What a complete and utter lack of customer service and accommodation by this property. First on this booking:
Had to extend a friend who was staying Saturday night, Booked this room at 9am and got confirmation. My friend's reservation was to extend with the new one. Front desk locked him out after shift change. They could not find the reservation and deactivated his keys. He returned at 6pm in panic. The front desk manager Ken was accomodating and let him take a brief nap while he sorted out the confusion. Ken also gave him a new room as my friend had issues with the last room. Besides Ken the Front Desk team is rude and curt and ignorant. Had issues Friday and Saturday with another reservation. Family who owns property is great but their 2 staff members Friday morning and Saturday evening are incompetent and nasty.

The hotel was decent for the price we paid. We didn’t notice any bugs, and both the room and the beds were clean enough. The only issue was that the shower curtain didn’t close properly, so water ended up splashing all over the bathroom after I showered. We mentioned it to the front desk, and they were kind enough to provide extra towels and bath mats.

Great location for my needs.My room was never cleaned by housekeepers while there. I did not put a do not clean sign on door. Thought maybe short stage. Hotel was going through renovation s. Luckily I pretty neat and did not need anything. I did mention it to front desk and she apologized for the oversight. Yes, would probably stay here again. Louise at front desk was lovely and helpful.

The front desk was terrible, we booked through Expedia the same day when we checked in, the front desk refused to checked us in because she said the money was still at pending status, of course it is the pending status because we booked the same day and didn’t checked in yet. We called Expedia , Expedia called the manager of this hotel and told the confirmation number to the front desk, she was still not allowed us to check in . She refused to checkin us even though we told her if you can’t receive the money tomorrow, we will pay you!!! After back and forth phone calls after 4 hours , the front desk finally checked us in, We were waiting there for more than 4 hours at night , kids were exhausted and tired after skiing. If it were not because we were still skiing the second day, we would left right away.
Think about you were being hold in the phone more than 4 hours , what is your feeling!!
If the hotel manager team can see this message, please train your employees how to take care of your customers!! Terrible!

Staff was rude, defensive and didn’t make us feel welcome. When checking into the first room we found the sheet dirty and wrinkled as if it was from the last guests. They’re was also visible longhairs on the sheets. The older lady was telling that she has just checked the room, nevertheless when we walked back into the room. Room looked newly renovated -furniture & bed were new. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure good. Hotel was quiet. Only problem was that they shut down the elevator because of a loud banging noise it made when operating. We were on the 2nd floor and had a lot of luggage to carry when we checked out. The front desk staff person turned the elevator back on, we pushed a cart full of luggage into it, hit the down button & let the cart ride down by itself. The elevator worked & we pulled the cart out on the ground floor. Front desk person was very nice and helpful.

No working elevator. Got up the stairs and it smelled like marijuana as soon as we walked down the hall. Drapes didn’t close so the streetlights were shining in our face. The lock on our door wasn’t working properly even after the maintenance man changed the battery. Oh, the vending machine was broken as well.

My 11 yr old son & I stayed last weekend at this Quality Inn in Vernon, NJ. We arrived late, at 10 pm, had no trouble checking in. We stayed two nights. The first floor room was quiet and clean and spacious, the king-size bed very comfortable (mattress and pillows). We appreciated the amenities of fridge & microwave. The continental breakfast was adequate. The other guests were decent. The place eventually will need a facelift, but I don't want to complain because the prices are reasonable compared to local alternatives. Location was also convenient for us. I would stay here again, no question.

Nice comfortable room. Nicely decorated and roomy. Large comfortable bathroom. No significant noise even though we were near the lobby. Easy parking. We were on the area for a family event and this was close to where we needed to be. Close to Great Gorge.

I like this hotel too because it did provide breakfast. Gps takes you on another route so you have to pay attention when you get close. Other than that… good stay.

Nice little hotel for a trip up to mountain Creek resort to ride some mountain bike. It's clean the rooms are clean and comfortable there is breakfast everyday. Nothing spectacular about the hotel. Just at a good staff and good prices and good all around place in Vernon NJ.

We were pleasantly surprised because we didn't expect this hotel to be as nice as it was. Very clean and the rooms were great. Bonus that it is pet friendly (but we were told that there are bears around the property so beware). Breakfast options were really good and the dark roast coffee was excellent (and I am a coffee snob.) I would have given this a perfect rating BUT (and this is a big but), our room faced the parking lot and the only curtains you are able to close are sheers so I had really bright lights shining in my face all night and slept horribly. If they fixed that then we couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Walked in and walked right back out. Stains on the beds, holes in the walls, dark hallways, questionable activities in the parking lot. The whole place smelled terrible. My daughter was scared and so uncomfortable and she’s 12. When we asked to che k out and not be charged the woman at the desk was quite rude and cut me off at every word. We told our friends who also booked a room to not waste their time and we all went to the Best Western and was very pleased. Would not recommend this hotel of horrors.

The day staff is warm and friendly. The overnight lady is rude and angry. My interactions with this person and my family's interactions were not so pleasant. If in fact she is the owner she should not interact with guests. I asked questions and she was clearly annoyed. We did not feel welcomed. We will not be returning.

We were there when it snowed and while they were quick to plow the parking lot there did not seem to be any salt or sand applied to their steep entry driveway.
The waffles for breakfast were delicious.

A really decent spot in the mountains if you are in the area for hiking, skiing or other recreation. Not fancy, but kind staff and clean.

Disappointing hotel experience

The manager was unfriendly at our arrival. The room we got was filthy, bed was broken so we complained. The manager cancelled the reservation and we had to go to another hotel.

They did not clean the room they did not change the towels and the person in charge said was the manager and did not have a good attitude and customer service
She indicated that the cleaners did not work on Sunday
We believe that this excuse is not valid in a hotel that should have cleaning service every day
