The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Vanilla yogurt and the granola was especially tasty along with warm muffins. My only complaint is that I was given the impression this was a hotel but the standard rooms are basically a motel. I don’t think it’s worth a nicer hotel price when it’s just an older somewhat renovated motel.
Margaret
Last minute room reservation while.on the road. Easy checking. Clerk was friendly and helpful. Love the artwork by local artists all around the fac¹ility
Brian
They've marketed this place to be a modern hotel. It's just an old motel 6 or something with some aesthetic updates. Horrid HVAC. Kinda smelly
Sandra
Great place! Friendly staff, good amenities and pub food was quite good.
Brooke
I liked the quality art pieces hanging throughout the hotel. The lobby and dining area are nicely renovated and decorated.
Wendy
Older hotel. Our room had a big patch on the ceiling and a very slow toilet. Small beds. Breakfast was only ok, nothing better than others we have used. Staff were friendly, but overall underwhelmed by the property
Zhana
The check-in and front desk (Alyssa) was super sweet and helpful. She even called us to see if we needed anything. Alyssa made the hospitality top notch - hope the management acknowledges her! They are lucky to have her.
Now, the property itself. We didnt utilize the pool, we just had a quick one night sleep in room 225. The bed was super uncomfortable, same as the pillows. The AC is cold, but super loud. Also, the layout of the room is odd. The only garbage cans are by the entrance and nothing inside the bathroom or under the sink.
The most annoying thing, someone was playing their guitar the ENTIRE night. Low but you can hear it and it was disturbing. We woke up at 8:30 and still heard guitar playing. Not sure if it was the radio or what it was, but super disturbing.
For the price ($250 USD) it felt super overprised. And felt like we were in a motel.
Would not stay here unless I had no other options.

Room was very clean and I love that they replaced my towels every day. The staff was so friendly and giving me instructions how to get around town.

Un lugar muy acogedor. Limpio. Logares de comida y entretenimiento a pasos del lugar.. Lo recomiendo sin ningún repara.

Overall we had a great stay. The lobby and breakfast/bar area are very clean and beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was surprised that the second floor rooms have an exterior door (although you must go through hotel lobby to access the second floor, so security is not an issue at all.) The hotel seems like it used to be a motel that was significantly upgraded and reconfigured. The rooms themselves are on the small side, but the sinks and beds have clearly been updated. The beds were very comfortable.

The staff are exceptionally friendly here and the hotel is spotless. Big room. The walls are covered with local art for sale. This place is a gem.
Michelle
Loved our brief staff! Trendy and full of art. Will be back for sure!

Great staff. Great vibe. Great experience.

Very nice and quiet place to stay. There was live entertainment in the lounge while we stayed which was nice. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had! We really enjoyed the plain Greek yogurt with blueberries. My husband enjoyed the lovely French pastries.
I had a good night’s sleep which was much needed after a long day’s drive. The king bed was very comfortable.

Nice hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. We enjoyed the bar and lounge areas and the pool looked nice.
Jessica
Nice renovation from the Quality Inn I was told it used to be. Beautiful bar, Hearth and Vine, loved the local artwork all over the hotel. Room was clean and staff members were very nice and welcoming.
Stephanie
Recently renovated rooms. Good size standard King room; comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel with a definite Maine theme. Good breakfast and coffee always available. Outdoor pool looked busy but we didn’t use it

Beautiful hotel - we absolutely loved it. Comfortable beds… very nice bar with great food… excellent hot breakfast… high ceilings in room… gorgeous flowers in gardens… five stars!!!

Emma
The staff was very helpful, the room was not what we expected. The bed was very uncomfortable.
Laurel
Clean room, with helpful staff. Coffee/breakfast was delicious!
Donna
Very clean. Brand new. Place was amazing

Don't recommend trying to reach out to hotel through third party booking app as they are not responsive, and the cancelation policy is strict, with no room for grace, so buyer beware. No problem charging for a room not checked in to, no refunds, no exceptions. Says alot about customer service.
James
Paid way over rate to stay here
336 to be exact for one night and couldn’t take a shower because it was broken
Ridiculous
Bad stay!!!!

The check-in staff was very pleasant and welcoming. However, the check-out experience was not as good. I tried to have a conversation about my concerns, but the staff member was dismissive and acted like my concerns were not her problem.
On a positive note, Nicole at the bar was wonderful. She was friendly, smiling, and very inviting, which made my experience better.
Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable, but because of the customer service during check-out, I would probably not stay there again.

Upon check-in, the staff was so friendly and helpful. We tried to adjust our rooms but ending up with connecting rooms with the people we were staying with, which worked out great and out rooms were at a great price. The staff was super friendly. The amenities were well worth it. The free breakfast was delicious! Having the restaurant downstairs, especially in the weekend was fantastic after two long days. The restaurant had a variety on their menu and since we ate there two nights in a row, we were able to pick and choose different options and they were also so good. The wait staff at the bar were so friendly and efficient.

Traveled to the area for a karate tournament. Location was very convenient and hotel was very clean and comfortable! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
STEVEN
They need more lite food at the bar in the evening. French fries, chicken fingers. Popcorn. Buffalo wings. Items like that then the place would be perfect.
Patricia
Beautiful, very clean, comfortable room. Very kind staff. Loved the lounge and fireplace- great drinks and menu
Michael
Exceeded our expectations. The rooms were nice and clean, organic coffees and breakfast were a nice touch. Staff were available when needed and friendly, always professional. Overall the stay was completely positive.

Room walls were quite thin. I heard the individual snoring in the room next door and also felt my headboard move as they got into bed in the room next door. Gym is very basic.
Staff are excellent and breakfast is not that diverse.

Loved this place. clean comfortable. Great art in the lobby and halls. Breakfast was good. Close to grocery store too.
Jessica
Cozy place. Well-kept. Nice restaurant downstairs. Very Maine. Would stay again.
Lorraine
There was no hot tub.

The room itself was clean, but unfortunately, the overall comfort fell short. The bed was particularly strange. It was hard to tell whether it was too soft or too firm, but either way, something just didn’t feel right. It made it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep. The pillows also left a lot to be desired, lacking both support and comfort.
Another drawback was the TV. For the size of the room, the television felt much too small, making it difficult to watch comfortably from the bed or seating area.
Additionally, the noise level was an issue. The room was located next to the hallway, which resulted in frequent foot traffic and door noise throughout the stay. This made it harder to relax, especially during early mornings and late evenings.
While the room had potential due to its size and cleanliness, the comfort issues and noise made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

Spacious and clean room, all in working order. Pleasant and well stocked breakfast area. Pleasant staff.
One negative point - our ground level room opened directly to the outside rather than to an interior hallway as seemed to be the case for other floors.

Everything was excellent at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and pleasantly very helpful at all times
Kyle
The staff wasn’t very helpful or informative with any questions we had. Took 100$ for incidentals and has yet to return it 2 days later. I booked a king size room and got a queen size bed. Definitely not worth 250$ a night in my opinion.

It was an array of things that all come together that made it not a very pleasant stay. First off, the door to the room I was assigned, I had to literally THROW myself in the door to open it because it wouldn't open like a normal door. Second, the room stunk. Third, power went out the morning of our check out and the security system that is in place makes ALL doors lock, which also means if you leave your room without a second person you're locked out. Then not one employee in that place can give a consistent answer that matches another employee answer. Also the staff was very rude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nina
Room clean, staff polite
Maureen
Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was so clean!!
KAYLA
The stay was great. The bathroom room was just a little smaller than expected.
Daniel
Everything it’s was a great experience all around.

Everything ~ Clean room, great staff, nice quiet accomodations, nice breakfast every morning, plenty of towels, soap, etc. Perfect three-day getaway! Highly recommendable!

The Maine Evergreen was an inspiring Hotel! We travel a lot and believe that is the first time we have used that adjective to convey how we felt about any of the places we have stayed, regardless of price.
The room was quite nice. The attached restaurant and lounge was quite cozy and offered high-quality fare. The hotel itself is one giant art gallery with works from dozens of Maine artists on display & for sale. It's in a very convenient location as well.
But it was the staff that made our stay most rewarding. We had a very trying trip made even more difficult with car issues and the extreme weather that weekend. But the entire staff eased our anxieties and even offered assistance over and above what we expected.
We will certainly choose the Maine Evergreen whenever we are in the Augusta area and give it our highest possible recommendation!

Great place to stay.

This is a lovely, well appointed hotel with friendly staff. Our only complaint is a significant one though. The room walls and ceiling are not soundproofed so we could hear everything in our neighbour’s room. Whispering, peeing, everything. Car noise was also very loud. Even with earplugs, sleeping was difficult to impossible.
Christopher
polite staff, clean all around, love the art and such nice place
Darcy
The comfort and cleanliness of the room and the staff was very accommodating. We went down and listened to the musical guest for awhile. It was fabulous!
Anthony
Very Clean room, always great staff
Derrick
I found an apple under the heater which was kind of disturbing, it made me feel like my room wasn’t cleaned properly so who knows what else is dirty. Tried to email them but no response
Lyman
The room was clean. The staff was extremely pleasant. The hotel was really nice; I loved the gallery feel to it.

It is what it is pretty good place I go to a lot of different hotels and places so yes it's only a 3 out of a five
Kimberly
The room was very comfortable- especially the mattress! Great atmosphere and cozy pub to unwind after a busy day.
Kari
I wish the breakfast weekdays was available longer
Cheryl
Welcoming staff, great rooms at a great price, different tiers of rooms (the “deluxe” ones have indoor/hallway entrances while the regular ones have outdoor entrances). I have stayed twice in a regular room and it has been quiet, warm, comfy bed, and great filtered water tap in the rooms. They have a lovely breakfast room/bar, and they have almond milk as a breakfast option with granola for vegans such as myself. (No vegan food options on the evening menu however).
Rosemary
Everything was excellent
Steven
yes to all.

Thomas was amazing/excellent and a prized member of your team, he was a pleasure to deal with on both nights I stayed with you he should be rewarded for his AMAZINGNESS!!!!
He even attempted to defuse the situation after I was unfortunately woken up by another concerned member of your staff at 5:30am because they were concerned about a low temperature alarm going off in my room. Sadly I had turned the temperature down intentionally because I like to sleep in a cool room, I wish the staff member had waited till a more appropriate time to call. I can appreciate Wholey your concern for frozen pipes but another hour or two would have been appreciated!!
I did not get to experience the breakfast because my day started before 6:30.
