You’ll find the majestic Home Hotel Borgen next to the Örebro Theatre and Örebro Castle stands, just 5 minutes from the central station. This impressive brick building features a large gate, Gothic windows and round towers, providing unique accommodation with a wonderfully homely atmosphere.

From the hotel it takes just a few minutes to stroll down to the main square, Stortorget, where you’ll find lots of charming cafés and eateries from which you can admire the beautiful Saint Nicholas Church. Örebro’s wonderful City Park, Stadsparken, about 10 minutes’ walk away, provides city dwellers with a lush green oasis featuring rose bushes and a popular outdoor theatre stage.

We were there 25/12 and were given the complimentary dinner and breakfast. Both were very good. Staff were lovely even though they were busy. Somehow managed to hook a room without windows. I would be more careful next time as I did not like that, but it was only 1 night here. A bit claustrophobic for me. Overall a good stay but beware of no windows!

Nice hotel right in the middle of the historic district. A bit hard to figure out where the front door was- and it was not very handicap accessible. Parking was a on a lot a short walk away- so you need to check in to get that information. Breakfast was good, and It was nice to have a light diner buffet available in the evenings. Room was large and very comfortable- AC had trouble keeping up on a hot august day- but was able to open windows when it cooled down at night and the room had a fan.

We had a lovely stay at The Clarion. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a wonderful location and the hotel is beautiful and great value. Best of all was the quality and range of the breakfast, including afternoon Fika and a delicious evening meal.
Thank you to all the staff. It was fascinating to be here during Orebro’s art festival. Highly recommend.

The building is very charming. We had a deluxe room on the third floor with a cute turret nook but the deluxe room on the first floor did not have this. Furniture needs a little updating but it is very clean. It does not have AC. The food is only average so we opted for our own dinners. The views are so pretty of the river. But it is intolerably noisy due to the huge outdoor nightclub across the river. Concerts on Fridays and Saturdays and open until 2am then the noise of patrons leaving. Even with the windows closed tight we could still hear it with earplugs in! Very hard to get a good nights sleep. Be forewarned. The concierge also was not very knowledgeable. We asked for help booking a castle ghost tour and after asking several times if the tour was in English (yes,yes) we showed up at 11pm and no, it was in Swedish. Not very scary. We are now in Mariefred and it is a much better little charming town with a better castle IMHO. Skip Orebro altogether or do a day trip. This bougie American’s advice.

Jeg havde et rigtig godt ophold på hotellet. Personalet var venligt og hjælpsomt, og indtjekningen gik hurtigt og problemfrit. Værelset var pænt og rent med en komfortabel seng, hvilket gjorde det nemt at slappe af efter en lang dag.

Beliggenheden var også et stort plus, da hotellet lå tæt på både offentlig transport og flere seværdigheder. Morgenmaden var varieret og velsmagende, selvom der godt kunne have været lidt flere valgmuligheder.

Särskilt trevligt med bord och två stolar i ett litet tornrum utanför själva rummet och med fin utsikt. Tyvärr hade vi inte tid att sitta där denna gång, hoppas få mer tid nästa gång vi är i Örebro. Hotellet i sig är ju en sevärdhet och kommer att vara vårt förstaval i Örebro.
