The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. My only complaint is I really wish hotels would invest in some larger bath towels. It seems that the towels we used weren’t much bigger than what ai use as a hand towel at home!

It’s a great place to have a clean rest, with lovely helpful staff. Many small touches around the hotel make it cozy.

I realize thete are not many hotel choices in Kenora, but almost $300 for one night is criminal. I paid $115 for a better room at Super 8 in Windsor. The room was average clean, the matress was well worn and the toilet didn't flush properly. They gave me a plunger! Not worth anywhere near the 300 per night! Average contin breakfast.

I met the most beautiful people staying at the property , they are here not for a vacation or even , they are staying here due to housing shortages in the area and are the most kindest couple and I loved learning about kenora and Ontario from them . We became instant friends and will treasure those moments and I hope to meet them again im the future . The staff are beyond friendly any your love for pets are amazing to us you welcomed them with a little treat and a smile , we loved our short stay here and will definitely be staying here when we return here over the years . My children loved the peace we felt here . Thank you

Comfortable beds

The location is a little out to the way so driving is needed. The restaurant next door is only open from Thursday- Sunday. So if you are looking for meals you have to go further out from Monday- Wednesday.
The facility is clean, and the bed was comfortable. I had several ants in my room - I informed the team and they said they would look into it and I am confident it will be dealt with. The walls are paper-thin - I could hear my neighbours’ conversations, and…their “activities” while I have was in my room.

Super 8 is always solid

I always have good experiences with Super 8 properties and Kenora was no different.
The online check in and check out made everything so fast and smooth. The front desk staff were very friendly, gave us advice on places to eat and quickly brought a roll away cot to our room when I responded to the welcome text I received. Breakfast was a nice touch as always, a great way to start our active lake country day.
The hotel was sold out but was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

I travel a lot in Canada and Europe, staying in 2-4 star hotels, and I have never put in a review before for any of them. I am making an exception this time in the hopes that this reaches the management and they can make some small changes to make this hotel one I would not write a review about. The hotel itself was fine; the location was easy to access and a short drive from things you’d want to get to, the breakfast was mostly good (aside from burnt-black bacon), the beds were comfortable. Nothing to complain about there. Where the hotel fell down was communication, and I think it’s just down to staff not being fully trained:
- we were not informed there was no elevator (other groups I saw checking in with different staff the next day were told) and we were not given the option of a main floor room (those other groups were)
- we were not informed there would be no housekeeping on a multi-night stay because of staffing shortages, and we didn’t see the sign about it until we went down to get more towels because it was blocked by other notices
- when I pulled the blanket back to get into bed the first night the sheets were dirty, and because they didn’t have enough staff the girl was on the desk by herself, so I had to go get new sheets and make the bed myself. I’m quite capable of doing all of that, but there was no apology for the inconvenience and that’s what irked me more than anything.
The staff was friendly, just maybe not fully trained in customer service.

Your staff is truly amazing at the Kenora Super 8. We were there for medical reasons for 4 nights and on the very early morning of my husbands surgery our vehicle was dead. Carly saved the day and used her own car to boost us which we are forever grateful. Dakota and Carley we send a special thanks to but all of your staff are to be commended for their great service and kindness. We have stayed before and will always choose Kenora Super 8 when visiting the area. Thankyou all .

Such nice staff, but scratchy sheets

Staff were all so nice.
Breakfast was good, bacon and eggs. Lots of extras to choose from. Even soup in the evening.
Only complaint.... the sheets were scratchy 😞 i love soft sheets on hotels. Oh and the bath towels, are the side of me hair towel so bring a house coat if you usually wear a towel after a shower. They might fit small children.
