Woken up several times on first night by nearby guests from a wedding, shouting aggressively at 4.30am. Quite scary. Second night slept really well, very quiet with no traffic noise. Well designed and convenient room

Overall motel was good. However room small no place to store or lay suitcases. Toilet was in a small room which required you if large person to open door to position on toilet then close the door. Breakfast was good and staff pleasant and helpful. Parking a little bit difficult and you may have to walk a distance. Walking distance to tourist areas.

Booked as a stayover on fishing trip to Brittany.
The town is lovely,the hotel and staff were lovely and there are several nice bars/restaurants within a short walk.
There is a parking garage under the hotel too so if you have a van full of fishing gear,like us,your car or van can be parked securely.
Not sure if you can book a parking space because there are only a few

Good for the overnight stay. Good for the value. Staffs are highly professional and friendly. Few things worth to be noticed by the management are:

1) As soon as you enter into the lobby (seating area before going to the stairs), the entire lobby floor has strong bad smell from the toilet. That had made bad impression and unpleasant feeling every time when you in and out.

2) Room floor needs some deep cleaning.

3) Lobby and main entrance area need to maintain minimum lightings after sunset, even the electricity saving rule may taking place.

4) Hairdryer main body case and holder base were both fallen apart, the handle was very sticky. Needs more housekeeping attention. It could be dangerous for the guest as well.

The Hotel has no airconditioning, so you have to open the window at night. We had extremly loud live music in the pub across the street, so you couldn't sleep while the music was playing, aftewards a lot of traffic noise (motorcycles). The receptionist wasn't able to help, hotel was fully booked. Accdg to his word all room are to the street. This is no place to sleep at night!
All the other criteria were ok, but if you can't sleep, that doesn't level it.

Good stopover.

Hotel in general and our room in particular were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was not large but was comfortable as we could leave the window open overnight. (The town was not noisy). We visited in May but the lack of aircon would have been a severe disadvantage in high summer. Convenient location at the heart of the town. Free public parking nearby.

If you want a picturesque stay this is it

Excellent hotel ideally positioned to take advantage of this picturesque old town. The gardens surrounding the church are very well kept and clever with their modern ‘large’ objects dart? All in all an excellent short stay with great views and walks. The hotel staff were very helpful in tracing our missing plug lead. Well worth a visit.

Friendly front desk Johnathan. Spoke very good English. Room was nice. bathroom nice. Plenty of parking but, suggest contact with hotel on where exactly to park in advance. Nice location with places to eat and market across the street. Wife forgot her phone in room. Was recovered and mailed to us by staff. Big THANK YOU. I would stay here again. Close to St Milo and Mount St Micheal 30-45 min away. Wi-Fi was good

A tale of two halves!

The bedroom was pleasant enough but the bathroom gave me the feeling it was a wet room adapted for a disabled person, it even had a rail adjacent to the toilet!
We did not sleep well due to being located adjacent to the lift shaft that was very, very noisy.
There was no offer to show us to our room or to help with our luggage.

Nice hotel, great customer service

This hotel is in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, bars and the castle. The room was bright, airy and clean (however the toilet hadnt been flushed (P) in the room toilet when we checked in). The receptionist, despite not speaking english and my poor level of French, was very helpful indeed and was most welcoming.

First time in Fougere

Un ventilated very small toilet, very small shower room hand held shower was pathetic.
The help yourself breakfast was very good...lots of gadgets. The room was meant to have a balcony and there was meant to be free parking(there was if you found a space in the right street but the hotel implies it provides free parking but they actually charge 10Euros for their garage.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel it was nicer than the pictures esp the bathroom. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and used it as a base for exploring the local area. About 30 mins from Mont St Michel. We booked a queen sized bed and it was ideal. We didn't stay for breakfast as we were up and out everyday but found a little baker around the corner and bought bread etc and stopped en route for picnics. However we did eat in the restaurant one eve which was nice. In summary lovely hotel were staff seemed genuinely happy to help and ensure you have a happy stay.

The staff were helpful, and the hotel clean.
The room was dissapointingly small, but strangely with a huge bathroom & there was quite a bit of noise from the lift.
breakfast was average, with no re-stocking and the hotel's staff seemed to be eating the lions-share!
On the whole OK, but not the standard expected from a Best Western

Hotel très bien situé au centre de Fougères. Personnel agréable et efficace. Changement de chambre pour une autre de catégorie supérieure après constat d'une fuite d'eau au niveau de la fenêtre provoquée par un orage brutal et violent. Petit déjeuner complet de prix très raisonnable.

It was nice stay, but our room was not cleaned while staying at the hotel . They said one have to hang on the door the sign to pleSe, clean my room if not they understand you don’t want your room to be cleaned. This is the first time I experience this.

Onze kamer was op de 3de verdieping, (onder het dak). Er was geen airco dus zeer warm. Ramen open zetten kon niet vanwege het lawaai van het verkeer. Er was volgens ons, naar we zagen op het evacuatieplan geen brandtrap aanwezig, wat ik onbegrijpbaar vind. Ontbijt was goed.

Hôtel traditionnel à Fougères.

Arrivée dans l'après midi, très bon accueil. La chambre un peu petite mais propre, les wc sont très petit, la douche et le lavabo très bien. La chambre donnait sur la rue et pas de bruit, grande TV. Le personnel très serviable et aimable. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très bien si nous repassons à Fougères nous reviendrons à cet hôtel.

Dans l’ensemble convenable, seul la propriété est à revoir au niveau de la salle d’eau. L’évacuation du lavabo ne ferme pas et laisse passer un odeur d’égout très désagréable quand on fait sa toilette.
Par ailleurs l’insonorisation serait à parfaire car le bruit des voisins est très présent surtout la nuit.

L'hôtel est bien situé dans le centre-ville de Fougères, les chambres sont petites mais la literie est bien par contre la propreté laisse vraiment à désirer, je suis aller prévenir la réception que la salle de bain avait des traces de moisissures sur le carrelage, on ne nous a pas changé de chambre, la cabine de douche était pleine de moisissures, on dirait que les joint qui sont moisis mais il suffit de passer un coup de serviette pour voir que cela s'en va c'est juste de la crasse, c'est inadmissible pour un hôtel, je n'ai pas eu d'escuses, on m'a juste dit que cela ne partait pas ce qui est complètement faux. Déjà cela veut dire que la réception était déjà au courant de ce problème et que rien n'est fait pour y remédier, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel
