I had a really unpleasant experience at this hotel recently, unfortunately. The rooms were far from clean, and I noticed a lot of issues with the hygiene. I found the staff to be quite impolite and unhelpful during my stay . Considering the poor quality of the accommodations, the price seemed excessively high. I would not recommend staying there, as I believe there are better options available for a more comfortable experience

The hotel is opposite a beautiful beach with a gorgeous outlook from the restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had the buffet dinner and breakfast both of which were very good quality and offered a wide choice with excellent value for money. We will definitely stay again

We had a nice room overlooking the pool. Although we didn't have supper or breakfast, there's a very popular restaurant with an excellent view over the Mira River. The old town is only a few minutes walk away. Excellent value.

PERFECT STAY

The staff were amazing, service at the restaurant and bar very good. The room very clean, apart from the shower curtain needing washed or replaced, no coffee was toped up on our second day, but no stress. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Overall it is a very nice hotel, beautifully located in front of the beach. The breakfast was nice and so was the relatively spacious room. However the double bed was small and very uncomfortable. Having said that, I wouldn't rule out staying there again

We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, but we left early because of the hallway noise and the air conditioner that kept us up for 2 nights with a loud cracking noise every 15 minutes. The staff were nice and the room was clean, but the hotel was very dumpy and outdated. Broken elevator. One of us had to sit on the bed for the other to cross room. Old bathroom. Parking was in a dirt field nearby. The door lock seemed flimsy. For that price, we expected more.

Not so much the fault of the hotel, but outside guests attending the public restaurant were way too loud, as well as a handful of guests staying in the rooms.

Was told it would be onsite free parking, which it was, but finding a space was almost impossible as restaurant guests would also use same space.

Had to ask for cleaners to clean room, room very substandard, coffee rings on furniture, bathroom had drain smell and coffee machine way too small, needed several cups in order to satisfy, just room felt way out of date and neglected.

Justifiable concerns raised with staff who did nothing, not even an apology (even if it was meaningless, at least something would be nice)

Could be me, but for the price of €159pn was expecting way more, simply cannot recommend.

Decent hotel, super location, excellent dining

This was just an overnighter but worked well. The area is beautiful and perfectly placed, if travelling, as we were, between Lisbon and the Algarve. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and worthy of its star rating, and the location is great, but what really sells it, is the restaurant. They do an all-you-can-eat buffet for around 12€, winter rate. The selection was amazing and the quality was excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotels.com said it was a 4 star hotel. Definitely not the case. The staff even told us it must have been a mistake on the homepage. Room was very could and did not nearly live up to our expectation.
The staff however was extremely friendly! Great great staff! They made the stay durable and the reason I did not complaint.

Interesting place. Large restaurant and beautiful pool but the room we had was dark and very small. You are paying for location and not the room because it was accross the street from a busy beach. There are no waves at this beach because it's on a river that is very close to the ocean. The reception area is only open at certain times of the day.

This is a difficult location to get to. The Garmin navigator wanted us to go down the wrong way on one way streets. The street in front of the hotel was barricaded but no one was sure why and no one observed the no entry signs. There is no elevator in the hotel just a very long circular ramp up to the floor of the rooms. The dinner at the hotel is a buffet but difficult to understand the menu as there are options you can order from the table and the wait staff could not easily explain. The location and view was great and the town center not far away is fun to visit.

Room is very basic. Pictures show the ocean view room with a balcony view. However there are only 2 of these rooms right at the end. The test of the ocean view rooms have high concrete balcony fronts so you have to stand up on the balcony to see the view. You can't see the view from inside the room. Rooms are dark.

AMAZING STAFF AND GREAT VIEWS

Having stayed here I am a little surprised by the ambivalent reviews. I had a very nice experience here. Everyone involved with the hotel was very friendly and kind. The rooms were clean and nice. The hotel had the best location and views of any hotel. The buffet was like buffets everywhere except that they included hot stone cooked meat. In season there is also a steak house. Really a very good choice!

There was an initial mix up with our booking which was handled very well by the staff. Ricardo went out of his way to ensure that the problem was sorted out and our inconvenience was kept to a minimum. Goncalo,Paula and Margarita were extremely helpful and friendly too. I had a wonderful Thai massage, enjoyed a swim in their lovely pool and the breakfast was a simple buffet but very nice. The room was well appointed and had a lovely sea view. Milfontes itself is a really lovely place - tranquil, laid back, beautiful beaches, good selection of cafes and restaurants for this relatively small village and the service and friendliness across the board was first rate.

Wonderful place, right on the beach, where you can walk forever. Go canoeing and lots of other activities.
Most of all, and unexpected, the kitchen. Try the carbonara, piri piri, and a coffee + at the fireplace.

Lovely boutique hotel w/stunning views.

We booked for one night through hotels.com and thought we were getting a pool view but happily were given a sea view at no charge - probably due to off season timing. Lovely hotel, amazing views from room balcony. Big, comfy beds and nice bathroom as well.

It would be nice if they didn't \"nickel and dime\" you for every little thing though as it is a 4-star. (5 euros for a game of pool, 5 euros for fridge use but does come w water/beer). Also you can hear doors slam.

Other than that, highly recommend.

Lite slitet, men trevligt hotell på en fantastisk plats. Frukostbuffén, och middagsbuffén var helt klart över förväntan. För att inte tala om utsikten från terrassen där man åt. Vi spenderade även en hel del tid i poolområdet, som var mysigt och inte direkt överbefolkat.
De enda minusen var att rummet var väldigt litet och sängen stenhård. Och kanske den döda kackerlackan i badrummet när vi anlände...

Wij vonden dit geen 4* hotel. Bovendien 1,5 x zoveel betaald als wat de prijs nu is: €163 betaald en kost nu € 109. Bed te smal, bank versleten, gehorig. Ontbijt was prima. Na klacht dat kamer te klein was kregen we een upgrade: ruimere kamer maar dezelfde klachten.

Os únicos aspectos positivos foram o pequeno almoco e o jantar, em termos de quantidade e qualidade do serviço. De resto foi tudo negativo. O hotel nao é um hotel de quatro estrelas, tem uma construção muito antiga e arcaica, necessita obrigatoriamente de obras. As fotografias pareciam ter sido melhoradas para dar a entender que o quarto estava em melhores condições. Havia muito barulho e ruido, tanto de pessoas como da canalização

Schöne und saubere Unterkunft in unmittelbarer Strandlage. Personal freundlich und kompetent. Zimmer klein, aber ausreichend, zudem Möglichkeiten sich am schönen Pool oder auf der Terrasse mit Strandblick aufzuhalten.Frühstücksbuffet mit reichlich Auswahl, Abendbuffet sehr zu empfehlen, bei Preis/Leistung nicht zu übertreffen. Eine Empfehlung wert.
