No kitchen in our room, had a toaster, microwave, jug, fridge but no place to wash dishes except for a very small sink in bathroom. Nice new block out curtains, bed comfy, pillows were not. No table and chairs but it did have a 2 seater couch. Only place in town that served food was the pub.

The self-check in was a breeze, but our accommodation was the only one without a sign to point the way. But luckily it was in one of the front cottages so easy to find. Very basic room, but really close to Sealink ferry to KI. The frig in our room froze all our food overnight (and we got there after 7pm).
Pillows were hard as rocks, but bed was fine.

Their cafe is closed but they gave a great recommendation- the Cape Jervis Tavern. Recommend if you need a bite.

Worst thing about our room was the black bugs in the bathroom- I counted 14 when I got up to use the facilities that night. Cleaned them up, made sure all suitcases were closed tight, and went back to bed. Sure enough more were there in the morning- although not as many. A couple also in main room. Gross!

At first, they gave us the oldest unit, which was not very suitable for a one-day stay, but then they changed it and gave us another place, which was new, but it was completely full of insects, mice under the beds, and dirty things from previous travelers that had not been cleaned. I do not recommend it, even for one night.

The unit was an older style. There was no light over the dining table and the bathroom had an unpleasant odour. It was quite spacious and had all the necessary essentials. We were contacted regarding a cap they found but it wasn’t hours. It was nice to know they would contact you if property was left behind.

Good location for ferry to Kangaroo Island.
Room comfortable but not equipped for longer stay. We arrived at 8 at night and left 9 next more so didn't spend much time there.
Room comes with dishes but no kitchen sink. Have to wash dishes in bathroom!

No internet. Facilities need upgrade. Spiders everywhere in house. The only plus point is if you are boarding ferry to Kangaroo Island early morning, this property is 5 minutes drive away.

Nice place to stay. I had a little cottage which was very basic, but it had everything I needed for a 2 day stay. The only annoying thing was that the bed was on wheels so it moves around a lot on the hard floor.

Close to Sealink Ferry terminal, only an hour from Victor Harbour. Easy booking and after hours check in. Very welcoming had heater and lights on for our late check in. Overall very good. The only downside was the lack of outside lights even some sensor lights would have helped

Sadly my room (homestead 7) stunk of mould which made my over night stay really horrible.
I will say, they beds are so comfy BUT the pillows are HUGE so if you like a normal size pillow better bring your own.

Beautiful little cabin, quite sweet. Didn't get a chance to look around site.
Only small issue was staff too busy making beds in the morning to sell me breakfast packs of bread and juice- I was setting off for a 5 day trek and my partner and small child needed to drive to Victor Harbour for breakfast and I went without. A small act of kindness would have been appreciated.

This place is amazing. Ideal for a family stay with plenty to do for the kids.
Unfortunately we arrived a bit late.
However, the self service check in, after a
having pre booked, worked well.
Our room, Homestead 5, was spacious and clean. The whole building has been modernised and converted into a number of accommodation units.
True country style experience.

Great place to stay.

We stayed at the railway cottage. It was very clean, well kept and enough space for a family of 4. This place was our pit stop after a trip from KI and before heading back to Melbourne and we were very happy that we stayed here. We will definitely stay longer next time and enjoy what Cape Jervis has to offer.

We stayed there just one night before taking the morning ferry to Kangaroo Island. Forgot to let them know we wouldn’t be there until past midnight. We were a bit scared we‘d have to sleep in the car by 8 degrees and rain after a late flight & a 1.5hr drive with 3 kids. What a relief when there was an envelope with our name & direction to the cottage! Heater was on AND every bed had an electric blanket. Loved that they converted an old railway car to a cottage. Would have loved to stay longer

The staff on Sunday were very friendly and welcoming.
We had dinner in the Restaurant which was excellent but when we walked back to our room (homestead 4) it Was very dark with no lighting. Thanks to our phone and a thoughtful person shining their car lights we got back but lighting along the way would be better.

Accommodation consists of converted farm dwellings on what used to be a sheep station. Rustic setting with shearer's quarters, cottages and van sites. On site licensed bistro with moderately priced, good quality food and drink. Welcoming hosts and staff. We chose this place as it was conveniently located to Kangaroo Island ferry terminal.

Perfect for a One Night Stay

We stayed the one night after driving down from Adelaide as we had an early ferry the next morning. We arrived late, about quarter to 9 so the lovely lady had prepared for us arriving after the 9pm cut off which included drawing us a map to help us find our accommodation, and turning the lights on in the cottage.

Our room was spacious and clean and had a small kitchen along with the two couches and bed.

Cape Jervis itself is tiny, but if you have an early morning ferry departure or late afternoon ferry arrival this is the perfect place to spend the night.

The place needs maintenance and upgrade for the cost charged. Footpaths needs to be concrete so dirt will not get into rooms.
