Great all-inclusive luxury accommodation in Kruger

We stayed 2 nights in Baobab. From our arrival in Hoedspruitt airport we were treated wonderfully by Jason and the lodge´s team. If you are looking for a friendly relaxed visit to see the Big Five, this is the place for you.
We had the opportunity to see a large number of animals in everyone of our 4 rides. Our ranger BJ led us expertly and safely while sharing his passion for the bush
And in between rides we relaxed by the pool or were able to have great meals accompanied by excellent South African wine.
Our cottage was enormous and beautifully decorated.
We do look forward to returning sometime in the future. Thanks Baobab

Amazing experience

Really great place to stay and go on Safari drives. I really can't think of anything that was not good. The managers were friendly and professional, the drives were amazing with great rangers. Obviously there is no guarantee what you will see, but we managed to see all big 5 within the first hour of one drive.
Can't fault it.
Just be aware if arriving by plane you need to arrange a transfer .The managers will arrange this is you ask.

Fantastic experience

The Baobab Ridge Lodge is a wonderful place for a safari as well as quiet relaxation in a serene, picturesque setting. Jess and Brett are terrific hosts and we felt like we were staying with family. Jayvee and Davey were incredible as they drove us through the bush searching and sighting animals and birds. Their knowledge was astounding and we saw more than we imagined including the Big 5. The meals were delicious and it was a joy to hear the chatter and laughter coming from the kitchen. I can’t speak highly enough of Baobab Ridge Lodge. Thank you, Jan, Paul and Cleo.

Great value for money. Stunning property!

Beautiful spot for just chilling and relaxing, but fabulous game drive opportunities as well. Morning and afternoon drives were all incredibly successful- we saw 50+elephants, lions, rhinos and hyena all up close with no other vehicles around. Can't forget the Giraffe as well. Open top vehicles make for great viewing... and guides are really knowledgeable.
Food is great, and you can't beat the big comfy loungers next to the pool. Very nice Wine and beer are included as well... which is fabulous.
We have been to many lodges... and this one sits very close to the top! We can't wait to come back.

Great safari at Baobab lodge, will be back!

Lodge was amazing. Rooms and living areas are very comfortable and spacious. The entire staff at the lodge was incredible - so nice and helpful. Our game driver took it to heart that we saw as much as possible. Can't recommend this place enough

Incredible safari experience!

Baobab Ridge provided an intimate, personal, extraordinary experience for our family of four to visit the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. The staff is wonderful, attending to every need in a laid-back way that allowed us to just relax and enjoy. The food was delicious. The game drives were amazing with very close interaction with the animals. Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is very well managed and you can tell that the lodges and guides are committed to conservation. Overall this was an amazing experience that can't be matched in quality and value.

Wonderful property, staff, food, and guides!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay for 3 nights in Feb/2017. Brett and Jess were superb hosts- both extremely friendly and accommodating. David, our guide, was the absolute best- he was able to track down a leopard on 2 our of days...magnificent! The whole property is fantastic. The common area is very cozy and relaxing, and we especially enjoyed giving Tuna, their adopted cat, as much love as he could take. there is a very nice pool and new deck area overlooking a waterhole for those hot afternoons. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was served daily and was always different, fresh, and delicious. Hats of to all the cooks and service staff, they are truly remarkable. There is an open bar for wine, beer, cider, soft drinks, and an honesty tab for hard liquor. There are only 7 cabins, thus a maximum of 16 guests, which makes for a nice stay. The cabins are very private, spacious, and tastefully decorated. Overall a delightful stay.

Fantastic Lodging in the Bush

My wife and I stayed at this lodge and we had a wonderful experience. All through our visit, the lodge staff provided exceptional service and hospitality, and our host and hostess help ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Upon our arrival, they greeted us with glasses of ice tea then they showed us to our cabin. Our cabin was spacious and had the modern amenities found in a five star hotel. The food was excellent, and topped off with nightly dinners around a fire and under the stars (weather permitting) made for an amazing experience.

For us, the best part of our stay were the game drives and that in large part is because we had two excellent guides, David and Jayson, who were both knowledgeable and experience. We chose give each guide a try and were very pleased with both. Although we only stayed two nights, which allow for 4 game drives (we took a morning and an evening drives with each guide) and you can drive around in the bush for hours and see nothing, fortunately our guides got us to areas for sightings of all the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo). In fact, we saw 4 of the big 5 on the first drive. Just as amazing, we saw lions on all four of the drives. We also saw zebras, giraffes, a hyena, antelope and a few other animals. The service, lodging, food and game drives exceeded all our expectations and we thoroughly out stay at the lodge.

Ein tolles Hotel - mit einem Makel: wir hatten Zimmer 5, das leider wirklich muffig / feucht gerochen hat. Ich weiß, dass das Hotel älter ist, weil Freunde vor 8 Jahren dort waren, und glaube es ist einfach renovierungsbedürftig. Auch manche Wände mit (Wasser)Flecken im Haupthaus. Man riecht es direkt beim Betreten des Zimmers und unsere Klamotten haben seitdem gerochen.

Hervorzuheben ist aber: tolles Personal das gut englisch spricht! Und tolles Essen, das sehr frisch zubereitet und toll angerichtet wird. Jeden Tag etwas Neues Leckeres. Für uns hätte es etwas weniger sein können, da man es eigentlich nicht schaffen kann und man ein schlechtes Gewissen hat, Essen zurückgehen zu lassen.

Der Safari Guide David hat alles gegeben und uns die Big Five ermöglicht!

Außerdem eine tolle, schnelle Kommunikation vorab mit Linda!

Wir würden sofort wiederkommen und es weiterempfehlen, wenn es renoviert wird.

Super prestations mais safari game décevant

Proprete irréprochable. Bel endroit au milieu de la brousse avec un point d’eau pour attirer les animaux. Tres bons repas et breakfast. Nous avons ete decus par le safari game lodge en 3 heures nous avons vu quelques elephants et girafes, quelques hyene, 1 rhinocéros tout de même. Aucun fauve a part 1 lion de très loin car 5 voitures dessus. Notre guide a beaucoup tourné sans plus de succès. Franchement pour le prix nous sommes très déçus a ce niveau car nous avons vu beaucoup plus d’animaux au parc gouvernemental bien moins cher. Si vous cherchez le confort ok mais pour les animaux la reserve semble bien pauvre.

Bel posto, bella atmosfera. Ma il lodge avrebbe bisogno di un po' più di cura nei dettagli e soprattutto di una migliore organizzazione. Colazione, pranzo e cena andrebbero sicuramente migliorati...ovviamente il tutto rapportato al prezzo che si paga: per circa 700-800€ al giorno, aldilà dei safari, ci si aspetta qualcosa in più.

מקום מדהים! אין מילים פשוט לתאר את החוויה. החל מהחדר המפנק הגדול שמשקיף לספארי. סופר נקי מסדרים אותו פעמיים ביום. הסיורים מדהימים וראינו את כל 5 הגדולים! הצוות ג'ייסון רבקה ודיויד שהיה המדריך פשוט מקסימים ויעשו הכל שנרגיש בנוח ונהנה. בהחלט מקום לחזור אליו.

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb sehr wohl gefühlt und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Pool mit Sonnendeck direkt gegenüber des Wasserlochs ist einmalig. Das Abendessen am Lagerfeuer auch. Und die Ranger beim Game Drive waren sehr kompetent.

Einfach nur Top! Richtig empfehlenswert!

Es war einfach traumhaft. Von der Begrüssung bis zur Verabschiedung war alles einfach nur toll. Wir wurden von Jess, die die Lodge führt, persönlich begrüsst und konnten gleich Mittagessen. Das Essen war all die Tage super ausgewogen und lecker. Es wurde auf Allergien und Präferenzen Rücksicht genommen. Das Personal war super nett und die Safaris ein absolutes Highlight. Die Game Reserves, wo wir unterwegs waren, grenzen direkt an den Krüger Park. Allerdings dürfen nur Fahrzeige der Baobab Ridge ud befreundeter Lodges in die Gebiete vordringen. Somit waren wir stets relativ alleine und konnten die Safaris geniessen. Das Zimmer (Haus) war einfach toll! Kann über nichts meckern und die Lofge wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

An amazing, luxurious experience

We had two wonderful nights at Baobab Rigde, but wished we could stay longer. The staff and service is wonderful, the location is amazing and the food was out of this world. The location inside a private reserve gives the opportunity to drive offroad, and you get really close to the animals. The trackers were great, and knew just where to go to see the best sights. The most memorable experience at the lodge must have been the elephants at the waterhole at night, such a moment!

A Paradise in Krueger Park

I was worried about no to staying in the expensive Sabi reserve with my wife and 2 kids and loose some of the big five but surprisingly I made the correct decision. The hotel is a family lodge with only 8 safaris lodges so it is not dificult to feel at home. The Attention given to us by Brett and our safari driver David was so special that I couldnt imagine it to be Better. They have 2 game drives a day and 3 days at least is an excelent joice of stay as we could see all the big 5 and a lot of animals. They do a real peaceful hunt for the Big 5 and David has all qualities a good game driver could have: vision, attention, patience and intention to keep you satisfied. The swimming pool is next to a water hole so it is perfect to sunbath sightseeing the animals refrishing themselves. I wouldo only sugest a restroom , shower and beers and drinks near the pool. The Boma at night is excelent. The drinks (Sodas beer local wines ) and food is included. The Room is perfect. Be prepared to see what Africa has at best .Thanks Baoba Familly to keep us safe and happy,

Prinzipiell einfach perfekt. Leider waren während unseres Aufenthalts zwei Bloggerinnen inkl. Filmteam da. Ihr lautes Verhalten und das ständige Filmen, Fotografieren, etc. mit dem Handy hat die Stimmung leider etwas gestört, was auch den übrigen Gästen aufgefallen ist. Hier wäre wünschenswert, dass man als Gast darüber informiert wird im Vorfeld oder die Filmcrew nicht beim an sich gemütlichen Abendessen am Feuer Filmen darf mit Blitz und Scheinwerfern. Dafür ist der Preis zu hoch.

The food was spectacular and every single member of the staff was so kind and friendly.

Hotel incrível, super aconchegante e intimista. Os funcionários se preocupam com todos os detalhes e capricham em todos os serviços prestados. Os quartos são enormes e lindos com uma sala de estar e de banho muito bem decorados. A localização é maravilhosa: isolado no meio da savana africana em frente à um lago onde os animais vão beber água. Os safáris são um espetáculo e acontecem duas vezes ao dia: bem de manhã e no final da tarde. O David, nosso ranger foi sensacional, muito profissional e experiente: vimos muitos animais! O serviço é all inclusive com várias refeições ao dia, todas deliciosas e preparadas delicadamente. Voltaria mil vezes, vale cada centavo pago. Super recomendo para quem deseja uma experiência incrível de conexão com a natureza na África. Obrigada Jason, Jess, Nini e David pela atenção e acolhimento!

숙소는 사진에서 본 바와 같았고, 럭셔리하진 않지만 편한하고 깨끗하고 포근하였습니다. 모든 음식이 맛있었고, 모든 직원들이 친절하였습니다. 풀장이 있으나 협소하였고, 날이 덥지 않아 이용은 하지 않았습니다만, 풀장 근처의 베드에 누워 초원을 바라보는 것 또한 즐거운 경험이었습니다. 이정도 가격에, 이정도 퀄리티와 서비스의 숙소라면 모두에게 추천하고 싶습니다.

O Hotel é maravilhoso, bem reservado, apenas 08 quartos, super bem localizado no Kruger. Experiência maravilhosa. Safáris já inclusos, realizados pelo próprio dono do Hotel, que conhecia muito bem a região, facilitando encontrarmos os BIG 5. Simplesmente a melhor experiência de minha vida. Recomendo demais esse hotel, pois você viverá experiências incríveis. Tudo organizado para que você possa aproveitar ao máximo. A comida era excepcional, os quartos eram maravilhosos, charmosos e super confortáveis, o hotel tinha tudo, e os vinhos all inclusive eram ótimos.
