Lovely Hotel that is located on the town square, facilities were good, apart from the hotel bar never opening. We booked 3 room’s, 2 were good, 1 was small with a tiny shower! But apart from the tiny shower and closed bar a great hotel with great staff.

A great base for visiting the battlefields.

We had a 3 night stay inorder to visit some of the W.W.1 battlefields and the museum. The hotel was in an ideal location in the centre of town but very quiet at night! Although there was no car park, on street parking was available around the corner without any problems. The only downside was on our arrival after a long days driving, we were told that the hotel's restaurant was fully booked and we had to go outside to find somewhere to eat and the town offered limited choice on a Monday night. I would suggest that you phone ahead a couple of days prior to arrival to secure a table if you want to eat at the hotel. Overall, a most pleasing stay and we would happily return.

Visited Peronne for Armistice 2018. Hotel was pleasantly clean, the room well proportioned, and breakfast basic but adequate. The only downside was that there were very few restaurants open.... we struggled to find somewhere to eat, but eventually found something that was remarkably good.

Fabulous hotel next to the War Museum.

Great location for visiting WW1 sites - literally next to the big museum. Parking is free in a little carpark 2 mins walk away. All other sites a short drive away. Hotel staff were all lovely and very accommodating. The room was immaculate and very large (we had a family room). The restaurant was great - food delicious.

Hotel needs to provide better and more detailed instructions on how to locate as the entrance is down a side street off the square and there is no “Best Western” signage on the hotel. It is known as the Hotel St Claude by locals. Great location in historical centre, several restaurants and WW1 museum 100m. The handle on our bathroom was broken. Front desk already seemed to know about this when reported.

Great stopover experience in historic town

My family and I had a great stay in this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we had a huge room that had a really modern design style with 3 single beds and a pull out sofa bed. The building itself is quite old which is apparent from the winding misshapen corridors but this just added to the charm for us. Breakfast was included as a simple continental selection with some hot eggs and bacon. The hotel itself is situated right next to a 9th century fort which has a tonne of history and is gorgeous. The town had a bunch of nice little restaurants for a meal and everyone was very friendly. A perfect stopover on the travel back through France to the EuroTunnel.

A great hotel for visiting The Great War sights

The hotel is in the centre of the town of Peronne and within a pedestrian only street. There are plenty of good local shops, bars and restaurants close by if needed. Free parking is available close to the hotel as well.
The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful and the room was of a good size and standard.
The purpose of the trip was to visit the sites of WW1 and this was made easier due to the proximity to the Somme area and other road connections. The sites around Ypres were only a 90 minute drive away.
I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on another trip to this region.

A one night stay as a base to explore the local area, we arrived late on a Saturday evening. We were unable to find anywhere locally to serve us an evening meal, but the wonderful hotel staff re-opened their restaurant and served us a fantastic meal (even catering for our difficult vegetarians), all with warmth and outstanding service. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

lovely hotel close to museaum in Peronne

I thought this hotel was perfect for a 3 star hotel, great location just around the corner from the WW1 museum, just off the town square, easy walking to restaurants, cafe and boulangerie. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and a lovely breakfast, very tasty, not a huge range but adequate and nicely done eggs and bacon so perfect. Ignore comments from others. This hotel is in an old building and rooms rennovated around the original building, very high ceilings, character rooms and stair case, free pool table downstairs. Stayed with my parents and small child and they put us in rooms on the same floor so perfect for our needs. We were there to visit the CWG grave site in Peronne. I also enjoyed a walk around the lake and took my son to the park to play while granparents visited the museum

Not a good place to stay at all at the moment

We were greeted I felt with rudeness by the manager (who was there evening and morning). Every request was met with grudging acquiescence. The hotel was in fact int he process of renovation, but this was no real excuse for the state of service and the place generally. . You should sack the painters who are painting onto uncleaned and dirty walls. It looked pretty cursory job and you should send and inspector to check up on what is going on. There is builders mess around The access to the rooms up a bare staircase and onto dirty carpet was just plain depressing. We cancelled breakfast as we would not have enjoyed remaining int he hot for moment longer than was necessary for our sleep. We were two tired cyclists who had traveled long way. My friend had stayed int he hotel before with hs wife but this time we were both completely appalled by the state of the place and the surly service.

Being right off the town centre on a Saturday night, it was a little noisy.
Good close places to eat. Difficulty with parking on Saturday morning as you have to compete with the towns market and are asked to move further down past the church.
Great if wanting to visit the French/Australian museum re WW1 as its less than 5 minutes walk

Loved the location and the parking was nearby. The staff were outstanding. We experienced a power outage in the whole town and despite this, we were served a wonderful light dinner after trying to find any restaurant in town that was open. Wonderful experience in one of France's undiscovered backroads.

Disappointing Hotel undergoing refurbishment.

We arrived in the evening to discover that our booking had not been picked up because staff had failed to check the hotel's email from expedia. No disabled room was available since we had to make to with a choice of the last two rooms in the hotel.
There was only a tiny amount of loo roll which ran out so we had to ask reception for more.
The general standard of the hotel was poor with a general sense of shabby uncleanliness.
The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment (how much will be done was unclear) so I would steer well clear for at least 6 months.

We stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids) on our way back from the alps as a geographically convenient stop over prior to catching the tunnel home. The town itself has obviously seen better days and seemed to be full of male oriented boozers. There is no parking at the hotel so you have to either cart all your luggage into the hotel or park down a backstreet or on the market square (disc parking at most times) or leave all but an overnight bag in your car, which made me uncomfortable. The hotel itself is quite shabby, the beds being particularly uncomfortable. However, it was clean and we were made welcome. As somewhere to lay your head for the night, it's ok, but if that's all you want, an Ibis or Mercure would do a better job and for a better room rate.

A good base for visiting the area

The hotel is once, comfortable and close to most of the Somme sites for those looking to do day trips. For the larger (as in taller) folk, the bathrooms are a bit tight for showering in, and the toilet was right up against the wall. The hotel appears to be doing some renovations, which in the wing where I stayed feels needed. However, as a place to relax and unwind after a day out, it is good and priced relatively well. The restaurant is quite good, and well priced, breakfast is a standard affair but well prepared and good to start the day with.

We had a tripple room which was a good size and well furnished if somewhat '90’s in style. The beds were comfortable and the shower over the bath was fine with plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and everything was very clean. This hotel is practical and welcoming and the square it sits to one side of is charming architecturally and atmospherically. There is a lovely restaurant with tables that spill out onto the cobbles and which serves a great varied menu of well priced food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was an excellent location from which to explore the Somme.

Good location in Peronne and the staff were polite and helpful. The bed was uncomfortable and the decor was dreary. Don't have breakfast at this hotel. There is no service, it is just laid out in the restaurant. The food was uninteresting and not appetizing, at 10 Euros it seemed rather overpriced. The decor of the dining was unattractive, there is no way I would have an evening meal there, but that is no problem as there are plenty of places to eat in Peronne.

Our stay was fine all though we were disappointed with the room there was no tea or coffee making facility's in the room . The shower was not up to our standard. We had to ask for extra bath towels . Although there was a t-v in the room there was not one English Chanel to watch! I do not think that I would return to the st Claude hotel although the hote,l is well situated it doesn't appear ito be English friendly

On Town Square Good Base for Somme tour

The hotel is a good jump off point for the Somme world war 1 tours. It is on the town square with plenty of eating places near by. Monday is difficult to find restaurants' open but the hotel restaurant is open. The hot breakfast is ordinary with cold and dry eggs and cold sausage.

Personeel was erg vriendelijk, sprak goed Engels. Het was erg rustig in het hotel. We wilden graag wat drinken, er waren beneden geen gasten in de lounge/ bar. Licht stond uit, maar dat was geen probleem. Tap werd aangezet, we kregen wat nootjes en we konden ook nog op de binnenplaats zitten. Meubilair buiten was wel aan vervanging toe. Maar het zag er gezellig uit. Om 2200 vertrok receptioniste. We kregen code zodat we weer het hotel in konden, mochten we besluiten om naar andere bar te gaan.

We hadden een kwartier voor aankomst een familiekamer geboekt , we konden meteen onze kamer in.
De vloeren en trappen liepen wat scheef, maar alles was netjes en sfeervol.
Net als onze kamer.

Eigenlijk een modern hotel in een historisch gebouw.
We waren alleen vergeten te checken of onze kamer airco had. Het was nl. een warme nacht, rond 23gr. en we zaten op de 2e verdieping. Er kon een raam open, maar er zat geen hor in.
Er stond ook een tafelventilator, maar deze maakte wat geluid dus we besloten deze uit te zetten en raam dicht te doen. Waardoor we helaas een bloedhete nacht hadden en daardoor niet uitgerust waren.

Bed was oké, naar mijn smaak een iets hard matras.

Maar het ontbijt maakte het helemaal goed. 23 euro voor 3 personen. Met volop verse producten.
In een sfeervolle omgeving.

Aan de overkant gegeten bij le Central.
Brasserie, pizzeria.

Het was lekker, maar mijn man had een kipspies besteld, die erg lekker was, maar wel weinig. Daarentegen wel veel patat.

Très bon accueil à l’hôtel.
Je trouve dommage que les parties communes soient vieillottes mise à part ça la chambre est très bien et confortable.

Seul regret est que la chambre n’est pas climatisée par ces fortes chaleurs.
Un ventilateur est tout de même à disposition dans la chambre.
