Aquamarine*** is situated on 150 meters (2 minutes by foot) from the largest beach in Sozopol. The hotel offers rooms for two and three person.
In the two person rooms there is one big bed or two separate beds. In the three - person rooms there are three separate single beds or one big double and one single bed.
A bed for children to 2 years and an unfolding armchair for children to 5.99 years are provided free of charge. Each room has a balcony, a bathroom + WC, a flat screen TV (cable TV), air conditioning, a small fridge, a safe, a hairdryer, a thermo pitcher, a minimum of utensils.

The place was full of cats! It was disgusting and I am allergic to cats, couldn't go to some of the restaurants or locations due to them. We upgraded the room and package but it was not worth it. Rooms was really hot and had to get maintenance to lower thermostat. The drinks were not good anywhere except the main bar all other places it was really cheap liquor. The restaurants only served very small portions and if you don't have a cell phone to order via QR code then you are out of luck since there is NO menu. The main buffet was very good and had a variety of food every day. Would not go there again especially when you can not explore all the properties.

Rooms were okay showers could have been cleaner and nicer. Getting around the resort isn’t the easiest and have to use the golf cart service so a lot of time waiting. Beach is a far walk and you have to make sure you go through the Punta Cana resort as your not allowed to get any drinks at the other resort

Be prepared when making dinner reservations that you might get them on your last day of 6 day stay or you will be having dinner after 9pm or eating at the buffet every night. The staff cleaning the rooms were not friendly. Asked for two blankets the first night of our stay and only received one..kept asking and didn’t get the second blanket. Wash clothes after the first night disappeared no matter how many times we asked for them. Staff around the pool was non existent, this may be that the staff was directed to

Well I assume that now Hyatt has taken over I assume major updates will be done. Chipped tiles everywhere shingles missing on the roof dents on every surface. Just cosmetic but gives the impression the property is old and someone was getting ready to sell this and hasn’t spent a dime in years. The staff spend all their time screaming and arguing with each other so a relaxing calm experience is not here as all you hear is staff screaming at each other. The staff acts like that teenager you keep asking to clean their room and the attitude you get. No management seen anywhere. Waiters and cleaning staff sort of going about their business half heartedly no supervisors anywhere. I have been to this property previously and now will not be returning unfortunately

Don’t say you weren’t warned. An ok property in a large complex of other Bahía Príncipe resorts. Then aquamarine was not the best of the properties- it’s a bit dated. The good: food was excellent, spa was nice, beach was beautiful even though it’s a long walk or trolley ride away, staff are nice. The concerns: bed was like sleeping on concrete, seriously they should not allow these mattresses, complex is enormous requires long walks or trolleys to get around, the bracelets and having to sign out towels and potentially charges if you don’t return them to the towel hut is so cumbersome. No one goes on vacation to steal towels after they paid so much money to relax. There was also a fair amount of construction and late night music. Some my enjoy this type of setting but if your looking for a premium experience, you may want to look at alternatives.

Breakfast was a hit and miss. Some items such as the shrimp were dry. The snack stand with hamburgers and hot dogs with the buns being so cold, were awful. And the most annoying appreciated thing were the women serving the drinks. They were tired all the time, dragged their feet and never said good morning and never served with a smile.

The experience at the resort was good except for one incident. When we arrived to the reception desk, one of the receptionists took us aside and said that our room was not ready and we needed to wait an hour, even though it was supposed to be ready at the time we arrived there which was 15:00. They then said that if we wanted the room prepared faster we could give a monetary \"tip.\" We declined this attempt. Other than that, the beach, services, amenities, and everything else exceeded our expectations.

We had a great time at this resort! Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the overall vibes of this resort met our standards. We are considering to visit again and stay at the Ambar resort because we liked their extra amenities but Aquamarine was more than we expected. We highly recommend it 10/10

The first room we were put in was run down. They changed us to a different room which was better but the refrigerator didn't work and the half the lights did not work. Overall the staff was extremely nice but I wish they knew a little bit more English. Maybe provide them with a basic English course to understand common inquiries. Also the Reilly service was all over the place. Half the time they would pass you up or tell you to go somewhere else to catch a different one. They should run on a schedule because you have no idea how long until the next one comes. The pool needs better music and it ducks or closes at 6 because most people get sun burnt being out in the middle of the day. Overall it was a great stay and I would book again I just think there is a bit of room for improvement.

The resort is beautiful, well maintained and spotless. Spectacular beach. The food and the service in the à la carte restaurants we went to was excellent. My only criticism is that when you arrive there is no information given about the free activities that are advertised, such as snorkelling. The first time I inquired, the person I asked, didn’t know anything about it. The second time I asked at guest services and we were told to go down the beach and we would find it. We went to the location and were told we had to pay $70 US each. Maybe wrong location? I don’t know.

The all inclusive feature regarding food and beverages was excellent! The staff kept the room and grounds clean. The good rating on the room is because the bed was hard making it difficult to sleep comfortably. We constantly had to ask for washcloths and was told \"later\" later was always in an excess of 3 hours time or not at all. One very annoying occurrence was staff members in the lobby continuously asking us to sign up for a \"rewards tour\" which really was a 90 minute timeshare presented as a way to obtain an amenity.

Was our bathrooms, (both times) the jacuzzi tub didn’t work and you got either really cold or really hot water coming out of the faucets and shower. The shower fixtures were old and corrosive, water pressure wasn’t the best, hope that new owners, Hyatt Inc, fix these.

Clean roosma, great staff. Casino was smaller but table mins were nice at 5 bucks. I actually won $3,600 usd our last night at the casino. Its open 3pm to 3am. We got a cab and visited the fammed Hard Rock casino and its nice and big but in the end we preferred our Bahia Casino overall! Better payouts on features etc.

Property was well maintained. Pool was very nice with plenty of lounge chairs but it lacked umbrellas unfortunately. If you weren’t up by 7 or 7:30 am you would not get a shade umbrella for the day. The same goes for the beach. We went to the beach later in the morning and were able to find two chairs however no palapas available by that time of day. We brought our own travel beach umbrella which worked great for us. (Amazon) I would highly recommend it.
We booked a poolside room and were located in building 80 and the music and entertainment in the evening is very loud so if you are an early to bed kind of person I would suggest not booking a poolside room. The music plays very loudly until 10:45 or 11 pm each night and can be heard clearly inside the rooms. After 11 the resort is pretty quiet.

The resort was as really fun experience just really really big and it seemed like our room needed a few remodels, including the leak in the bathroom ceiling. We went with a group of 11 and they were able to accomodate our rooms being together and all of our restaurant reservations. The food was pretty good being it is an all inclusive and there is somewhere open all the time. My personal main complaint is that the resort is so massive that you need to take golf carts everywhere (which there always are some available) so you probably won't really know where you are going for anything till like day 4. Overall I would go back but there is a little room for improvement for sure.

This resort was great! It is huge, but they offer carts at these train stops that take you to destinations. The food was amazing, specifically the buffet restaurant that Aquamarine has. So many selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that everyone has something they would enjoy. Some restaurants are way better than others. If I could reserve my dinners again I would alternate through Portifino, Maiko, Flame, and MEAT (best one). There’s so much to do at the resort, and every night there is something like live music, white party, foam party, etc. The drinks were so delicious as well. Sometimes the towel bar ran out of towels, but I would say the only big downside is the quality of the rooms. It was clean, however, in the middle of the night water started pouring from the ceiling by the AC. It flooded the floor. Another thing is a strong sewage smell at times coming from the shower drain, and the toilet at times had trouble flushing. Overall, the pros weigh out the cons and I would go back and recommend this resort for others!

Does not love to 5 star hotel. Food is mediocre across the board, buffet is so so except for the grilled section. Housekeepers start working at 8am and talk loudly in the long hallways which amplifies the sound and wakes you up. Some bartenders and servers don’t care for their job and give you a look like they don’t want you there. One of the coffee machine was broken daily in the lobby.

The pool was fine. Sometimes the staff was a little bit smart ass. The room was OK. Every day we had to ask for something else. They didn’t leave us coffee. They didn’t leave us creamer. They didn’t leave us sugar. They didn’t leave us bottles of pop in the refrigerator, and they never left us any washcloths which we asked for and some days they just left us a couple towels. But the worst part was they were changing over their carrier for TV. We called them many times to ask them about the TV and they never told us. Finally one day my husband walked down to guest services and they told him what was happening. But before that, our TV did not work at all. Restaurants were good and this is not the first time we were here. We visited Baja principal three times twice in Punta, Cana, and once in La Romana. This was by far , the worst time we had. And unfortunately, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed at Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine (Adults Only) in Punta Cana for six nights. Overall, we had a good experience, but there are a few things future guests should know before booking.
First, the property is enormous. It’s essentially several resorts within one large complex. Aquamarine is adults-only, but other sections of the property allow children. If you’re expecting a completely adults-only environment everywhere (including the beach and shared areas), that’s not the case. You will see families in certain parts of the property and on sections of the beach.
Our room was very nice and clean. We stayed in Building 80, which is one of the closer buildings to the beach. The downside was that it faces the main pool and entertainment area, so we could clearly hear nighttime entertainment in our room. Thankfully, it usually ended around 11 PM, so it wasn’t a major issue — but something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, and transportation around the property is easy thanks to frequent golf carts that take you to the beach, restaurants, and other areas of the resort.
Restaurant Tip: Download the Bahia Principe app and book your dinner reservations about 7–10 days before arrival. Restaurants fill up quickly, and having reservations made in advance made our stay much smoother.

The room was not great. The water pressure in the shower dribbled out. The water temperature was cold on most days. The lock on the sliding glass door was dangling. The main door had to be slammed over and over again to actually shut. The blinds covering the bathroom window were strange. The overall room look dated and old. There should be food options at the beach for breakfast. The one cafe there for lunch was DIRTY and gross. Staying at Aquamarine had very few options for food besides the one cafe. The gym was clean but needs several more treadmills. Staff would disappear for hours at a time. Front desk staff was very friendly. Male servers in the cafe were great...female were miserable.

We arrived 60 minutes early and we were able to get a room we preferred. Room was nice some wear and tare but clean. There was a problem that we didn't find out until we went to bed. The bed was not fully made there was not a full bottom sheet. We called housekeeping and they had someone come and they had to leave and return with the proper bedding once we showed them what was wrong. After a long day of travel this was frustrating. The rest of the week our room was always made and cleaned properly. We stayed at Aquamarine 3 years ago and enjoyed the stay, the quality of the food and the service. This trip we found everything to be down a notch. Over all the food was mediocre. We had a delicious meals Flame and Il Capriccio and enjoyed the grilled shrimp at Fish Market and tacos at the snack bar. Our wine sommelier was so pleasant and friendly. Franseco at the Flamboyan Bar makes a great Old Fashioned melting the sugar by lighting it on fire with some whiskey! It seems as though some of the staff are worried about the Hyatt take over and it has spilled over into their performance. One major disappointment is the house wines. Three years ago we enjoyed the house wines that were offered. The wines offered now are acidic. And paying $74 dollars for a $15 bottle in the US is rediculous. Another annoyance is that every restaurant and service comes with an upgrade for an upcharge. We have stayed at Bahia hotels 7 times now and want to return. We also hope the quality improves.

The beach was beautiful. The room was okay, there was water leaking around the toilet which was kind of annoying. The blanket / comforter wasn’t comfortable as well.
