We weee taking the ferry to Rostock and needed a place to stay the night before. If you are going on the morning Stena line ferry this hotel is beyond perfect. Not only is it in the same building as stena line terminal but it is exceptional in all regards. The dinner the night before was 5 stars! Plus breakfast and exceptional service from the staff. Room was great and spacious as well. If visiting southern Sweden this is a pure gem

Parking at this place was difficult, as the desk clerk did not give me the proper information that there was an additional parking area which was not sign posted. But what I really didn't like is that I wrote to the hotel manager about this, and she hasn't yet replied. This is a bad sign! In addition, as the hotel is located very close to the port, trucks can idle just outside the back of the hotel while waiting to clear customs. This is really annoying, but the hotel cannot do anything about it, or so I was told. We would definitely not stay at this property again. No way.

Excellent for ferry

Located on harbour but no sound can be heard in hotel. Foot passenger's check in at hotel for ferries. Room large and clean even if a little basic. Soap in holder as now the normal. Food provided in with price. Cake and coffee mid afternoon. Evening meal was very nice and plenty to eat. We left before breakfast so they packed a bag and left it for us in a fridge. The star of the show was the receptionist. Perfect English and very helpful and informative

Room included an excellent breakfast and dinner as well. Location is right next to the ferry terminal for ferries to Germany. As we were taking a ferry in the morning the location could not have better. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The price also included afternoon coffee and cake. Secure bike storage was available for our bike.

A quaint hotel near the ferry wharf.

We enjoyed staying here.The hotel was comfortable and situated very close to the wharf where the ferry comes in. The room was interesting with a small window that you could open and a lower than usual ceiling. The breakfast was delicious with some interesting Swedish food to try as well as other European food. The building the hotel was in was shared between the ferry terminal and the hotel. The architecture was interesting with bridges inside the building over the foyer. There was an iron available for you to use on our floor as well.

Too expensive for low quality stay.

Most expensive low quality hotel stay I've had in my life. For 170 € per night the hotel room and no service amendments such as refrigerator, hotel phone etc. And the breakfast was leftovers from the day before with almost nothing left. Only bread and old yogurt, no scrambled eggs or fresh bread. Way too overpriced for low low low quality in service and offer!!

If arriving after 22:30 phone to ensure you get in

Stayed here a few times now. It has a new reception and restaurant which is better. Perfectly placed for walking to the office and the town centre.

Centralt beliggende hotel. Lidt upersonligt, da der er andre virksomheder i bygningen. Dog hyggeligt i restauranten. Home Hotel konceptet er godt, når man som os blot var på gennemrejse. Det passede os fint, at vi ikke skulle finde et sted at spise ude i byen. Lidt besværligt at booke parkering.

Slitna rum som behöver renoveras.

Lobbyn var fräsch och inbjudande. Hade rum på våning 5. Här behöver man göra ordentlig renovering. Toalettstolen hade flera bruna ränder. Kaklet i och fogarna i duschen missfärgade. Duschförhänge som inte går till golvet. Det mesta i rummet också slitet. Det som var bra att man hade en sänglampa vilket man ofta inte får tillgång till på hotellen. Frukosten var väldigt smal. Blev mätt men kanske något mera.

Fantastisk skønt hotel med super betjening,.

Haft et usædvanligt fint ophold på Home Hotel Magasinet. Alt var perfekt fra den venlige receptionist og hurtige indkvartering, til værelse og badeværelse, som var rent og pænt samt stort og bare fungerede. At opholdet inkluderede middagsmad samt kaffe var super og mulighed for at sætte sig med en kop kaffe bagefter i tilstødende stole og sofa var en fornøjelse. Parkering tæt på og praktisk beliggenhed fuldendte opholdet. Så fantastisk ophold og kommer gerne igen.

Toppenhotell för dig som ska med färjan

Trevlig personal och middagen som ingick var över förväntan. Vi skulle ta morgonfärjan dagen efter och då vi inte hann med någon hotellfrukost pga detta gjorde personalen i ordning en frukostpåse till oss.

Vi var nöjda med hotellet. Bra val när man ska med tidig färja då det ligger precis vid terminalen. Bad om frukostpåse och fick det utan problem. Dock så förstod vi inte förrän efteråt att det ingick middag på kvällen, så detta hade kunnat vara tydligare vid incheckning. Rummet var bra och hade allt vi behövde.

Bra alternativ till att bo i Malmö - När jag bokade var det nästan fullt i Malmö och detta ligger ju inte mer än drygt 20 min med tåg från Malmö.
Rumsstandarden var väl ok, men frukosten mycket bra och om man har möjlighet så ingår Fika och middag också i priset :-)

Godt og praktisk beliggende hotel

Rent og behageligt hotel lige ved færgeterminal og centralstation. Morgenmad, eftermiddagskaffe og enkel aftensmad indgår - vældig praktisk for arbejdsrelaterede rejser.
De mange færgeafgange med til- og frakørende lastbiler, giver naturligvis noget larm , men her i januar behøver man ikke have vinduerne åbne og lukke larmen ind, og det blæste også så stærkt fra havet, at bølgebrus og vind overdøvede trafikalarm.
Morgenmad er god, med flere valgmuligheder. Aftensmad er god hverdagsmad, typisk kød, med enten ris eller kartofler. Dertil friskbagt brød og flere salater at vælge imellem. Der var også mulighed for at få en lille portion grøntsagssuppe.

God service og beliggenhed

Opholdet bød på overraskelser, da vi ikke var klar over, at der udover morgenmad, også var kaffe pg kage og eftermiddagen, sam en 2 retters aftensmåltid, som vi kunne tage imod, uden ekstra udgifter... derudover, kunne vi hygge os i hotellets lobby, med spil og tidsskrifter, samt mulighed for at købe chip og drikkelse mm.. God service, og flinkt personale!
Værelset var en smule gammeldags og slidt.. men lydisoleret for evt larm fra trafikken udenfor.

Great location, specially if you are taking/coming from a Ferry. We had to leave just before breakfast was served and they offered to prepare a bag for us, and it was delicious. Dinner is also very good and was included on our rate.

Först fick vi ett rum på 7:e våningen men ville byta eftersom den kändes klaustrofobiskt. Det var enkelt att byta dock mot en liten uppgraderingsavgift. Hotellet har bra läge, och bra service.

Bra rum. Hade hundar med oss, det fanns en vattenskål till dem och ett litet tuggben. Trevligt!
På kvällen bjöds det en enkel middag som ingick i priset, som inte alls var så enkel… bra mat och många sallader och tillbehör. Väldigt gott!
Sen var det fin frukost som innehöll det mesta.

Två missnöjda hotelgäster

Rummet var jättetråkigt där saknades känsla och värme avsaknad av lite Detaljer och kylskåp bla. Stolar i rummet var som att sitta i jättestora hårda papperskorgar gjorda av nät? Vi lämnade hotellet så tidigt så vi skulle få så kallad Doggy bagg och det var den sämsta frukosten vi har ätit, Synd att vi betalade för en frukostbuffé. Kväll middagen som ingick i priset var det samma som vi åt på klär John hotell för ca sex år sedan i Karlstad. Vi är klara med Clarion. Två vana resenärer
