The location of this hotel was terrific for everything we needed. UP Express and subway minutes away. The rooms were small but we were only there to shower and sleep. Pamphlets on tourist attractions would have been helpful. I would stay here again when visiting Toronto.

Had a very good stay at the Union Hotel. Very clean, staff were very friendly and an excellent location. The rooms are very small but I was aware prior from other reviews. Bed as comfortable. We weren’t spending a lot of time lounging in our room. Would definitely stay again.

Parking!!!!, very misleading that beside the hotel is a parking entrance which has no elevator to the hotel or even to street level. Only stairs a long distance from the hotel. The bags were too heavy to pull up the two flights of stairs so I took a chance and pulled the bags up the non-pedestrian ramp and had to walk around the block to get back to the hotel. Bad start and the web site could make it clearer. Hotel was very nice however for $600 a night the rooms were extremely small. Nice, functional, modern and clean, but small.

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located. The one thing we didn't like was the size of the room. The room was listed as \"1 queen bed (Queen Swanky). The bed in the room was definitely NOT a queen, it was a double size. When I mentioned this at the front desk the manager told me that was indeed a queen size \"for their hotel\". So if you are looking for a queen size bed I would recommend you reserve a king size room. I am including a picture with my husband in the bed. He is 5'11\" and about 225 lbs. You can see that this is a much smaller bed than is listed.

It was very well located, only a short walk away from union station. made it really easy to get to the hotel from the airport( and also pretty cheap). A lot of day excursions pick you up from nearby locations, so I would recommend it for the convenience in that as well.

As for the room, it was very clean and well maintained. Water pressure was really good in the shower too, and the amenities that they provided were very good quality, especially the coffee. My room was on the 8th floor, so I had a really nice view of the financial district outside, again the location with this hotel was everything. From the moment I checked into this hotel, to the moment I left, not once did I see any part of it dirty. Very meticulously maintained and always had a lovely clean smell even just walking around the corridors.

The staff tried to also be really helpful from the moment I checked in, especially since I was very keen on booking an excursion to see the Niagara falls, they provided me with a lot of helpful advice, which I definitely needed after my long flight.

Overall, giving this place a nice 10/10. There was breakfast available downstairs, however I never tried it since I wanted to see as much of the city as possible and try something new each day, which was very easy since the location for it was practically surrounded by coffee shops and other breakfast places.

The hotel was a small lovely hotel. The rooms were fine, clean and nice linens and towels. The restaurant was really good, small menu but really good food. My only complaint was the charging ports were very slow and actually at times my phone would lose charge instead of gaining a charge. As long as it was plugged in overnight it would charge fine. I would stay again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel was in a great location and really convenient. Rooms are cosy for a longer stay especially the bathroom having two people in. Had everything we needed and everything was restocked. Floor quite dusty and not overly clean in some places.

At the top I will say that the room was clean.

The hotel is quaint but vastly overpriced. $1100 got me two nights in a \"Swanky Queen\", which was extremely small and felt like a basement guest room. It looked fine if you had no sense of space, had no luggage, and did not intend to put clothes in the closet as the tea and coffee set took up most of it.

The bathroom was also cramped with the toilet too close to the shower and sink stuffed into a corner so that you can't use any of them straight-on. The shower glass was too far apart and staggered incorrectly so the floor gets drenched. There is now towel bar, only strange knobs that towels fall off of.

The room needs to come with a User Manual as everything is counter-intuitive or inconsistent. If you wear glasses, make sure to thoroughly investigate the shower controls before taking them off. The strange buttons inside the door labelled \"CEILING\" and \"MASTER\" are \"on\" and \"off\" for the light on the wall. Every single lamp's switch operates in a different manner. The controls on the HVAC unit are completely locked out in favour of an inept remote thermostat that randomly lags and can only change temperature. My colleague complained of the noise keeping him up all night as he could not get it to stop cycling. The \"reading lamp\" is as bright as a normal lamp and will hurt your eyes.

The USB outlets were broken.

The Do Not Disturb sign was ignored.

Shop around, for a few bucks more you won't have to poop sideways.

Location is good, just opposite of Union Station where you take express to Airport is so convenient. Room is not big but ok for 2 adults. It is clean. Strong water flow and stable water temperature is highlight. Bed is ok. There is gym room as well. The disadvantage is missing fridge and the air conditioner is quite noisy.

Staff at check in was prompt and courteous. The location is a short walk to the CN Tower, Tidgers Field, and the Aquarium. The room was small, dark, and depressing. More lighting needed in room and closet. I recommend installing a safe and a luggage stand. Quirky attempt to sell a stuffed animal in the room.

Le hall de l'hôtel est superbe, le personnel aimable. Le gros problème est l'insonorisation en général. Les fenêtres du bâtiment sont vieilles et de piètres qualité ce qui fait que l'on entend les bruits extérieurs comme s'ils les voitures, les sirènes de police etc étaient dans la chambre. Il en va de même pour les portes de chambres dont l'espace sous la porte laisse entrer le bruits du corridor dont les gens qui parlent fort et les portes qui ferment fort. Bref une mise à jour de l'insonorisation serait important...

The location is the very best thing, followed by the fun and social lobby. The rooms are clean, but I find the pillows to be no good and the room went from blasting cold air to terribly humid and stuffy. The staff is fantastic, but their computer systems are so slow and it means long line up and a lot of waiting.

We have stayed here a number of times now, and will continue to do so when visiting Toronto. The location is great for sightseeing, eating out, and shopping. The staff are friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable without being too intrusive. We would recommend getting the breakfast option with your stay as we found it to be really good value (and really good tasting, too). The only issue we had was the in-room coffee. The manual pour-over system is awkward, messy, and time-consuming and the coffee itself isn’t great (although the coffee in the lounge is quite good!). The rooms are smaller than some, but they are well-appointed, comfortable, and clean: the price point also more than makes up for the coziness!

This is our favourite stay in Toronto! It is in a great walkable location and we love the decor and simplicity of this hotel. Parking is an added bonus as is the cafe within the hotel. Highly reccomend - have stayed here multiple times and will continue to book.

This hotel is a gem. The staff were all lovely and super helpful; I had some issues checking in (which was totally my fault because I’d left my physical bank card at home some 3000 miles away) but they made sure to sort it out as efficiently as possible.

The room was a good size with good storage space, a fridge and the TV had app access and the ability to cast from your device. I also liked that there were water dispensers on each floor so I could fill up my water bottle whenever I needed to for free.
There were also usb a + c slots in the wall so even though I brought a Canadian plug with me, I didn’t need it :)

The lobby is a nice space to hang out in (there are plug sockets dotted around here also) and the restaurant has some good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I would definitely stay here again!

What a beautifully appointed hotel! Lots of room in the lobby to sit, relax, work or chat. Room was clean and had everything we needed (except the pour-over coffee was not the best). We couldn't get the curtains to close though, so it was too bright in our room for sleeping well. Overall, a great spot and central to everything.

I love staying at the Union hotel. It's a breeze to get to from Billy Bishop, and public transit is right there. My room was ready early which was great! My room had zero view even though it was on the top floor; a small quibble, I know, but I had to keep the blinds drawn as to not be in other folks' business the whole time (there are an internal facing set of rooms where we are just seeing each other's windows).
Rooms are great and the restaurant downstairs makes great coffee.
