Spider webs stains in curtains water in tub wouldn't completely shut off. No continental breakfast. Smelled stale and old. Wall paper pealing. Outside looked terrible and un inviting. Back hurts from the bed almost 36 hrs later. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone... personally would like a full refund..

Think twice before reserving.

Quite a challenge trying to figure out lobby entrance.
Walked perimeter of building to find it, as all doors are locked (well its secured).
Leave it to one bad egg to ruin it for all, upon checking in was informed room deposit of $100 for damages.
Checked into room, reserved for 2 occupants, only received one set of bath linens. Really outdated and very noticeable wear and tear on establishment. Got 4 hours of sleep, lots of noise outside.
Was already up at 450 am due to uncomfortable bed and outside noise. Left at 0500 am to get back on road, sadly continental breakfast starts at 0700 and lobby locked so slid door key card under door with note requesting email receipt due to business trip.

They asked for $100 deposit when I checked in I already spending $169 then they want another 100 plus the key they gave me to get in the side doors didn’t it was around 10:30pm all doors were locked I rang door bell somebody came to open door then he yelled at me I told him key don’t work then he tried after that he blamed me for having key near cell phone
I couldn’t sleep so just left after that

The refrigerator didn't work. I was in a hurry after I checked in to get somewhere so I did not call the desk. Also the Ice machine wasn't working in the building I was in. Gave up trying to get into the other building. Still, the price was reasonable and it was a good stay.

I will not stay here again. This hotel was absolutely disgusting. It smelled terrible, there was no hot water, the wifi did not work. The building was not secured the outside doors to the building I stayed in had the security door lock but neither of them worked. This place was disgusting!

Older motel, supplied refrig. was not cooling, bathroom layout was very inconvenient, and ceiling was dripping water from room above. Continental breakfast was acceptable but nothing to brag about. Manager was friendly, but neighboring room was very noisy. Our stay was tolerable, but not great. Room for 2 came with only 1 set of towel, hand towel & washcloth.

If you have low standards and only need sleep.

I initially stayed two nights for work. My first impression was its outdated, ran down and a little sketchy. The room seemed clean but nothing extensive. I under it was late. I arrive at 11:58 and stand at th locked front door(?) for 10 mins. A sign said ring the bell, so I did 3 times over those 10 mins and no response. Then I go to my hotel info and call. He answer but was unaware of any reservations and sounded like he had been sleeping. It seems this hotel is ran by only one man. Mildly Impressd if so..first the mirrors were all dirty Keep in mind one whole wall is a set of mirrors. Room service brought towel but didn't clean or make the bed. I used the hotel for sleep so I didn't check the tv...Although I checked the alarm clock and it didn't work.
I had to stay another night so I gave the Knight Inn again...
I by chance get the same room, as the two nights before. I open the room and put my things down. I notice not one of the 3 mirrors had been cleaned nor the crumbs of food I left behind the night before. The whole wall of mirrors must have had 10-15 hand prints all over it. So who knows when they cleaned that last. Lastly I wanted to watch tv before bed..it didn't work also. Oh ya and Wifi or lack there of. He gave me the same slip yo get wifi each night and either worked...

Do not pay money to stay here.

Train tracks basically go through the rear parking lot and even though place was nearly empty, I was placed in rear of building. Hotel was currently being re-roofed and again, even though nearly empty I was placed directly under section being roofed (luckily I needed to be up and leaving early, otherwise could have used the roofers as an alarm clock). Wifi did not work, after several attempts by manager to \"reboot modem\" I gave up (basically, there is no wifi). Pool is empty and full of trash. Broken down vehicles with broken out windows in parking lot. A/C only worked on HIGH or OFF, no in between. Carpet is old & dirty with tears and burns. Towels are a new \"low\" in my horrible-hotel-towel-experience (and I've had used some horrible towels in my day).

At least the bed linens were clean.

Again, Do not pay money to stay here.

The hotel is falling apart, it is very outdated. The front desk person was very rude, he followed us all the way to the side door and did not allow us back in the hotel because we had kids. He started yelling at us in front of our kids saying no kids allowed, you got to go, get a refund from where you booked. We said okay, we will get a refund but he continued to yell and make a bigger scene it was very hard to understand him as he does not speak clear English. We were glad to be out of there but it left our kids very confused they kept asking us why was that man so mean, and why did he not want kids in the hotel. We were not treated with any respect at all, Horrible experience for a hotel that is in that shape. Never again.

Hotel very old, carpets in bad shape, had to change room, requested non smoking and was given smoking, no problem to change. Parking lot was like a war zone with holes everywhere, a bit of a challenge to drive around. Breakfast was in the tornado shelter very dark, milk was out dated today. It was not that cheap compared with other and better facilities, no I would not recommend to others. Fridge had to be turned by a staff member as was the A/C. Did not work that good, no coffee m/c, could not get Internet to connect.

Our Fault somehow we booked a Smoking room. However, We also booked a non smoking room in another hotel that obviously someone smoked in and it wasn't like this. THIS ROOM STUNK!!!! I use a CPAP Machine that filters air and I was stuck with Smoke smell embedded in it till I got home 5 days later and could change the filter. The Towels were miniature, RUFF and SCRATCHY! When we arrived they first claimed they were closed, then they were full, then we didn't have a reservation. Then he was like \"Oh, it's through Hotels.com\" (JUST WEIRD!) We did ask if we could get a Non-Smoking room. But he said they didn't have any. We went to the store and bought Freebreeze. TRUST ME IT DIDN'T HELP! I took pictures of the mirror in-case I could upload them for the review. The Smoke Stains on the Glass, Lighting fixtures and Walls was disgusting. The Carpet was badly worn (all though not all the way through). We also purchased BLEACH and sprayed down the Toilet and Shower Stall and eve the floor. Used one of the wash cloth size hand towels to wide things down and it was filthy.

Very good bargain

This is an older property, but quite well maintained. The road leading to the hotel from the freeway is currently under construction (Oct. 2014), so you will need to take a detour, and it can be difficult to find. It's obviously not a five-star hotel, but you will get a clean place to sleep. Other reviews have commented on the train, since the hotel is close to the tracks. I didn't notice it at all, although I was on the other side of the building. There were very few guests, so unless there's some big event going on, you shouldn't have trouble finding a quiet room. My room didn't have a fridge, coffee maker, or microwave, although there is a microwave available for use.

We don't recommend this hotel

To begin, the hotel looks shabby from the outside and that carries over inside. There was an odor that my husband noticed in the lobby immediately. He mentioned it to me and the gentleman asked about it so my husband told him. Our room was OK. The three good things about the hotel is that the heat worked well, the internet was strong, and the coffee in the room was excellent.
However, the toilet wouldn't flush (and we notice this was a complaint from someone who stayed there in 2012.) We told them about it and they fixed it during the day. The continental breakfast was pathetic with cold pastries. The staff were hardly ever in site. When I went to check out, the man came out of a room in his pajamas to take my key. I think this hotel is owned by a man and his wife (she does not seem to speak any English) and that it. On this trip we stayed in three hotels. Both were better and cheaper than this one.

Checked to have the help tell us the water just got turned on so we would have to run the water to clear the pipes. It was BROWN, wish they had done that before we got in the room. My daughter has JRA and needs extra blankets. That request was met by \"how many people are staying in that room\". We were visited by a few family members so I guess we all were sleeping there!?! NOT! Later we needed a hair dryer and when our family friend showed up with a hair dryer in his police uniform we suddenly got that extra pillow and blanket! Not going to stay there ever again.

When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was difficult to understand and didn't go over anything about why I was being charged another $50, he just kept saying it wasn't getting charged to my card. I asked then why did you swipe my card if it's not going on the card and how long will it take to get refunded? No response. I also asked when or where the breakfast was, no directions to where it was going to be served but I did get told it was from 630-930. The pool wasn't filled due to repairs that weren't getting done, and when I got into bed that night, there was cigarette burns in the fitted sheet. The air conditioner wasn't blowing out cool air either.

My only complaint was a toilet that had low water pressure. It had to be flushed more than once after a use. This was more of an aggravation than anything, but plumbing is one of those things that should be flawless.

The place was clean and the desk man was courteous. The room was good, aside from the above. It came equipped with the refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot in the room.

The outdoor pool was not yet filled.

I have stayed at this motel several times. It is an older facility, so expect older carpet, TV's, bedspread and furniture. But, if you're looking for a place to lay your head and get some sleep, it can give you that.

The hotel was advertised with a hot breakfast (even on the hotel info paper in the room), but only cold cereal and a muffin available. The sink drain was backed up, which would be obvious to the cleaning staff when they would clean the sink; so poor attention to basic details.

I'm sure the couple that owns this hotel are usually nice, but I wasn't that impressed with their hospitality over the phone. They were lovely when I got there in person though. Room is a little scary. there were some holes in my door that were stuffed with a napkin and covered with a sign. The shower stall (no bathtub) was filthy with lots of scum on the door and mold in the corners. Yikes on the big wall of mirrors too. The location is convenient right off of Hwy 75, but I'm thinking this is the \"other side of the tracks\" for S Sioux City. I was a little concerned about my car in the parking lot overnight, but nothing happened thank god.

Typical problems for a budget motel

It wasn’t an unpleasant stay because we had pretty low expectations, but it was pretty typical for a budget-priced motel.

Upkeep and design in our room weren’t great: the sink didn’t drain very fast, one of the plug sockets didn’t work, the drapes hung down in front of the A/C unit so that we had to use something heavy to hold them back so the A/C would blow out into the room, the pool was closed (at the end of July), and one of the two key cards they gave us didn’t work.

Also, from what I could tell, the room wasn’t well-cleaned. It was pretty clear that the sink had been wiped down with a towel rather than cleaned with cleaning fluid. There was a small dead bug on the floor in the bathroom.

On the other hand, the wireless internet worked fine. The door to our room was inside the building, which is always nice. The continental breakfast was adequate.

There was hardly anyone in the motel the night we stayed there. I don’t know if conditions would be worse or better when it was busy.
