It is well situated in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which makes up the western boarder of the Kruger National Park, only 35 kms from Hoedspruit . Without fences inhibiting the free movement of game between the reserves, Timbavati becomes part of a vast unspoilt natural wilderness area that lies within the Greater Kruger National Park.
Suites are luxurious, and widely spaced, offering privacy to the guests.. Guests often afforded a safari experience with a difference from either their own private decks or the main lodge area, with almost daily up close and personal experiences with elephant, buffalo and bushbuck to name but a few.
The main lodge has a spacious lounge with two enormous open fireplaces for the cool winter nights. The bar allows for guests to watch elephants drinking out of the swimming pool while enjoying a cold beer or chilled glass of wine
