The place is great. 2 great bedrooms. The oool is nice and the underground gated paring - a rare find in such amazing location. All this gets 5 out of 5.
Yet - checkout at 10 am - the earliest I have ever seen ( platinum in all apps so travel a lot ).
And second - it was Christmas Eve - so no one was from the stuff but a fri k resident was knocking on the doors from 3 am till 7 am and we couldn’t take a sleep. Not the hotels fault. But did damage our experience.

I would say if they had a better flex on checkout I would give a 5

The picture on the booking sight was not the same as the apartment we were staying in. Totally different apartment.
After we arrived at the Eco Beach Resort about 6pm, we looked our keys by accident in the room. We rang the property after hours number and we were told we had to wait till 7pm for the security guy to come and open the room for us and that he is on site. When we rang at 7.30pm we were told that the security guy is offside and we going to be charge $80 call up fee. Two different stories and I can't believe we were charge for it!!!!!

PROS:
Free, locked car park for guests.
About 15 mins walk to centre of town (shops, meals, etc)
Has an outdoor pool and spa.
Large king size bed.
Friendly staff.
Economical.

CONS:
More noise than other places due to the layout of the complex and closeness of other apartments.
You have to pay for top ups of hotel sundries (soaps, etc) that are normally provided as part of the nightly fee.
You need to dispose of your own rubbish on departure or be charged a fee for not doing this.
You can be charged a fee for not leaving the room clean, but it's not clear exactly what the expected standard is.
There is not always a staff member on site.
Some rooms have only a microwave for cooking.

SUMMARY: This is a great choice if you are looking for a cheaper venue for short stays, or if you are going to be spending a lot of time out and about during your trip to Byron Bay, if you don't mind a walk to shops and eateries, and noise isn't a major dealbreaker for you.

Relaxing lounge with comfortable furnishings. Open dining opening onto courtyard with outdoor table and chairs . Access to pool and BBQ areas.
Great spa which we tried on arrival.
Unfortunately next day pool was being renovated so we couldn't use but that was ok we walked to the beach and swam there. Easy flat walk to town so you can leave car parked at property as parking in Byron gets busy.

Checkin was easy. Our room wasn't the best. The bathroom look really tired. We were on the ground floor so didn't feel comfortable sitting on our balcony too close to pedestrian pathway and street. Pool much smaller than pictures. Location was good. Didn't like that we had to pay for our washing and extra towels. Parking was convenient - although not secure - gate was never locked.

We have stayed in many apartments and was really disappointed to discover if your stay is less than 8 days, you will be charged for fresh Linen, Towels, Face washer etc .There is no Hot plate /oven. You have to remove your food wastage etc before departure. Very ordinary set up.
Also, I never received the above requirements during the booking phase. Only a notice on the apartment wall.

Loved the place! The check-in process was very easy and the room was very clean and cosy! Lovely little resort. not far from the city life of Byron.
The front staff were very efficient , friendly and really helpful. Room was clean and great size.
Everything perfect just two little things.
The pool area very small and compact,
i was at the back of the resort and i dont think people know how to close a gate without letting it slam all day.
Maybe a softclose device would help.

It is a small resort but we liked the resort’s location as it is close to the center of the town and Main beach. The apartment we had was one bedroom and it had all the necessary amenities. The bedroom faces the busy road but you don’t hear the traffic and the living room faces inside of the resort where there is a small pool and a spa. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all and we had back pain every day. It definitely needs a new mattress. The shower head was broken and the water was going into all directions and the floor was always very wet. Otherwise no complaints. It was very clean and comfortable.

Lost my full payment due to a NSW coronavirus outbreak which meant we had to cancel our trip.

Disappointing that when you try to do the right thing and support the tourism business yet your plans change when you follow government health directions, i ended up losing money.

Would not book again as I would’ve wanted the team would have a little more flexibility and understanding during tough times for all.

We had a great 4 night stay at Eco Beach Resort. The facilities are top quality - comfiest king bed, clean and spacious studio room, great spa, convenient and secure car park. The location is excellent and we gladly left the car at the resort and walked into Byron city centre for food and activities. Excellent communication and easy check-in and out. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone and will be looking to stay here again on our trip back to Byron.

Our stay at Eco Beach Resort was fantastic. I stayed for four nights with a friend and we couldn't be happier with the value for money. The resort was well kept, the location was conveniently located just a 5min walk from the main area in Byron and Cheryl the hotel manager made our late check in and early checkout after hours as smooth as possible.
I would definitely stay again!

The BEST place to stay in Byron

Eco Beach resort is simply the BEST place to stay in Byron! The rooms are immaculate, the property is very well maintained and the pool is perfect! The property is close to the beach and everything you need in town is only a short walk from the Resort. I highly recommend Eco Beach resort!
