A fabulous concept, to revitalize an entire village! All was beautifully realized, including the spa facilities. There was much of interest to see in the area, including the important UNESCO World Heritage site monasteries adjacent. The staff was incomparable. We hope to visit again soon!!!!

Superb hotel, beautiful surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at Casale Panayiotis! It is a beautiful hotel and run by very friendly and professional staff. They were on hand to offer advice or help us with anything we needed which we were very grateful for. Our room was so comfortable and we had a very peaceful couple of nights’ stay there. The food at the Byzantino restaurant was exceptional and the staff were so warm and courteous. We had a great afternoon at the spa when we arrived as well. On our final full day, we went to the local winery which is on the mountain top. It was an excellent afternoon out and the staff were very knowledgeable and professional. If you’re a wine lover, it’s an absolute must!

We must also give a shout out to Mr. Jack who did our transfer to the airport, he was an absolute delight. He went above and beyond and gave us some information/history about the area as we drove, which was lovely. He was very friendly and he gave us a really special end to our holiday that we didn’t expect!
Overall, we had an excellent stay at Casale Panayiotis and would recommend it to anyone.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It’s a lovely hotel and beautiful setting. It’s quaint and quiet.
I did feel short changed on some things, we booked to have massages and had to pay to use the spa facilities which I think is unreasonable. We were also due an upgrade with our Expedia arrangement and they “upgraded us to a room closer to the vicinity”, this to me isn’t a room upgrade, I would understand if they were busy but they were not. They also put us in a room next door to a noisy family, appreciate that they do not know how noisy people will be. But a couple are best placed away from families where children are likely to cause disturbance.
These issues aside, a nice place.

The hotel is clean and well maintained, the stuff was friendly, couple of little details could have been better, like: you need tissue box and laundry bag to be in the room. I ordered pates of fruit to be placed in rooms which never appeared.
One of the rooms had a balcony which was very nice, the second room was a bid claustrophobic, you had no way of safely keeping a window open to enjoy fresh air at night. Overall good experience

Overall very nice hotel in a nice location.

The good:
- Beautiful hotel and an amazing location
- We booked two rooms, one had a really nice jacuzzi with a complimentary bag of salt
- A few restaurants in the Main Street, from local cuisine to nice coffee places
- AMAZING wine-bar nearby, had live local music
- Nearby driving distance many great attractions (waterfalls, monasteries and other nature-oriented)

The bad:
- Rooms are spread all over the villages, ours was far from main building so requires going up and down the elevator (needed to get tickets every time from receptions, otherwise it costs money)
- Air-condition didn’t work and we didn’t want to open the window so that bugs will not enter the room
- We went to one of the hotel’s restaurants (the one upstairs) which had a really nice vibe and two dishes were fine, BUT one dish (ribeye steak) was overcooked and wasn’t good. Although they exchanged it for the fish, they’ve asked us to cut it in the middle to prove it wasn’t overcooked AND after taking the dish back, argued by saying that the kitchen/chef is saying it was cooked just accurate (which it wasn’t). All in all for a “high end” restaurant, it should have had better attitude and customer service. Overall it was not bad, although a bit expensive

Others:
- Roads around the village were tough, after the rain there were many rocks on the road which means careful driving
- Finding parking space might be a little challenging, but not a big deal

Great hotel, interesting back story

This hotel has a really interesting back story. It was created by a man from the village who went out and got rich and then wanted to reinvest in his childhood home. He bought up abandoned houses and invested in infrastructure, so now the village is prospering again.

We really enjoyed the multiple hiking options around the hotel! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff was friendly as well. The spa is out of this world and is worth investing the extra 20 euros.

As for the rooms, we spent one night in the junior suite (marathon) and then got upgraded to the suite (lutraki). We honestly strongly preferred the junior suite as it was cosier and had a nicer bed.

Overall, a great hotel and we are likely to return!

If there is an issue after midnight, there will be no one to help you and you will be ignored by management the next day too!

There is no staff staying at the hotel after 12 AM which is ridiculous. What if there is an emergency and need someone? You call the reception only to be told the matter will be handled the next morning since no one is there.

Such was a case during our stay when a drunk group of tenants was partying loudly at 4 AM. Loud music, shouting and screaming in the middle of a peaceful village. The hotel staff already left the hotel so no one was there to tell them to stop and they went on, keeping everyone up.

During breakfast the next day, we asked to talk to the manager of the hotel who was in his office. He ignored us twice and didn't come out to even acknowledge the issue.

Save your money and go to 5-star hotels who will charge you less and take better care of you while there.

My wife enjoyed having a treatment in the Spa and thought the set up was good.

Ideal for walkers/outside activities. Need to be reasonably fit as surrounding area hilly.

I like the idea which is a real old village restored to a nice resort in the mountain
-I did not like that my Studio was a bit far away of the main rooms, restaurants and reception, it was in a seperate building(like 7 minutes walk), but there is a nice restaurant on the last floor of the building (Pantheon) although i've been given a free ticket to use the elevator up, but if you wanna go up and down again you should pay 1 euro for the ticket

-The service was good, but in the restaurants, a little smile on the faces would be nice

-They room cleaning service was not perfect, even the soap was not refilled and at the end of the day it ran out

-You will be provided with some wood for the fire place, but if you want more you should pay

-The shuttle service to the rooms was not availble after 8 PM

-The road to the reception was closed for some construction works I think, it was difficult to reach the hotel from different route then carrying the bags to the car

In general its amazing to stay at Casale! The reason is just everything! Some suggestions are: the pillows are so thick and the matress is so soft so you dont have comfortable night. The bathroom is not practical as all the water goes out of the glass. The food at Loutraki restaurant does not worth its money! No quantity, no quality at all, but the service was perfect! The food at Vyzantino restaurant was incredible delicious!

Great location.. rooms set amongst the village homes on the mountain side..very nice room... spacious and comfy but beginning to show signs of wear and tear..sink plug missing and slow to drain..the hotel reception were notified but unable to resolve...knobs broken on wardrobe..nothing a little more care and attention couldn't solve .. Breakfast was ace...evening meals really tasty although services was erratic at times for example main courses arriving at the table at the same time as starters..Great base for some serious walking in the Troodos Mountains

Busy on a weekend. Super peaceful Spa hotel..

We arrived for 2 night stay. Saturday to Monday. Got there and ALL treatments were booked, managed to get into the Spa for 2hrs. This place is packed on weekends. Book your treatments in advance by 4 weeks. I complained, Staff were helpful and arranged for Thai massage on the Monday Morning, followed by a late check out... Massage by very nice Thai lady. 10/10 one of the best. Even after 10 trips to thailand... Very nice of the staff to help out with booking us in. This place is superb if you want calm and relaxation. Its very peaceful. The town about closes by 9pm though. Not a lot happening after 8PM. Great hiking area. Worth a visit. Id go back but midweek out of season

The property located in a very nice location with excellent mountain, greenery and river views.

The timing of my stay could’ve been better, the weather was warm.

We tried the massage service which I enjoyed, the Yoga experience as good too, however the cheese making experience was expensive for what it get. It is basically watching a cook make cheese at the hotel, and get the Hallomi cheese with you.

I would recommend staying the the suite, it has spacious living area and nice bedroom and with a beautiful view.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, very unique peaceful place in the mountains. The people are super nice. The breakfast buffet is great also, very fresh.
They only thing, I wish there was a pool in the hotel to enjoy in the hot weather because the only one is in the spa and it is paid for a 2h turn. This said, we really enjoy the spa, specially the snow cabin.

Second time - not so good as first time

It was my second time in Casale but my previous experience was better.
Issues this time:
1. Loutraki restaurant where we were planning to have my birthday dinner has some issues in the kitchen and we were not accepted. Because of that we had to to go Byzantino restaurant and the food there wasn't amazing. You should delete Raviolli from you menu - the worst I have eaten in my life :(
2. We wanted to have a glass of wine in the library next to a fire place but we were told that it is not winter so they don't light a fireplace anynore. Ok, I have accepted that even the evening was cold :) But the next day at the restaurant ( since it was a warm and sunny day) I wanted to have my breakfast outside. Inside was very hot and not possible to breath. And I was told it is still winter so they don't serve food outside :) So when I want a fireplace in the cold evening it is summer already, but when I want my breakfast outside during the sunny day, it is winter :) Strange how it can be two seasons during same 24 hours.
3. The door handle of the bathroom was broken. It stayed in my hand when I opened the door.
4. The shower had two options to make a show but only one was working.

The pluses:
1. Complimentary wine and fruit platter
2. The view from the room
3. The fireplace in the room
4. Comfortable bed

I was very excited to stay in Casale Panayiotis, however I would say that it was not exactly what I expected. Entering our room we noticed the balcony door was broken and couldn't close it. We mentioned it to the reception, they sent someone, he couldn't fix it and told us that it has been broken for few days now. I don't understand why they put us in the room from the beginning if they knew about the problem from the beginning. They told us 2 rooms were available since there were no cleaners that day to clean another room for us and the one room had a weird smell so they didn't want to put us there so we had to go to the second choice. The room was average, not so clean(dust in room, cigarettes all over the balcony), main things missing (soap etc). Going to sleep at night we realized the one shutter could not close and all night we felt something in our bed. We did not manage to sleep all night. Eventually in the morning we found it was a spider. I went very upset to inform the reception, they managed to change us to another room which was much better and cleaner. Arriving at the hotel we were also informed that the Spa department was closed for maintance, something that was not mentioned when I made my booking at Hotel. Com. I strongly believe that this hotel is over priced for what it is offering. It is a nice place to relax, however things need to be improved. Staff were polite.I believe for what they advertise and the prices they charge, our stay was not value for money.

This is an unusual hotel in that it is composed of private houses in a hamlet that have all been converted to hotel rooms. As such there is a variation of quality between rooms. Initially we stayed in a magnificent room but then had to move to a room that had recently been added to the hotel and was much inferior (from decor to quality of bed ). All rooms have lovely views over the valley. The spa is outstanding in design and service. The breakfast and dinners were excellent. The staff were helpful and eager to please. Due to the unusual set up of being a genuine hamlet there are lots of steps so this is not suitable for someone with bad knees or a wheelchair.

This place is a must for nature, hiking and mountain villages and SPA lovers. The hotel offers lovely rooms scattered all over the village. Every room is drowned in flowers. We had a very spacious room, flawlessly clean with a a very comfortable big bed. We had a kitchenette with all the necessary things provided. The breakfast included many options to any taste. It was very delicious. Nearby there is a very old Ioann Lampadist monastery dated back to the XIII century and a impressive icons museum, that displays icons painted in XIII century and later. Very close to it there is an old chapel under a 700 years old tree. I can not fail to mention the sulphuric springs, the old water mills, the lovely Venetian bridges and of course a number of nature trails differ in difficulty and the time needed to cover them. There is a wonderful SPA where one can enjoy dry or wet (with herbs) saunas as well as a few other lovely things. I would definitely mention the snow room. There are four lovely restaurants nearby. The whole staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The only drawback of the place if it can be called so is the absence of a supermarket in the village. Definitely recommended!!!

I loved our stay at Casale Panayiotis. I think it's admirable what the owner has done to revitalize the village and everyone working there was very, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I especially liked the view (get a room with a view if you can).
The food was really good too and there was a lot to do in the area. I recommend going up the road to the little chapel with the old tree. It was a really peaceful, special place.
My only complaint would be that the exit sign above the door in the room glows really brightly, so your room isn't dark at night. We had to put a shirt over it to try and dim it. I'd never seen that in a hotel room before so I'm not sure it's necessary, but if you're a light or sensitive sleeper, that could be an issue. Also some noise travels as the windows and doors don't close in an airtight way, so just pack some earplugs and sleep mask and you'll be fine! Luckily the village itself is very quiet.
Oh and it can be hard to find. When you follow the signs for the hotel, don't cross over the bridge. Continue straight, even though it doesn't feel like a road anymore. You can quickly park outside reception and they'll take your bags for you, then you can park right after.

Wonderful stay in the nature

I am glad we have chosen this hotel. Everything was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable, one of the rooms had amazing view of the village and the mountains :) Spa is a must thing while you stay at Casale - we had a positive experience. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Specially Marius who was serving us at Loutraki Grill and during breakfast was really professional. The village is one of the nicest villages in Cyprus in my opinion. The only negative thing is that phone line was not working, so if you need something from the reception you have to leave your room and go there instead of calling :( It is not convenient, specially if you stay far from the reception. Also latte, cappuccino, espresso during breakfast is a must for such category hotel and it was missing...

Excellent hotel in Kalopanayiotis with an amazing view - modernised but still has the village feel. The room was very spacious and even included a small kitchen. Byzantino restaurant was great with a large selection of Cypriot dishes as well as an amazing view of the mountains.

The village is beautiful - for me it's one of the cutest villages in Cyprus.

Beautiful village. Superb accommodation. Very polite and helpful reception staff. Fantastic Monastery. Very relaxing. We liked the thoughtful, smooth paving at the side of the cobbles to help disabled walking/wheelchair access! Fantastic breakfast! Very nice evening dining with attentive staff.

The village is picturesque and perfect for a romantic gateway, especially if you enjoy walking in nature. We stayed at a studio, in ''Loutraki'' complex. The room was nice and clean. We loved the fireplace. However, the Jacuzzi was not working at all.
Breakfast was quite disappointing when it comes to quality, as some items (savories) were not fresh.
Lunch/Dinner options are limited in the area and overpriced.
We were told that Pantheon restaurant takes the last order at 10:30pm. We arrived at 09:40pm and the waiter told us that the kitchen is closed because no food was left (?)
The overall experience was ok, but didn't meet our expectations given the money we have paid.
If you keep your expectations low (3 star hotel), then you won't be disappointed.

Το ξενοδοχείο ειναι πολύ καθαρό και έχει ωραία αρχιτεκτονική .θελει οργάνωση. Μια απο της κοπέλες χαμηλή η οποία ήρθε να μας εξυπηρέτηση και στο σουβενίρ τα πραματουθκια ήτανε πολύ αγενής χαλάει την εικόνα του ξενοδοχείου και ειναι πολύ λυπηρό . Το εστιατόριο την Κυριακή έχει πολύ ζήτηση και απο πελάτες εκτός ξενοδοχείου με αποτέλεσμα εμεις που φτάσαμε Κυριακή δεν είχανε τραπεζάκι για να καθίσουμε να φάμε και έπρεπε να πάρουμε το φαγητό και να πάμε πάνω στο άλλο εστιατόριο για να φάμε ειναι καλό οι πελάτες του ξενοδοχείου να ενημερώνονται και να έχουμε προτεραιότητα !!!! Τα δωμάτια ειναι άψογα και πεντακάθαρα !!!!

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is not perfect, but the positives outweigh the negatives.
The hotel is quite unusual in that it is spread across a number of buildings throughout the whole village. Our room was a short drive or quite an energetic hike from reception and breakfast. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.
The room itself was fantastic. It was more of an apartment with a spacious living room as well as the bedroom. It was clean and modern and nicely decorated. There was even a working fireplace which was very welcome as the nights were cold. Unfortunately, room service did not clean the fire place or replenish the wood so we were only able to use the fire once.
We had nice views from the room and the village was also very pretty.
Parking is a bit of an issue as the narrow village streets limited the number of places to park.
We tried a couple of the restaurants (the hotel has a bit of a monopoly on dining in the village) and the food was generally very good, albeit overpriced for Cycprus.
Breakfast, on the other hand, was disappointing. In a hotel of this quality I would expect fresh juice, coffee and eggs. We had none of the above. The hot breakfast was served buffet style from heated containers so was of the soggy reheated variety. There was a lot of variety and a lot of food available so if qauntity,not quality, is your thing, you will love it.

This place is beautiful. The village, the people, and most especially the Hotel. It’s like a fairytale everything. The room Pantheon has an amazing view of the mountains and the town. The food at the cafe was great too, we loved it.
The staff at this hotel are unbelievable helpful. They’re very sweet people and overall I had a really good time here.

Hidden gem

Cyprus as it should be seen. Fabulous hotel and first class service. Hotel rooms built in old refurbished houses around the hotel courtyard , all done using original stone and timbers. A must see !!!.

Access to the pool is not included!!

I booked this hotel based on the assumption that I would be able to access the pool and hottub as part of the package. The pictures of the hotel show a nice pool overlooking the valley. The pool is actually part of the Spa and is an extra 45 Euros per person per day to access it. If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked this hotel as it was a 2 hour drive from Aya Napa just to get here. The pricing model needs to change, or the description of the room needs to be clarified. Was disappointed for sure.

Lovely hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night to celebrate our 25th anniversary and had a lovely time. We ate at the restaurant on site- Byzantino; the food was lovely and the staff were very courteous and attentive.

We only stayed for 1 night so did not book any treatments in the spa but thought that as guests we would be able to use the pool but this was only available if you had booked at the spa which was a bit of a shame as there was no other pool around and it was a very hot day.

We would love to return on our next visit to Cyprus.

A mountain paradise

Stunning little village with the hotel rooms tastefully distributed amongst the old houses. Great to just stop and relax in the library or enjoy the nature trails. Would have been good if it had been clearer that use of sauna and whirlpool costs extra.

Avoid the restaurant at all cost!!!

The service at the Byzantino restaurant is a total disaster. The girls working there have no clue about food and service. I am allergic to cheese so I asked Maria (the waitress) if there was any cheese in the dishes I ordered. She said \"no\". I got suspicious when I received my plate, so I asked again to another waitress (a blond one), she replied that there was no cheese nor cream. Since I did not really want to die, I asked them to check again with the chef. They came back to me and said: <<Sir... it is not cheese, it is yoghurt, so you can eat!>>, I had to calm my girlfriend who wanted to hit the waitress. Obviously none of the girls knew how cheese is made and both tried to poison me!!! The worst thing is that none of them apologized, as they were both laughing together in their corner away from the table. One of them came back to the table and said <<don't worry you will not pay for it!>>. Other than that the food is average and I suggest taking your sandwich with you...Too bad because the hotel is great.

We had a wonderful stay my only complaint was we had a room which was on two levels, the bedroom upstairs and kitchen , lounge, bathroom Etc downstairs. It was a lovely set up but because of the hot weather and the only air condition being downstairs upstairs remained hot... Which was very comfortable....
Would stay here again though but maybe in a cooler month.

Stay was pleasant although we had a blackout for an hour or so.
Generally village is amazing and picturesque, hotel is cozy and clean BUT - quite overpriced. Our room was tiny and smelled the old pipes. The village worth visiting but the hotel we will not choose again.
