We were in a Gold room which had enough food offerings for breakfast, snacks and evenings plus dessert that we didn't need to go out anywhere to eat. Super friendly staff and they were even helpful with suggestions of things to see and do while in town. It also includes a very nice pool, hot tub and sauna. There is an RCB bank right across the street and the underground Montreal mall was right beneath the hotel as well as the Metro subway, the CN railroad and another regional train.

I feel it did not resemble the other Fairmonts At high tea the server was not engaged she forgot my daughter was there for a birthday my other daughters hat was not located when rooms were changed because the noise was too loud in that room someone took that hat and it was sentimental. Lovely hotel, & room. Clean & tidy, modern esthetic. Two issues one minor being that the bedlinens did not reflect a high end hotel, cheap Chinese sheets etc. The major issue was that a buffet breakfast for 3 (self-serve) was $172 for 3 people which is a rip off by the hotel. My elderly parents hardly ate anything, & there was little service except juice & coffee. Really was a letdown after the excellent reception & room.

The in house restaurant selection was poor. A food court type arrangement was not user friendly with cho
scattered across various stations. Staff delivering food were nice and food very good, but the system was very inefficient. The main food court did open all its tables so we went to the small coffee shop across the hall.
The pastry selection was diminished and there was no jam or butter.

The Farimont is in a superb location downtown near the train station. Great lobby area, fantastic gym and very good restaurants/coffee. My room was really nice with an updated bathroom. Overall I was very pleased with my stay!

Our Check in was a little complicated but Axel at the front-desk was amazing, dligent, pleasant and patient in the whole check-in process. Thank you, Axel.

Room was fine but as with our previous stay and with previous stays at different hotels, it is almost unknown for washbasins to be able to close and retain the water!

Convenient location above the train station and within the city. Lines for checking in were long and didn’t move quickly, which was frustrating given the late check-in time. Not enough staff at breakfast meant long waits just to check in with the hostess. Nothing particularly unique or beautiful about this hotel other than its location. Wouldn’t stay again.

The rooms were nice. But not very sound proof the person in the next room had there phone alarm set for early in the morning. It rang for 20-25 minutes straight. I could clearly hear it through the walls. I guess they were just a heavy sleeper

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. It is centrally located amongst some of the best local attractions in Montreal. Walking to Center Bell was a breeze. The staff was all very courteous and our room was clean, spacious and modern. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Montreal to stay here.

We came into town using VIA Rail. The convenience of walking from Gare Centrale right into the Hotel was amazing! All of the amenities we accessed were terrific, from the gym/pool and hot tub to the lobby bar.

Rooms weren't a large as they thought they would be. Shower/bathroom very small. Long time to get on elevators. Kids partying next door until 6 am. Security came up twice, but they didn't stop. Security should have stayed/followed up and made sure they stopped or needed to leave. Zero sleep that night.

We checked in let so I couldn't go to the restaurant with my son because he was under age. The pool closed at 8 pm so we couldn't use that either. We ordered room service which was extremely expensive and the meal was terrible.

I used to work at the QE Hotel in the 1970's.
I was on duty in the Medical Dept/ clinic when Pierre Laporte was found dead in the trunk of the car. These were the days of the October Crisis".
I just spent 3 days in Montreal as a guest. Lovely quit rooms, excellent housekeeping and food (Roselyn Restaurant.
The hotel is as glamorous and at the same time peaceful in spite of the busywork.

From check in to check out, (3 nights) the hotel staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Especially during check in, and baggage handling. My partner and I were treated as if we were regulars or frequent visitors.

The King Suite was spotless, housekeeping timely and diligent. Room service was prompt and, of course, helpful.

I feel what separates perfectly fine lodging establishments from the very best is attention to overall details no matter how minor and treat the lodgers as special guests. The Fairmont Royal York one of the best, hands down.
