The Sneem hotel is an average tourist hotel, neither bad nor good. But while the staff are attentive, the hotel is in need of attention. For example, there are numerous cob webs in the restaurant where the curtain are torn; cleanliness is also an area warranting attention, both in our room and more generally in the hotel. The list is long of areas that have been neglected. On the plus side, the food is good overall, although the breakfast buffet is in need of improvement.

Sizeable hotel in lovely grounds. Clean, large room. One window glass needed replacing as the double glazing no longer was clear (condensation damage internal to the glass) - this inhibited the view. Considering this isa 4 star hotel, I thought the lack of attention to detail was poor. Several examples: firstly, in the room,only one type of teabag, instant coffee and I’d have expected slippers and robes. Secondly we ate dinner there twice and on neither occasion where we asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee, though we noticed this was offered to some other customers. Finally, upon arrival at check-in, the receptionist managed not to look at my partner at all. She was completely unacknowledged as the receptionist addressed me only and, though my partner and I discussed what time we should check in for breakfast in front of her, she continued to stare intently at me only, ignoring there were two of us. This felt very rude and exclusionary, as well as unwelcoming.

Great hotel on Ring of Kerry. Very clean with impressive views. After traveling the morning from Cork we spent a little time in Killarney for breakfast followed by Ross Castle( Jaunting/boat) then watched sheep dog demo at Kissane sheep farm. Perfect full day which got us at to hotel by 5pm with some break time before dinner in Sneem which is adorable, then drinks back at hotel watching sunset. The water view is spectacular. Hotel was perfect location for rest and relaxation after a full day of site seeing. Staff was friendly, rooms large and after having smaller bathrooms in previous stops was nice have more room! Great Hotel and perfect for our itinary.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! Firstly the views were absolutely amazing. Breakfast was delicious—we had the full Irish and really enjoyed it. The rooms are a little dated in terms of decor, but they were very spacious and, most importantly, very clean.
What really made our stay special, though, was Carlos. This was our first trip away with our newborn, and he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He helped us sterilise bottles, which made a huge difference and took a lot of stress off us. We also arrived quite late and missed the dinner service, but Carlos kindly put together a sandwich for both me and my partner. His helpfulness truly stood out and made our experience all the more memorable.

The location sells this hotel, but unfortunately my experience was marred by ridiculous noises coming from the (switched off) air-conditioning unit during the small hours...and the quality of the breakfast wasn't at 4* standards - poor choices of cereal, and cold poached eggs were served.

The sea view side alone is worth the visit. Very spacious rooms. Decent food options for lunch - but if you have halal/kosher restrictions might want to eat out instead. Breakfast was great. Staff were nice and friendly. Server speeds at the dining table may shock you if you're from NA (makes sense since they don't rely on tips), but they are still reasonable and on par with EU standards/expectations so please be patient on that front. Very convenient parking space, beautiful location with every local restaurants/shopping places within walking distance. If I ever come back to Ireland for another visit, this place is a must-stay at for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brief overnight stay at Sneem Hotel! Very friendly and accommodating staff, and the bar/dining area was nice. Breakfast was outstanding! The cleanliness was mostly great, though some room service items were left in the hallway overnight and there were some signs of minor wear and tear. Generally would love to return and stay longer!

Beautiful hotel, great price. Rooms were stunning and gorgeous grounds. Lovely breakfast and had dinner in the bar one night which was lovely. Staff were so helpful on check in giving loads of information about things to do in the area and the bar staff were so helpful when my partner wanted a football match on. Only negative was the aircon unit in our room didn't work. But on all would 100% recommend and stay again.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, the 5 minute stroll into sneem was ideal. We ate in the hotel some nights and had lovely dinners there and other nights we went into sneem for dinner. We could have dinner, a few drinks and walk back with ice creams, lovely. The fairy trail was a huge hit with the kids. We had a brilliant stay, in a lovely, modern, spotless room.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to Ian in the bar, we detoured to the cliffs of Kerry which we thought were better in terms of viewing areas than the cliffs of Moher.

Wait staff in the dining hall were unpleasant and inattentive. We sat at a table with crumbs and food on the table from the guests before. I asked if we could have it cleaned off, and the server was obnoxiously lazy with it. He seemed annoyed and just did not care about our experience. There was no attentiveness or pleasantries with the other servers either.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sneem Hotel. Beautiful setting, nice accommodations. Had AC which was nice, since it was unusually warm. Keep in mind there is really nothing else in Sneem, but this was a nice point for us to stay that gave us great access to things around the Ring of Kerry for 2 days. And we also did a Skellig Michael tour out of Portmagee while there too. Would highly recommend this hotel to Everyone!!!

Hotel is beautifully located within walking distance of Sneem city centre. I spent my birthday here. The staff were inviting and the locals were as well. If you want to get the full feeling of Ireland you cant miss this hidden gem! I added pics of the views outside our room. Enjoy! We did!
