Generally this is really good value for skiing with kids. The room was spacious and the opportunity to cook is helpful. The pool and hot tub outdoor was a hit with my children. The garage is very helpful as well although access it earlier in the day you come in would be even better so you can directly park there.

I would however want staff that is a little less aloof and just nicer to clients - just saying hello is helpful… even if you are checking the lift tickets. The Granite lift is not safe for small kids as it does not slow down to get on and off. Either mark it as such or do the needful to make it safe even if you slow it down.

More staff would also reduce wait time - 45 min for 2 pizzas seems excessive both the room and the kitchen appeared to be missing a few people and the room was not full. The large hot chocolate at 5.99 feels a little much (and generally the market prices - I paid $30 for a few snacks which felt substantial for not much). The AI checkout needs work. Last I did not receive the info in the 24h before that was announced and the text messages were not in order (wecome text was the last).

All in all I’d go back but these minor items are what makes the experience lose a star.

On two occasions the smoke alarm went off. No cooking and no reasoning for why it was going off. The second time the alarm went off was at 1 AM while we were sleeping. 45 minutes of deafening alarm beeping with no way to shut it off. Because there are 0 employees or staff present we called the local fire department. They were able to shut the system down, reporting that this is due to poor system maintenance and can go off at random with no explanation. They said this was not the first time this has happened, which is not fair to any guests period. $300+ for a room with a faulty alarm system is not okay.

I arrived to check in to the hotel. They have no check-in desk, which I was aware of. There is usually someone there in the shop or in the bar to help you at this point there was no one in the shop and no one in the bar. I located someone who was cleaning a room to help me attempt to get checked in. Initially, I was given a wrong room number to which The code would not open the door upon returning downstairs and a 20 minute conversation found I was given the wrong room and assigned a new room upon attempting to sign into that room. A gentleman came from outside that room and told me that that was his room. I returned downstairs And waited for approximately 45 minutes while they located a room for me. Accepted “had to be cleaned“ myself, my niece, and my daughter sat in the lobby for close to two hours during this whole process. When we did eventually get into the room, it was absolutely filthy crumbs on the carpet Tags from clothing that people had opened in the room still on the floor stains in the bathtub about as bad as you can expect without actually seen any kind of creature. The shop bar were not open at all that day due to low staff I hate to dog the place out because when I do get there, I have a fantastic time and I’ve stayed there multiple multiple times.While I can’t solve any problems as far as the amenities being open or closed, I have always had great success when booking through VRBO. I have never had a good experience when booking directly through the hotel.co

Communication and service was lacking at the hotel. Confusing check in for someone not familiar with the process and nearly impossible to speak with a human for help. I called the \"front desk\" name times and no answer. Left voicemail and no call back. Texted and no response. Lines were extremely long for everything and wait times were outrageous. The slopes were all ice and extremely crowded, people hitting into each other all over the place. Room was decent but no service unless staying 4 days, so you have to try to find the one person at the desk in the store and 2 out of 3 times they're not there for extended periods of time.

This was a very misleading booking. The rooms in mountain creek are now individually owned. Unfortunately, the property cannot force owners to update anything in their unit. The room I stayed in (as well as 3 others that I looked at moving to) were disgusting!!!!! I walked into the room having a musty smell, the carpet was stained, the couch was stained, and there was a left over used band aid in the nightstand drawer. The lamp shade looked like it fell into a bucket of coffee. My balcony door did not lock either. Making my stay less than pleasant. The manager told me that even though it is stained it is sanitized and clean. I’m sorry….no. It is dirty. My socks were gross just from walking on the floor. There is not really a front desk. It is the person running their little shop. There is no phone number to call if you need help. You have to text through an app. They never responded to any of my texts. By the time I walked down to ask my question, I got “oh yeah I just got your message.” Will never stay here ever.

Upon arrival, there was nowhere to check in. Just a shop that you would never imagine as a place to check in for an almost $300 hotel room. I asked around people poibted me to this shop - they sell food and snacks, no check-in notifications. Absolutely bizarre. The bartender at the bar casually advise that she was probably on break. Who leaves a check-in desk for break for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes? I went back to the bar, up and down hallways, tried to call Mountain Creek and expedia. They automated system asked for a number that was never given to me: an itinerary number that started with a some letter that I didnt have. Never got through to anybody. Tried multiple times. Bartender tried to call the person that was supposed to be there on a cell phone, no answer. It was absolutely horrible. Then, she finally shows up like nothing was wrong. It was insane. Then, I get up to my room and there bed was all messed up, trash in a trash can in the middle of the room, towels everywhere, a dishwasher sitting in the middle of the kitchen. I sent messages/pictures to the text number she said I could text, no response. Went back down to this shop where you are supposed to check and she was helping someone on the phone FOREVER and did not acknowledge me. It was insanely frustrating. She got me to another room. This was absolutely the worst check-in experience of my 47 years on this earth. All I got to hear was how this place is privately owned so they can do what they wa

The property was nice overall, but could use some updates. The room could have been cleaner, there were stains on the sheets for the pull-out couch. Clearer parking area signs would also be helpful, as I received a tow warning notice on my car (fortunately resolved by the tow company). That said, the location was great with lots of fun activities nearby, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The place is run down, my room had no waters went down to get them asked for ice cream as told where to go and it was broken. Communication is only through the guest portal and no one answers. No ac in rooms just in the kitchen and living room area. Ceiling fan in main bathroom did not work. Outside was dirty and there was a dead mouse that seemed to be there for a while and not cleaned. I paid over $500 for a night and it was not worth it.

No one responded to any texts or emails before check in or afterwards, even through the guest portal. The people staying across the hallway were blasting music until 4 am and there was no one we could call to address this. We didn’t feel comfortable going across the hall because earlier in the day we saw someone passed out in the grass by the pool area and smelled weed in multiple places around the grounds, and there is a mix of a crowd coming for the water park and mountain biking. The convenience store and guest services were supposed to be open daily at 7 am, and didn’t open until 8 am Sunday. No good coffee or breakfast options. The room was ok but the carpet was filthy.

Worth the trip

The hotel is very nice. They do not have your standard front desk, instead they text you a link to their portal once your room is ready on the day you arrive. There you get your access code and room number. Parking is primarily in an underground garage, though there are a couple of handicapped spaces near the front door. Everything on site is cashless (store, restaurants, and bar). We stayed in a suite with balcony. It was a nice room, with kitchenette. The pool looked good, though I didn't use it. My wife tried it, but the water was cold ( in late July). Overall it was okay. I wasn't impressed by the food, service or prices at the Beer Garden. We were there off season for a wedding. I will say they did a fantastic job for the wedding!

We absolutely loved this place.

Last minute summer holiday weekend booking for a 2BR Suite.

The suite was amazing, with a patio opening to the base of the hill / walkway to the fun stuff. I felt such calm drinking a Fiddlehead on the patio as the sun went down while the kids ran around the slope.

Don't come here trying to get a deal though... Everything was expensive, especially the little market in the lobby, which seemed to have a sliding scale on price, haha. If you are worried about spending this may not be so fun for you, or be sure to bring all your own food/drink.

Some of the highly rated onsite restaurants were closed for the season but the Biergarten was open. I put in our order right before 7pm on a Saturday and could tell the staff couldn't wait to leave for the day. However, they were still helpful and nice. The food, though simple, was really good! If I could do it over, I'd ask for the BBQ sauce on the side on the pulled pork sandwich... The meat was insanely good but the sauce overwhelmed it. Oh well!

PS: If you are old parents with young kids, the waterpark may be a challenge, lol. Best be prepared with the right footwear and get there early to get a locker if you can't checkin to the hotel until 4ish. We were total amateurs but enjoyed it nonetheless.

The staff are nice and very responsive. The room itself is old and seems like poorly maintained. Tje carpet has a lot of stains, there is a damaged TV closet in the room which seems like its there just because. The luggage stand is broken too and the center table is.peeling on the sides. The faucet in the tub leaks when switched to shower. These can all be easily changed or improved if taken the time to maintain the room.

I paid for a 2 bedroom suite when I booked my stay; however, was shocked to see only 1 bedroom when entering the room # given to me from the resort upon checking in. I immediately went downstairs to alert the staff member working at customer service and upon letting him know that there must have been a mix up, as I booked a 2 bedroom suite and only have 1 bedroom in the room # given to me. The staff member did not once offer one single apology for the mistake, and told me there was nothing he could do for me, stating that they had a wedding there this same weekend and there were no other rooms available; despite the fact that I had booked this stay almost a month in advance.

Just wanted a peaceful getaway with my kids and got that. No Restaurants open when we stayed. Just a convenience store and bar but they do have a kitchen and you can bring stuff to cook but if you are looking to just enjoy and not deal with cooking then that might be a thing to consider. Beautiful resort at the foot of Mountain Creek Ski Resort. It was very interesting because everything is automated from checking in and checking out. There is no front desk but there was someone on duty to answer any question. We were staying there off season to participate in a spartan obstacle course competition.

The room size is good but service is poor. I booked the suite with fire place for ski season, they told me the fire place is not working and can’t change room or get any reimbursement. Kitchen light was not working, seems it needs to change lightbulbs, but they don’t provide any service. Once you check in you are in your own. They don’t have reception area, check in location is on coffee shop cashier, any issue or even pick up clean towels need to go through cashier. First time & last time customer. No recommend.

We stayed 2 nights here thurs/fri night. Booked the best room which is a king suite. Unfortunately the room walls are paper thin and we were next to the most inconsiderate guests possible. They were up to 2am making loud noisy banging on walls, the kids were jumping on beds, running all over the room we couldnt sleep! There is NO attendant after 11pm so your screwed. There are also no phones in room to call front desk. There is only 1 person working until 11. We had a miserable time we will not come back.

Let me first state the staff is great! The ski support and Zachary with room support was exceptional! I feel they are doing the best they can. Unfortunately, the room needs much attention. Curtains old and torn, rugs stained and ripped, furniture worn and flimsy, BOTH sofa beds had old pee stains, bed found with hair from previous guest, glass doors with dirty finger prints all over. I will state the bathrooms and kitchen were clean in the room. Then around the ski store / ski gear / cafe and such - absolutely filthy. I absolutely understand the volume is great and would be difficult to keep up but when you see garbage everywhere, bathrooms smell like urine and stool and see no building services throughout the day it brings on great dissatisfaction and disappointment. Both the lodging and ski activities are far from cheap. It would appear business is good so not re investing in the property to improve satisfaction breathes greed. Unless of course there is zero guests outside of the winter season and trying to catch up financially. Which honestly would understand in this economy. If this is not the case shame on administration and leadership. You can’t charge this kinda of prices and have motel 6 accommodations. Lastly, I was NOT able to log into work on my computer. Despite the many attempts. The WIFI was downright non functional. Yet another sense of lack of investment on the property. Yes I understand a large number of people but absolutely time to invest in new cell tower!

Everything is booked and managed online, however my initial booking was handled by someone at the front desk (?) and they got it wrong.

It was worked out in the end but caused some stress.

It was convenient because property was next door to ski lodge area. It seems renovated at room. But electric stove was beeping sound with not working. We tried to call front desk for this issue, however no one came over to look it up. We could not cook dinner terribly as a plan. Only one bar opened in late night. Unlimited restaurant option. Towel Service was out of order at pool. Unsafe / uncleaned at pool area due to glasses all over during kids play. No life guard at pool. Kids made noises in the hall between rooms at midnight. No shampoo in bathroom.

Request a 2:00 early check-in, which was approved by Manager Justin Mills. I also called twice to clarify the parking if I was arriving in the morning to ski prior to check in. I was told twice to come right to the hotel for a garage code. I wanted to plan on parking in the garage because my wife was getting over the flu and not skiing. When I arrived, I was told I had to park down the road and walk back. This was not feasible, so my wife dropped us off and spent the day in town, returning for our 2:00 check-in. At 2:00 We got an email instructing my to use the guest portal to access my room code. We went to the room, and the room was already open and still being inspected. The housekeeping manager was in there and very unhappy that we were trying to access the room so early. She insisted that I should have waited for a message saying the room was clean. I was only following the instructions in the check in email. I never got any email saying the room was clean, just one inviting me to the portal and giving instructions for access. I understand that we asked for an exception with the early check-in, but even after it being approved by the Lodging Manager, the staff was very stubborn about making the accommodation. The room was clean and we had a nice visit, but planning our check-in should have been much easier.

For the amount of money and amount of guests I found it very upsetting that they got rid of the front desk altogether and now have the snack shop attendee doubling as the check in agent. Literally selling donuts and checking people in at the same time. All to save the salary of one very needed employee.

Advertised to have hot food but the person at the \"cafe\" on the first two nights said the oven was broken. Check in person was not very friendly or helpful. Third night the check in person was helpful, said he was able to make a pretzel for us in the oven. 4th day the first woman was back at check in and said she couldn't use the oven. I said the man yesterday did for us and she was very reluctant to do so. She did, but complained about it.

Also, the area around the pool was incredibly icy and should have been monitored/maintained.

Overall, it seemed like more staff could have greatly benefited the experience. I am not sure if we will be back.

Me and family stayed over weekend for ski trip, all staffs we met were nice, helpful and friendly and I’m very impressed with that. The property itself was clean and roomy, which we were happy with, but there are some flaws in the unit we stayed that kinda ruined the experience. First, our balcony door is not locked, no matter what method we tried, not working, that was a huge security issue to us since we have a 1.5yr toddler and a 4yr old. Second, the fireplace in unit was out of order, we had to turn the thermometer to 75F to keep our unit warm and for some reason the heat distribution in unit is very uneven, while the room and living room is warm, the bathroom is freezing cold. Lastly, there was no extra blanket or comforter in unit so we cannot use the sofa bed in living room, family of 4 had to squeeze on the king size bed for the night.
Overall it was just a fair experience, given the price we paid and all the flaws we had. But it was the most convenience choice if you decide to stay over at Mt Creek.

Terrible room conditions, extremely dirty, seemed like room service just changed the sheets before our arrival. The rug and furniture in room were old and smelled like it needed a deep clean. Overall, they need to upgrade the room conditioning. My kids and family left with allergies after this stay. Also, no staff to be found throughout the hotel, just the person managing the small shop in the first floor. Need major renovations to the rooms and staff management!!!!
