The facility needs to be updated; it was a step back in time. like the early 2000's. I stayed 2 nights with a different room each night. The last night I was there the AC was off and the room had a musty smell when I arrived. It took a while to get the room cooled off. The next morning, I got up and left to return home and along the trip my right leg and my left waist under my shorts started itching like I had been bitten by a bug. Looked up info on the internet and saw pictures of bedbugs. The places on my body looked just like bedbugs. I will never stay there again!

Photos on website and Expedia are not representative of what you will find. Conditions of the room were horrible. Cracks all over the room in walls, tub cracked, foot prints on walls, paint on walls discolored by not cleaning and just stacking debris and dirt. Room door looked to have been kicked in at the bottom. 10 out of 10 do not recommend.

The check-in person was extremely nice very helpful! When I walked into the room, it looked like the floor had not been cleaned. When I pulled back the bedspread the pillows cases and sheets were stained. I don’t know whether they have been washed or not. The remote was broken and they had batteries taped in it. There were gnats in the room, and as I was leaving I saw a huge ant crawling across the floor. Not my best check in will certainly glad to leave..

The room was clean and did not smell like stale cigarette smoke (only room available was a smoking room). Irritating to have to run the air conditioning all night--but that is par for the course in many hotels these days. Staff was friendly and efficient. Location for my activities was pretty convenienr

The lamps and tub had rust on them, ceiling was cracked and was pilling, only one roll of toilet paper, and the floors were not clean. My 8 year old's white socks were very dirty after walking around the room.

I chose this hotel because it was the best price and deal for a short stay to checkout the Scottsboro Boys Museum and the Unclaimed Baggage Store. It’s centrally located and what it lacks in luster is made up comfort. The room was clean, I love that there was no carpet, the microwave and mini fridge were immaculately cleaned. I felt a bit sketchy when I pulled up but Rob at the front desk was easy to check in with and all in all the location was safer than I anticipated as a solo traveler.

Filthy, noisy, and temperature control did not work. Clean and comfortable is a minimum requirement. Never again would I book a Motel 6. Apparently they do not have any quality control.

Property is very dated but clean. Everything worked. Only repairs I saw that were needed were cosmetic. Staff was helpful and willing to answer questions. There was no breakfast or coffee in the lobby even though Horel.com advertised that it was offerer. No shampoo or bady wash in the shower. All we were given was a tiny bar of soap and tiny bottle of shampoo.

You get what you pay for

The staff was friendly and accommodating. However it looks like they might be living there along with others which is fine except when I’m on vacation I don’t want to walk around someone’s house plants/trash on the balcony nor do I want to come in to people grilling in the parking lot. My dog who is terrified of fireworks had to endure 3 hours of fireworks being shot from the balcony and parking lot. It’s a motel 6 so we didn’t expect much but it was all that was left on 4th of July weekend. If people are going to live there they should put traveling guests on one side and let the people who live there stay on the other side. The pillows are very uncomfortable and the bed had a sheet and very paper thin blanket. You could see through it. The people who work there were nice and we didn’t have any issues with check in our out. The room was clean enough but it’s kinda of run down so I’m sure the staff does the best they can. Parking is good if you have a boat which is why we came to the area so we could fish. AC was cold and everything worked. Looks like the staff does a good job but I’d rather not book a hotel where people are living full time.

All around nasty

Found blood stain and other stains on mattress in the first room. Went down stairs and asked for another room. Front desk attendant got upset. Second room still nasty. Unable to get a refund for not staying a second night. Seemed to be a problem for asking for more towels. This experience has made me lose trust in motel 6. Will NEVER go back to another motel 6 again.

I got what I paid for.

The room and furniture were pretty banged up with dings and scratches. The refrigerator was filthy. Small amounts of black mold in all the joints and cracks in the bathroom. Some guest before me had put cigarette butts in the sink. I removed enough for the sink to drain. Front desk clerk was very nice and friendly.

I booked a king deluxe non smoking room and wanted to give me a double room instead that was a smoking room. ALSO, at checkout time, I still had 10 minutes to check out, and I still had stuff to get out since I was traveling with pets, the cleaning lady came to my room, and walked inside the room to start stripping the beds while I was still loading stuff to the car! I Have Stayed in Far Worse Hotels...

It seems that they have just opened and are trying to fix the place up.... My only issue mainly was the spiderwebs in the corner of the doors and windows. Other than that these people seem to be hard at work running the place. I was comfortable with my stay.
