Whether you're here for business or leisure, each room feels like a sanctuary, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside. I live in the US and hadn't been back home to Yangon in 10 years. Two months ago, when I returned, I booked every new hotel in Yangon except this one because I assumed the older hotels might lack activities and amenities. However, I regretted that decision the moment I arrived in july second time. The Sedona Hotel Yangon made me feel instantly at home. Even at midnight, walking around the hotel felt as comfortable as strolling through my own house—it's that safe and welcoming. The lobby café offered exceptional customer service, and the staff were incredibly friendly and well-trained. Almost every member of the staff exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and warmth. Overall, my experience at the Sedona Hotel Yangon was nothing short of exceptional.

Grace under pressure

Staying here during the COVID crisis and the staff and management are doing their best to make the situation safe and comfortable. The food is quite good, facilities are kept very clean, and hotel staff are always helpful. It's not the ideal time to be in any hotel, but we made the right choice by choosing Sedona. Great location. The hotel grounds are green and beautiful, and Inya Lake is across the street.

CONS: Room was old and dated. Bathroom curtain smelled old, and hair dryer was weak. AC in the room was barely working, even after they \"fixed\" it on my first day (I complained).

PROS: Convenient location, right across Myanmar Plaza. Gym was insane--spacious, clean, and very premium. Breakfast buffet looked good but didn't try as I found it expensive for breakfast.

My room in old building, there are 3 light and LED bulbs are out of order. after call and wait over an hour for technician to fix.
Breakfast restaurant, bad experience, no service, you need to search your seat, and always wait for the coffee mug and long queue after the coffee machine.

Good service and hospitality at Sedona Hotel. Hotel manager was very friendly and patiently attended to us. Complimentary beverages was one of the few bonuses for our stay there. Overall was a great experience for our travel stay. Will definitely stay at the hotel again.

The staff was very professional and always polite and courteous.
The hotel is conveniently located across the street from Myanmar Plaza, there is a grocery store, coffee shops and multiple restaurants.
The spa was undergoing renovation and so I wasn't able to utilize it. The Breakfast buffet was very expensive ($25 USD) for Myanmar.

Wonderful hotel and good location

This is not my first time stay in Sedona Hotel. Every 2 months when I'm in Yangon I stay this hotel. They have 2 side of the building , new wing and old wing. Both are great though, the old wing building room are a little bit old, but still consider good overall. Personally prefer new wing hotel room.

The check in service was good. The staff was friendly. Two things I had raised the complain to the reception during my stay. One was the room was not made up when I returned to the room at 3 pm. The other one was - hotel has compliment drink between 5 pm to 7 pm. I just needed to order one from the 4 choices. So on the same day since I was back to the room early, I ordered my hot chocolate at around 4:30 pm and I was expecting to get it at around 5ish. It didn't come at 5:15 pm so I called to check, the lady said will be sent in 15 mins. At 5:45 pm, still not come. I called again and the lady said she will check. Then 6 pm, still not come. I called again then I was explained that the drink will be delivered between 5 pm - 7 pm instead of deliver like a room service, that means if I order the drink at 5 pm, I could get the drink anytime between 5-7 pm, in the worst case, I could get it after two hours. I wish the reception could have explained to me the routine or at least the lady who received my order should explain.

Hotel declares breakfast at 5.30 but the full spread is only out at 6.15.

Sedona New Inya Wing or original wing?

I've stayed at Sedona 4 times this year and much prefer the new Inya Wing comforts but not sure if it can justify the additional 77$ per night ++ above the rate for the old wing (3 pax)
The plug points are much more well sited and plentiful in the old wing , although noise from the pool and wedding functions a bit of a nuisance (nothing worse than out of tune karaoke ) .
Staff in new wing are more polished but overall staff at both sites are very helpful and polite .
The hotel is across the road from Myanmar Plaza mall , and the DuFu restaurant has many tasty dishes that we tried several times during our stays .

For the price and the location, well worth booking. The rooms were very spacious. Pricing on food and beverage is on the expensive side, however vouchers were issued that you could use for dining or to pay for incidentals when checking out. Several eateries are present onsite, very professional service, but also the food was excellent - variety, preparation and presentation. The Staff were pleasant and very accommodating.

I stayed a week in Sedona Hotel. It is a truly 5 star hotel. Accommodations are top notch. Very helpful staff. Views of Inya Lake breath taking. Inside facilities area also top notch. My meeting was held in Sedona and food was good. I would come back and stay here in my next trip.

We stayed on the older part of the hotel which was nice but maybe not as 5* worthy as the newer part. However, we did enjoy the stay as the bed are seriously comfortable and the breakfast buffet a delight. Fresh food every morning with a great choice of western and eastern food, some made in front of your eyes and/or to oder at the food stations.
The Hotel is conveniently located right next to Myanmar Plaza conveniently you will find cheap good food and a selection of shops and a night market Fri-Sun as well as Night Clubs and bars.
I first had a poolside room then moved on to a lakeside one. The Lake view might be pretty for a day but I enjoyed the pool view as the room was more quiet and the pool area looks nice and peaceful, while the Lake View is great but there is a large road between the hotel and the lake plus you can hear the Bars/Clubs in the evening (on the poolside it's very quite in comparison). So book poolside if you want a quiet sleep.

Great service from hotel concierge, housekeeping, and commissionaires. I had better service during check-in and check-out last time. Good location since it's across the street from Myanmar plaza, however, I felt like playing frogger every time crossing the street. Good size swimming pool and gym. The breakfast buffet is not bad I just wish they have more Burmese breakfast selections. However, they do have Burmese tea and fresh fruit juice bar.

Worst night ever.

From my previous stay, I complained that the room was too loud due to a night club across the hotel. Sedona hotel promised that for the next visit, I will be assigned different location.
Guess what? Same location again, I could NOT sleep until that club is closed. Worst night!!

Also, I made a reservation as one person, and requested for queen size bed with non-smoking room. But, I was assigned to twin bed room. I tried to resolve this issue with night duty manager who put me on hold for 15minutes at 11:30pm.

Again, I have disappointed at this hotel, and if you are looking for quite night staying, don't stay here.

This is a modern and comfortable hotel. I stayed in the Club level and experienced good service. Breakfast in the main restaurant is somewhat hectic and staff seem to run off their legs trying to keep everyone happy. We ate there and took the buffet one evening, which was somewhat disappointing. The hotel has a nice pool and is opposite a shopping mall. Wifi was stretched at times.

The services provided the hotel was not fantastic and was not up to a five-star hotel standard. I stay at the new wing of Sedona Yangon. During one of the days of my stay in the hotel, I received a message from my driver that he has arrived at the hotel to pick me up. I quickly went down to the lobby and saw him drove passed. I try texting him and calling him using my local handphone but the text and call failed. I suspect I have run out of credits on my local sim card. I approach the lobby receptionist names Cho Wai. SHe told me the phone at the reception desk cannot be called out and she didnt offer any other help. I have to wahtapps using hotel wifi to text a friend in yangon to call teh driver. I was very disappointed with the services. It is the first time in my life that the hotel cannot assist to call a local phone line. Strange

1. In the morning before we checked out. Bathroom pipe was broken, so we need to borrow our friend's room to take a shower. Hotel receptionist sent a person to stop leaking, but he didn't arrange us to another room for using restroom.
2. The floor in Man's room in the gym is dirty. Walking with bare feet, I can feel there are a lot of sands stick on my feet.
3. The temperature in whirlpool sometimes is not in the right temperature( sometimes is only 37C). Maybe it is because they wanna safe electricity.
