our room was really run down, the furniture was dated and badly worn. Pretty dreadful.

The redeeming features being location and indoor pool.

We didn't have breakfast as at £25 a night that is a absolute rip off. Instead we ate at a beach side cafe for less than 10€.

Whilst the reception area was good, as was the food, the room itself needs some TLC. There were holes and water stains on the bathroom ceiling, the paintwork at the bottom of the wooden frame around the entrance of the shower was peeling and a fair chunk missing, in addition to which the addition of a glass door into the bathroom was poorly finished compared to what must previously been there.

Overall for the price I paid not bad but not up to the 4* grading the hotel suggests that it is.

We had a room at the back of the hotel so view not good looking onto apartments I suppose our choice not to upgrade to seaview.We booked for New Years Eve and wasnt aware of a private gala party in the hotel the bar in the hotel closed at 7pm on New Years eve what about the other guests staying !! We went to get our own drinks to bring back not good for a hotel of this standing nothing else open around the hotel disapointing.

The hotel is right on the sea front and directly on to the promenade which takes you to the beaches.
The room was clean and a good size.We has all the facilities which we needed.Our room looked to the rear of the hotel so no direct beach view.
The facilities in the hotel were good with a restaurant and separate bistro and bar.
An out door pool and sunbathing facilities.
This is a 4star hotel and is nice

Aguilas hotel in Murcia

Only time we have ever been to the same hotel 4 times. Says it all really.
Spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Excellent food service. Nice sitting areas. Staff are endlessly gracious and helpful.
Nice sea front walkways and a huge beach which is never busy.

We were very impressed by all the staff couldn't do enough for us, we went there with friends to celebrate Moira's birthday.
We had a few problems the air conditioning wasn't working so it was 27° in our room and very hot in our friends room also the jacuzzi bath didn't work. Some of the furniture needs tidying up. The big problem for us was the boat yard next door sanding a boat for painting was very noisy other than that we had a great time.

Aguilas hotel near beach

Our third stay at this wonderful hotel. Next to the beach and beach walks. Very comfortable and immaculately clean. Rooms very spacious. In quite an agricultural area but near so many lovely towns and cities. Aguilas is a ten minute drive away and has lots of nice bars and restaurants plus a lovely harbour. If you want to eat in, there is a lovely restaurant and terrace overlooking the sea. The best thing actually about this hotel is the delightful staff.

Spent a single night travelling and visiting the Geode. Handy underground car park. Staff very friendly and excellent, very modern rooms. It has a lovely terrace with fantastic views of the marina and beach. Breakfast is great with both hot English type offerings as well as continental selection. Have already booked another stay here which says it all.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Senator Águilas hotel. Lunch at the terrace bar was excellent and reasonably priced. There were plenty of sunbeds available and the pool as lovely. The area around the hotel is quiet, there’s an Italian restaurant nearby and a convenience store for drinks and snacks. The walk to the other end of the promenade took about 25 minutes but was a plenty stroll with lots of restaurants and bars around. Would definitely go back.

The buffet breakfast was poor the food was cold and not of fresh quality ie. cheap orange juice, not good machine coffee. Likewise the buffet dinner was also not hot and not fresh. Had been standing for ages.
Indoor pool was not warm enough. Lack of parking facilities. Internet was intermittent and kept failing. Did not deserve 4 stars.

Aguilas hotel in Murcia

Our second year at this hotel. Probably the cleanest hotel in the world!
Very comfortable and spacious rooms.
Equally spacious public areas both inside and outside with lots of room.
All the food is of a very good standard and prices are very reasonable.
Aguilas is a 10 minute drive away and there is plenty of flat walking.
The area itself is typical southern semi desert but there are plenty of interesting places to drive to on a daily basis. A car is really essential.
Finally, the staff, all the staff, are really first class.

We’ve stayed here a few times now and really like the location of the hotel. This time check-in was very slow with the receptionist leaving us to deal with someone else or talking on the phone - very irritating. The hotel is very clean….in fact, our room smelled strongly of disinfectant which wasn’t pleasant. The staff are always polite and helpful. Food in the restaurant is plentiful and good quality. We would stay again….these were unusual annoyances compared you the usual standard

Lovely Aguilas resort and hotel

At one end of Aguilas Playa, we were delighted with every aspect of this hotel during a 4 day October break. Immaculately clean, lovely staff, large rooms and suites.
Lovely terraces overlooking and very near to the beach. Beach/beachfront walks to Aguilas itself. Aguilas was a pleasant resort with a lovely town square.
The breakfast at the hotel was first class as were the other meals we had. On street parking was available but not sure what it would be like in high season. The hotel has its own underground parking if required.
There is a modest sized outdoor and indoor pool and a spa on the top floor if that’s your thing.
Lots to drive out to see within an hour or so.
Generally highly recommended.

It’s simply not a 4 Star hotel. The room was nice and the WiFi food but the general feel of the place is a little
Tired. The gym was awful - extremely old and broken equipment and lots of old unsafe weights. It’s all needs clearing out - compared to the next hotel I stayed at (also 4 Star) they were worlds apart. The pool opens and shuts at strange times too. The location is excellent however and the beach clean and nearby. Breakfast was nice enough but the egg and omelette station was unmanned. Parking was easy enough in the side streets. The spa costs £25 so I didn’t bother - the hotel I went to after had a fantastic spa priced at €9. I think this place has a lot to do in comparison to its competition.

Very nice hotel but it could have been better considering it was a 4 star hotel?! The previous 3 star hotel was far better finished and furnished and the breakfast slightly better. The pool was nice but was being cleaned, the beach needed the seaweed raked up. We didn't have dinner but the main town wasn't very nice along the front, but in the town it was slightly better and for food.

Our stay was very good , there was a wedding in the hotel in the afternoon so it was quite noisy but everyone was having fun !! Staff very friendly and helpful , food very good , I was surprised that there was no wi fi in the rooms , I tried to use skype in the wi fi area but it was very noisy and could not hear my family , maybe they could look at this for the future !!

We really enjoyed our stay. A couple of disappointments - the swimming pool closed between 2 and 4 in the afternoon which seemed the prime time. The other point was that we would have thought that a hotel like this should have wifi available in the bedrooms. It was only available in the lobby area which at times was really inconvenient. These were only two small points otherwise we were very pleased with our choice of hotel.

We checked into this hotel excited about the four star ammenities after staying in a two star hotel elsewhere; we were extremely disappointed. We had been traveling all day, and checked in around four, lunch was finished and dinner had not yet opened; however, the bar that is supposed to serve food continuously was also not serving! We finally convinced the bartender to scrape together some ham, cheese and bread (it caused a stir with the other guests). Later, we came to find out that the dining room that is supposed to start service at eight WILL NOT be open tonight AND the restaurant recommendation in town that the front desk gave us was closed! The following morning, the breakfast and lunch buffets weren't open. Perhaps we should consider ourselves lucky, because the breakfast buffet, when finally available, was uninspired, and the dinner buffet was a study in flavorless food. The terrible food situation aside, this hotel simply does not give four star service. We stayed during off season, but four stars are kept all year round. We simple can't recommend this hotel.

Hotel was excellent apart from the fact that both pools were closed for maintenance until March according to the staff.Apparently they had notified all booking agents, but Expedia failed to tell me when booking.I booked a spa hotel as I suffer from osteoarthritis and swimming alleviates some of the discomforts as does a spa.The spa facilities were excellent as were the staff.my only concern is that although it is an international hotel most of the information is in Spanish which is not very helpful and most of the staff do not speak much English.
I have notified Expedia of my complaint about the pools being closed and I am still waiting for some sort of recon pence ideally a refund as I was not informed at the time of booking even though I spoke to an agent on the phone to make my booking.When I notified Expedia they tried to put the blame on the hotel and pass the buck ,but it was Expedia that I booked with and not the hotel .Expedia is to blame and should carry the can for the imposition that I had.I would recommend hiring a car as the bus only run on the hour and it is rather a long walk to get to town and a lot of businesses were not open because it was low season in Spain

Quality modern hotel on the outskirts of town

Visited Nov13. Big modern hotel, excellent patio areas overlooking beach and marina. Restaurant has a very good choice of food and its worth taking the food options as there is little choice in alternative restaurants out of season without going into town (a car trip for most people). Rooms do not have balcony and are in a modern minimalist style. did not try the spa or other activities that were available.

A disappointment

We stayed at this hotel two years ago on a tour of Spain and it was very good which is why we returned this year.Unfortunately the standards in the Hotel have dropped ,here's a list of problems - air conditioning not working (fault reported but no response),mould all around bath/tile sealing,very unsightly,unbelievably bad service in the bars and resturant (15 minute wait to get a beer!),resturant had @ 20 local police IN UNIFORM taking dinner each evening,it was like a canteen not a 4 star resturant!!,the local school having swimming lessons in the pool (@ 20 noisy children!!).I asked for an upper level room and was given a !st floor room,I queried this and was told the hotel was full so nothing could be done,this was not true as there were very few people around (unless they stayed in their room all the time!).This hotel is charging too much,I would not stay there again and would not recommend it unless you are very patient and tolerant!!

Nice and comfortable hotel but very busy at the weekend

The hotel room was very comfortable but was a bit noisy due to a pipe being laid beside the hotel. The hotel is in a very good situation as it is at the front in Aguilas. The food was good and reasonably priced but the dining room is very busy at weekends. If you want to eat in the restaurant at weekends I suggest that you go to the restaurant.early. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I will be returning in the near future.

Ikkunastamme näkyi kaunis maisema rannalle. Uima-allas ulkona oli pieni ja sisäaltaan huone oli täynnä höyryä. Emme käyneet uimassa.
Henkilökunta oli kyllä mukavaa, mutta pyytäessämme virkaikijaa soittamaan meille taksin, hän aluksi kieltäytyi. Soitti kyllä sitten, kun emme Suomen liittymillämme onnistuneet soittamaan.
Huoneemme oli siisti.
Hotellista on matkaa kaupungin keskustaan 2 km. Ilmeisesti julkista liikennettä ei ole.

La habitación 2 habitaciones muy grande, con 3 baños completos y puerta en cada dormitorio, muy práctico.
La limpieza, muy buen servicio y muy amables.

Lo negativo
Bastante ruido del aire acondicionado y de un \" zumbido \" las 24 horas del día, bastante molesto.
En el comedor hay varias cositas que no nos gustaron.
una terraza enorme que está vacía pero no se puede utilizar para cenar o desayunar de buffet.
Pides una Cocacola y solo hay Pepsi, cuando te la cobran a un precio muy alto.
En el buffet una hora antes del cierre, apagan la plancha y empieza a faltar platos de comida y a recoger bandejas.

Por algunos detalles intuimos que el confort del cliente no es el punto más prioritario para el hotel

El hotel estaba bien en general. No me gustó que en régimen de media pensión te obliguen a que sea desayuno y cena. He estado en muchos otros hoteles en régimen de media pensión y te dejan escoger cena o almuerzo, pero no te obligan a que sea solo cena.
La limpieza era buena. La comodidad de las camas deficiente, necesita un cambio de colchones y almohadas.
La variedad del buffet en el desayuno excelente, pero en la cena la variedad era escasa.

Muy bien ubicado, con playas a muy pocos metros. Habitación muy luminosa muy amplia y luminosa con vistas al mar y Castillo. Garaje escaso ( no se permite reservar) pero en Club náutico ( enfrente) se puede dejar coche por 10€ día.

La habitación estaba sucia y con falta de mantenimiento.
Pero lo peor de todo el buffet de la cena, era tan escaso y falta de calidad que pese a haberlo pagado nos fuimos a cenar a un restaurante
