This hotel is easy to navigate to and located in a very nice, quiet area. Beautiful landscape and plenty of parking space. My room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed to make my stay very comfortable like coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave, etc.
Nice desk for computer and chair and reliable WI-FI service. There was also an additional chair with a small table to sit down and eat or relax. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the style of the curtains. Once I closed the colored one, the room was dark to help with sleep.
The breakfast was plenty and the staff very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Ms. Samantha at the front desk, who was very kind and went above and beyond her customer service.
I will stay at Best Western Mulberry when I travel to Lakeland in the future and I will recommend it to my friends and family when they visit the area.

It was okay..it could have been more..scrambled eggs/ sausage/..yogurt on the machine..juice was watered down..no pastries..hostess donuts in a pack..
We turned the heat on and it smelled like rubber burning..we had to shut it off immediately.. everything was so damp..you would have thought that it rained a little in our room..when I asked at the front desk about the smell I was informed that they were replacing the TVs and it was the smell of the dust..it was more like mold.
The TV was not working the last night..we only had it on once before..it was a big disappointment..my sister's and I went to say goodbye to our oldest brother who is rough way..I wanted to leave the first night! They did the least amount to pick up in our room..I would not recommend Best Western!
I can say that the staff was friendly..

The remodel of the hotel was very nice since the last time I was there. The room was nice, breakfast was good and the bed was ok. My only issue was the side door to get in, the door slams loudly and my room was right next to it. People were coming and going all night, it woke me up every hour, so I did not sleep well. In my opinion that door should be locked at a certain time where you only have the ability to come in through the main lobby that late at night.

Not great. Less than average for the price!

Problems with coffee in lobby. Not working all the time. Breakfast shutdown early. Yogurt machine not working at breakfast. Not good food at all. Best was being able to make a waffle. Free breakfast was a bonus since that’s one meal we did not have to eat out but food was not good. Not a cheap price per room to not have all tge amenities.

I was in Bartow for an event and booked this hotel. I have a service dog and a service dog in training. They are very accommodating and asked me the correct legal question and explained only we can't leave them alone in the room, which is also within the ADA. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the best stay. The property needs some updating, but overall it was clean and the bed was comfy. However, there were some issues with losing electricity a few times, the AC was making a very loud noise, the TV was kinda bare minimum and there were some issues with guests that I know they don’t have control over. Was only there for 1 night, but there were hotel guests who invited some underage kids to party with them until 4am! It was very loud, music playing loud and slamming doors every 5 mins. Did not get much sleep, maybe 2 hours. I made the front desk aware of what happened and again I know it’s not their fault.

Good enough for me, but maybe not for my family.

Overall this was a pretty decent place to stay. The place was kind of old and you could smell the scent of cigarette smoke and cologne though the AC vent in the bathroom. The room was pretty bare and was missing curtains. So it wasn’t really cozy.

Check in was easy and the girl in the front was polite.

Overall I was just looking for place to sleep while my son competed in his state meet, and this place didn’t job. If I just need a room, I could see me coming back, but I don’t know if I would bring my entire family here.

NO EARLY CHECKIN

This hotel had no leeway for early checkin which would be understandable if the hotel was full. From what I could tell there were about two cars in the lot besides ours and only one other person for breakfast so I just didn’t understand why even coming back every 2 hours the manager made us wait until 3 NO EARLY CHECK IN

Save your money. Drive elsewhere.

We were not notified that construction was going on. The room stunk. Food ran out at breakfast, yet they would refill. Beds are small, loud, springy.

Way overpriced. Will NEVER stay there again.

The staff was very friendly, however the facility was awful. Terrible musty smell, like mold. Very humid in the room even with the AC on 68. Hallway smelled like marijuana. There werekmited memories like extra pillows. There was a beeping sound outside that started around 3am that kept us awake. The room was relatively clean but not comfortable - bed was hard. We had to exit our stay a day early because of the discomfort. Worst motel experience.

BEWARE THIS HOTEL UNTIL REMODELING IS DONE!!!

This hotel is in terrible condition. I have seen better bathrooms in service stations. The tub caulking was dried out and breaking off. The room was horribly dated. There were signs saying that a remodeling was going on, but we sadly did not benefit from it. I would never stay in this hotel again.

Property located on highway in a small town. The hotel is undergoing renovations that hopefully will improve its deficiencies. Flooring uneven and loose laminate boards. The television didn’t work in our room.

I'd like to pay special tribute to Samantha. This lady truly exemplified 'going above and beyond the call of duty'. The special attention she afforded me in the reservation process was outstanding. We will most definitely stay here again as this stay-coming back to my hometown stay-was most enjoyable. I personally recommend Samantha be given an immediate pay raise and promotion. Again, thank you Samantha for your efforts!

Business goes on during renovations. Great location between Mulberry & Bartow, FL. Traffic noise during the day (get that anywhere in Florida). Lots of parking spaces except by front door. Staff great, eager to please. Hot & cold breakfast available. Always a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Not As Good This Time

We have previously stayed at this hotel many time with no problems. This hotel is currently being renovated, which is needed. Our room was clean but daily, there was small amounts of trash in the corridors. Our greatest concern was that the bed springs squeeked terribly-metal on metal. They need to be replaced. Due to the renovation, many rooms were unavailable. We were assigned an end room at the exit door on the second floor--noisy. The ground floor outside door remained unlocked the entire stay.

Went into my room the bathroom and the floors were dirty. They charged me more than it said when I booked it. The floor in my room was coming up in many many places as you walked across of it the tiles lifted up. It was very musty. Nothing worked properly, when I went down to breakfast, they ended an hour before they said it was supposed to end and I couldn’t get breakfast because they said they weren’t many people there

Tub does not drain, property did not instill confidence upon arrival. Seems less than clean. Bed mattress is not quality. AC does not work well - makes a lot of noise but doesn’t cool well.
Maybe they recently acquired the property and are working to bring up level of quality, but I would definitely prefer a nicer more comfortable accommodation.

The stay was a tragedy from the beginning. You are helpless to do anything because the room is non-refundable. I arrived to find that the hotel had no power. The receptionist was all alone sitting in the dark without any back up power. The power did not come back on until after 2am. I was stuck taking the room and went to the closest hardware store and bought candles for myself and the front desk lady all by herself in the dark. I went to the room which was cold and obviously dark. I had nothing to do but sit in the dark so I decided to try and take a shower thinking that surely they have huge boilers and there would at least be hot water or at best warm. I was wrong. I was hesitant to go anywhere because of the bad storms we were having. I tried to sleep because it was very cold. I dozed for a little while and sat in the dark for a few hours. I could not take the cold any longer so I went and sat in my car with the heat on. Looking around at the property I noticed several windows with the curtains were hanging only attached to one side. The property had litter and the beds had beer bottles thrown in it. The landscaping was in a terrible state of neglect. The room was neglected as well when the power finally came on. There was black mold in the bathroom, the shower flooded the floor and the slow drains were an issue. There was no internet,remote didnt work and floor lifting up posing trip hazard. Never will I stay again. Awful experience. mgmt is awful.

Staff was great. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and accommodating. I think his name was Prob or something different like that. Samantha was also very nice and accommodating. Our room was very clean. The shower pressure was really good and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast was good...the coffee was excellent. I think the A/C in the lobby and breakfast area wasn't working because it was VERY warm but our room was super cold. All in all, it was a good stay even though it was a short stay. I would recommend staying there. I felt like the price was very reasonable as well.
