I was disappointed by my stay at this hotel. I booked a Deluxe double room based on the pictures on the Hotels.com website and the level of hotel, 4 stars. The description of the deluxe double room and the room I was given were not the same. The hotel staff insisted that it was a deluxe room. I still believe room 305 is not. It faced the side of the alleyway. It was very small. It by no means matched any pictures viewed under this type of room. The staff told me to deal with the agency we booked with, I had prepaid via Hotels.com. The breakfast was just so-so. Several people had to ask for plates! The buffet was almost wiped out at 8:45 on the Saturday morning. The one staff member working could not keep it maintained. Sunday was a bit better but we went down at 7:45 am. I still had to ask for napkins however.

Pretty good room despite strange shower cabinet system has one tap and you struggle to adjust the heating of water. Rooms are very close to each other and all conversations are in your room as well. Hotel staff were kind and helpful.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding, for the price we were so impressed with the quality of the service and luxury feel of the room. The staff were very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants etc and were very welcoming. The location is perfect, walking distance to the colosseum, Trevi fountain, and public transport links such as train stations, metro, bus stops etc. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. This hotel is close to the train, a 10 minute walk. There was a grocery store at the end of the block with a wine bottle opener in the room and wine glasses. The pillows were amazing! They have a wonderful breakfast with lots of options. The front desk workers spoke English well and were very helpful!

Overall good stay. Wonderful reception staff, great central location for sightseeing, breakfast is decent, housekeeping is good, but soundproofing is not good. Could clearly hear other room occupants opening and closing their doors, their footsteps, talking and even blow-drying their hair.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. Two different rooms, but both were great! First we stayed in their largest room with a balcony and it was very spacious with a great outdoor space for evening wine on the patio. We also stayed in a regular room for a night before our flight home. It took was very nice, albeit smaller like a typical European hotel room. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms nicely appointed with robes and slippers, and the room was very clean.
The truly outstanding part of this hotel is the staff. I mean as warm and welcoming as any staff at any hotel I’ve ever been too.
Lately, breakfast was decent… not incredible, but there’s enough options for everyone to be fed for the day for sure.
Great hotel that’s centrally located, less than a 10 minute walk to the central train station that goes to the airport and other cities. Wonderful restaurants, bars, and a grocery store at the end of the block.

When arrived there was an emergency fire it was nothing serious but we had to get out of the room and walk down 4 floors to the lobby. Then room was very small no place to put luggage. Staff was friendly and helpful but if you care about being comfortable this hotel is not a great fit.

There was a great variety at the breakfast buffet and items were renewed quickly if they ran out.
The air conditioning was efficient but a bit old and noisy.
Room was very comfortable and cleaned each day.
The location was great for walking to all the major attractions.
Staff on Reception were very helpful with advice and recommendations.
Unfortunately, our last night was ruined by some very noisy guests who were so inconsiderate, but that was no fault of the hotel.

Located very close to the terminal and just off one of the main streets in Rome, via Nazionale. It is a cosey boutique style hotel with great character and is no more than 25 minutes walk to most of the attractions in the city. The rooms are quaint but have all the essentials you need.
The staff were very friendly and we often found ourselves having a chat with them at the desk at the end of day.

I didn’t like this hotel. I can’t believe it’s a 4 star. There is only 2 guy in the front. They charged me 30 euros extra for my 5 year old per day, there were only 2 towels. My tv did not work. My bathroom was dirty I added pictures. Rooms are so small you can’t even move in there. They never cleaned the room. I usually don’t like to Leave bad reviews but this one I had too. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else. I stayed at the Independent hotel in Rome and it was much much better.

Very very disappointed that new ownership has downgraded the breakfast to be awful and cheapest quality possible. This hotel used to have a very good home-cooked food and wide selection of quality pastries and salami for breakfast. I had such a wonderful stay here for my first time in Rome! The location was absolutely perfect just steps from Termini Station and close to the buses, which made getting around the city so easy. It was also near great shopping areas, yet still quiet and peaceful at night. The staff were very welcoming and even let me check in early, which I really appreciated. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping everything spotless throughout my stay. Overall, this hotel’s location and service made my trip stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I had an exceptional stay at Hotel Britannia in Rome! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and eager to make my visit special. The hotel itself has a charming blend of classic Roman character with modern comfort.

The room was spotless, well-appointed, and surprisingly spacious for the city center. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful details like quality toiletries and complimentary refreshments. This hotel is a gem, its quant and quiet.
Convenient to just about everything you want to see in Rome.
10 minute walk to the Roma Termini, 15 to the Trevi fountain, restaurants in the area are close, food was amazing as well as café.
Hotel staff were the best we have ever experienced. They took the time to help us navigate through Rome, what to see, where to go, how to get there. They really went above and beyond.

Amazing and helpful staff! Junior suite was spacious with a sitting area and terrace, lots of room for two people, so glad we booked it. Breakfast buffet was really good too. Only downside was the air conditioning in the sitting area was lower than in the bedroom area but we kept the partition door closed so that helped make the bedroom colder. We slept comfortably. I note it was extremely hot here this week, unseasonally higher temperatures. We walked almost everywhere but to the Vatican. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again!

Make sure that the previous guests or housekeeping have closed the exterior windows- very loud noises from streets below. Lobby and breakfast area smells like mildew and must. While there is a tiny elevator there is a flight of stairs in and out of the hotel- not great if you are staying a while and have heavy luggage. Staff were very friendly. Bedding was clean and bed was comfortable. The wall under the sink in the bathroom was disgusting- marked up by dirty mops strings for a long while. Housekeeping and maint staff would have very loud conversations in the halls and woke us up many mornings.

Front desk and breakfast staff were very nice.

Based on the rate we would consider staying here again. Location was really good and the bed was good. Bring ear plugs and insist on the bathroom being cleaned. Room has a small fridge so we stocked it with breakfast and lunch items from the market down the street.

Staff members were friendly. We paid for daily breakfast, but it didn’t start until 730, so when front desk found we had plans early one morning, they packed us a light breakfast with water bottles. Very thoughtful, my husband and I really needed the sustenance for that morning. Right by the opera house, there were a couple of times that I heard what sounded like someone practicing their vocal cords, it was pretty cool. Close to the termini station, attractions, shopping and restaurants.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was comfortable but could do with updating in some areas, such as carpets and decor. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a nice selection and the pastries at breakfast were delicious.
We stayed in room 102, which was supposedly a Deluxe Double. It was small and didnt look like the pictures that were advertised. Unfortunately we couldnt get in and out of the bathroom if someone was selecting clothes from the wardrobe. However, it was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel was a about a 15 minute was into the main shopping area.

The hotel (along with a few sister hotels close-by) offer free tours and events in Rome with their own guides which are worth trying. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It is an older boutique style hotel but felt ver luxurious. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely. It is on a smaller side street, but walkable to many stores and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are a choice of stairs or a very small elevator to get up and down from the rooms. The lobby is downstairs, so you have to go down a set of stairs coming in and going out the front door (no elevator). The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.

We loved this boutique hotel. We could have gone with a larger modern hotel but we wanted to actually feel like we are in an Italy. The room was great. We got the terrace suite and what stood out the most was the exceptional customer service we got from all the front desk staff. The smiles, the positivity, the excellent assistance…. We stayed here for 6 nights. The staff were friendly and so helpful. We needed to print some tickets and they helped with that, as well as giving us a few restaurant recommendations after we checked in quite late.
We had a room overlooking the street so it got noisy at times but it wasn't anything we couldn't deal with. The only issue with the room was when it started raining, and the sound of water dripping outside somewhere became too much, but again, headphones and music sorted the problem.
The room was spacious and the ac worked perfectly which was great when we aren't used to hotter weather in October back home.
Overall a grand trip in a lovely hotel.
