Convenient location above the train station and within the city. Lines for checking in were long and didn’t move quickly, which was frustrating given the late check-in time. Not enough staff at breakfast meant long waits just to check in with the hostess. Nothing particularly unique or beautiful about this hotel other than its location. Wouldn’t stay again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. It is centrally located amongst some of the best local attractions in Montreal. Walking to Center Bell was a breeze. The staff was all very courteous and our room was clean, spacious and modern. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Montreal to stay here.

We came into town using VIA Rail. The convenience of walking from Gare Centrale right into the Hotel was amazing! All of the amenities we accessed were terrific, from the gym/pool and hot tub to the lobby bar.

Rooms weren't a large as they thought they would be. Shower/bathroom very small. Long time to get on elevators. Kids partying next door until 6 am. Security came up twice, but they didn't stop. Security should have stayed/followed up and made sure they stopped or needed to leave. Zero sleep that night.

We checked in let so I couldn't go to the restaurant with my son because he was under age. The pool closed at 8 pm so we couldn't use that either. We ordered room service which was extremely expensive and the meal was terrible.

I used to work at the QE Hotel in the 1970's.
I was on duty in the Medical Dept/ clinic when Pierre Laporte was found dead in the trunk of the car. These were the days of the October Crisis\".
I just spent 3 days in Montreal as a guest. Lovely quit rooms, excellent housekeeping and food (Roselyn Restaurant.
The hotel is as glamorous and at the same time peaceful in spite of the busywork.

From check in to check out, (3 nights) the hotel staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Especially during check in, and baggage handling. My partner and I were treated as if we were regulars or frequent visitors.

The King Suite was spotless, housekeeping timely and diligent. Room service was prompt and, of course, helpful.

I feel what separates perfectly fine lodging establishments from the very best is attention to overall details no matter how minor and treat the lodgers as special guests. The Fairmont Royal York one of the best, hands down.

There were nice “amenities” like a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfy. The view was pretty from our room. There was a long wait at check-in as there was one staff member at the desks. The room was fine, had it been a cheaper hotel. Instead it’s a small room with the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel. No fan in the bathroom - would have appreciated that. It was quiet and overall a good stay.

Everything was great except the process of recharging my EV. While other hotels provide recharging free of charge, the QE required payment. Now, the cost was not a big issue, more of a frustration, but this required me to go to a separate garage and plug in yhe car myself. I suppose you could call this \"1st world problems,\" but I'm certainly going to choose a hotel that takes care of this logistics for me, thus removing one thing that I need to think about during my stay. Having said all of this, I would like to say that the valet staff were friendly and helpful. The problem is with the policy.

The room was nice but it was on the small side considering the cost. The bathroom was very small and you couldn't open the shower door if someone was standing in front of the sink. We could not find the switch for the bathroom fan and so the bathroom smelled funny when we first entered the room. There was also a strange small when we entered the room that was distinct from the hallway. I think it must have been the cleaning staff using air freshener to mask an odor.. the bed was comfortable and the view was great. We went to the nacarat bar and had a nice evening there. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed the ambience of the hotel, beautiful lobby, it was really cold and icy while we were there but you can walk in underground city for quite a distance even to the start of old Montreal which was really good due to bad weather. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful, we would stay again.

Worse experience ever .i have spend lots of money for two nights and it feel like like I am in motel not in five star ..they have given us worse room n very small when we reach then after complain they said they can arrange another one and it took 2 hrs n more waiting our all planned got wasted we don’t go anywhere because we need to change get fresh then we have planing for Christmas Eve after many calls they finally gave another room and even the service in the room was worse too no water no robes the day we were leaving morning we called room service to give us robes as we need to use pool in the hotel and they took 1 hour to gave us robes after many calls they said they drop in the closet we were in the room no one came and after many calls they came and told bymstaje they drop in wrong room ,,,we were regretted stay this Time at fairmont in Montreal as even in the beginning we told them we will do self just let us know fairmont parking when we came they said you cannot park here we need to park across the street then park n come from tunnel which is very complicated and no one is there to guide we were keep asking strangers on road for fairmont parking then at the end we came back to hotel n told to give us vallet parking that what we paid 80$ for two nights and also we paid 5$ to other parking for just entering and it at the same time…very worse experience never ever recommend this place to anybody it’s better to go somewhere else

The room was tiny, 250’square feet for1200 for 3 days, insane. The minibar wasn’t available unless I wanted to rent it for 25 dollars a day. The staff was ok, but acted like they were doing my a favour. Worst fairmont ever. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The bar was closed. for two days, (Sunday,Monday). My girlfriends and I wanted an afternoon drink there was nothing available. There restaurant was closed from brunch to lunch and we couldn't get a table. We wanted a small snack and there was nothing available. When you are traveling there needs to be something open t all times for guests to eat and drink. The staff at the restaurant we not very accommodating nor polite for stranded guests. We ended up getting drinks for ourselves and taking them into their store for a quick lunch beverage. No where to sit other than going up to our rooms and drinking on our beds. Traveler's need access to food and drink at all times
This hotel with its lovely name is becoming a second rate hotel. Rooms were very dated. It made me think they were finical trouble. Won't stay there again.

Our stay was supposed to help us relax. It started off well — the hotel was nice — but then we could never get a clear answer from the front office. For example, the bottle of champagne in the room didn’t have a price, and it took us 15 minutes on the phone for someone to tell us they didn’t know. The coffee machine also started leaking from the bottom, so we couldn’t make any coffee. We had paid for a view, but instead we got a wall.

Overall, we honestly expected more.
