Staff were helpful and went out of their way to help.
Reception knew my room number daily when I returned to collect my key.

Great service! Although we initially faced some booking issues that took a while to resolve, the staff was incredibly accommodating and handled the situation with great warmth and professionalism.
To make up for the wait, we were upgraded to a family suite, which has been fantastic. We love having our own kitchenette and a private veranda where we can enjoy the peace and quiet. The hotel offered breathtaking views.
The location is unbeatable—the property is right beachfront and just a short walk to a local store, making it easy to grab supplies to cook in our suite. We’ve had such a wonderful experience that we will definitely be back!\"

Directly on the beach, restaurant had excellent food. The staff was amazing. They assisted with booking tours, all of which were thoroughly enjoyable. Our flights were rearranged AFTER we checked out, so we were left with a full day with no where to go. We took a cab back to Smugglers Cove and they accommodated us with access to all amenities and storage for our luggage for the full day at NO charge. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall it’s a nice facility, it’s clean, staff are great and it’s a cheap place to stay close to airport. However, you get what you pay for. Beware that dorm bunk beds are very close together. No privacy curtains, no towels provided, lights often are turned on and off through the night so people on top bunk (especially) get woken up. During the day staff (sometimes men) just walk in/ out of room … door slams and light is turned on with no regard to anyone that might be sleeping because of a long flight. Lastly there were 2 nights (at 2:30 am and 5:00 am) where people were loudly talking and laughing for quite a while in the main lobby right outside the dorms … of course everyone was woken up.

The minuses: walls are paper thin -- I could hear the bloke in the room next door snoring all night long, and I could hear a lot of street noise; the wifi didn't really work at all.

This is a hostel. Paid for the 4 person dorm, there was an apparent “glitch” and was put in a dorm with 20 others. Restaurant staff are great. The beach is not ideal for swimming or leisure. Lots of hustlers infront and on beach. Book a boat port Denarau and stay on one of the islands, not worth spending your holiday at smugglers.

Easy to meet friends and chill out.
There was live music on a few nights. A fire dance.

This was a perfect spot to spend a 15-hr layover with two young children (ages 2 and 7)! It was an affordable taxi ride to/from the airport-- $25 USD. We arrived early in the morning (8am) and were welcomed warmly and given a place to store our bags until check-in at 2pm. We ordered breakfast, sat on the beach, used the pool, and relaxed until our room was ready. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a delicious market and Korean restaurant within walking distance in addition to the on-site dining options. Staff called our taxi for us when it was time to head back to the airport. Not super fancy, but clean, comfortable, and accommodating the whole time we were there. We will certainly consider staying again in the future for long layovers in Fiji!

We paid for a deluxe room and were initially put into a small room with frosted windows and a broken handle on the window. After complaining we were put into a much nicer room with a balcony that overlooked the dining area and beach. The downside of this was very loud music from next door until 10 and then being awakened by a group of loud people playing music at 2 am. The resort staff weren’t too interested in doing anything about it despite our many complaints. This occurred every night we were there. The manager was very good and sympathetic, but it occurred that night too. Lovely grounds, view, and good restaurant, but we wouldn’t stay again.

The pictures from the property were cropped. Our hotel room had an inch of dust under the bed, the window had an alleyview above the kitchen that smelled like grease. We had green mold on the windows and haze. I thought this was a resort, it was for backpackers and a stop over, but with high prices. We could have stayed at the Crown Plaza for just a bit more money and had a clean and holiday experience. We did not see a spa, the pool is right off the walk out resturant and small and cold. The beach wasn't swimmable. We made the best of it, but others on different tourist places couldn't believe what we paid for... the prices should be half. The people working at the desk are wonderful and friendly and that is why we stayed and didn't complain. One day we came home and our room was unlocked. Nothing was missing. Also, they should have signs up to remind tourists not to drink the water. It is also not all inclusive, breakfast is not included.

We had a fantastic stay at Smugglers Beach Resort! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The resort has a laid-back island vibe with beautiful beachfront views and plenty of space to relax and unwind.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved being able to walk straight onto the beach and watch the sunset each evening. The on-site restaurant offered tasty meals, and the breakfast was good. The last day we didn't get to have breakfast because the Chef did not turn up to work, it would have been nice to have been advised so we can go eat breakfast at another hotel nearby.

Overall a great stay.

Great view from the balcony of the sunset suite. Good pricepoint for 6 person apartment. No elevator/lift so walked up and down 2 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Found a cockroach a day. Music from bar always died down by 10pm. Pots all overused. Sharp knives broken at tips. Comfy beds. Great air conditioning. Usefull pool. Good firedancing. Service for meals slow and dissjointed but food tasty for pricepoint.

No complaints about the food, drinks & the service out on the deck area. But the room comfort was bad & unfortunately I didn’t realise the problems till going to bed. The mattress nearly had springs poking through on one side, slept on the other side but it had a huge slump in the middle, aircon was noisy, lot of light spill over at top of curtains, TV really didn’t work & only 3 channels, one ceiling light once hot turned off, cooled down turned on, off on off on etc. Bed side cabinet drawer wouldn’t stay closed, perfect to skin your leg on, sorted that with a bit of tape. Complained next day & they gave me a new room, but ceiling panels had gaps. Mosquitoes a bit of worry but I took a mozzi repellent device with me so that was sorted. The 2nd room’s light coming in over the top of the curtains was even worse. Though I’d have an afternoon nap, needed it but room next door was having tiles ripped up. Around the hotel the toilet bowls needed a good scrub.
They chose the wrong person to put in a non renovated room!
