Check in staff was friendly. Room was good, except we had dirty and stained “clean” towels in our bathroom. The pool was good for the kids, but very cold. Free breakfast is offered, but limited as to what is offered. Overall was decent, but would probably book somewhere else next time.

Room was freezing the heat wouldn’t work in our room only would blow cold air. Staff was on our kids for having any fun from the second we checked in. They couldn’t even hang out in a room together without complaints as we were outside the room @ 6:30pm not even late at all. Our kids got told to be quiet when team Canada scored a goal in The breakfast room. Weren’t aloud to have fun in the pool, lady kept coming in and telling them they were being loud or splashing everywhere. No blow up beach balls are allowed.
Our kids were very well behaved and were all in bed by 8:30/9pm. Only plus was the older lady serving breakfast was amazing with our kids, made them all waffles and served it to them, joked them. Served the parent’s coffee. Thank you to her.

This isn’t even the same hotel in the pictures. Rented a room that was not what I received.
Same chain different hotel. The beds were terrible. Springs into your back. Woken up at 3 am from people shoveling and screaming at each other.
Staff was great. But it was just a lie this hotel.

Great service, room was quiet and clean, I wanted a hot tub but none of the hotels in town have one so why not settle for the second best option a warm pool and fun waterslide. The breakfast changes up every day (the style of eggs and meat) and is good. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Slave Lake!!

The property was clean and safe. We had rented the king size room with the hot tub. The main door bolt did not close. The hairdryer did not work. We had to keep asking for extra towels and pillows and unfortunately, when I booked, they did not inform us, the pool was closed.

The hotel was great. I guess the complaint I would have was iur room was booked in the middle of a teenage sport team. They were loud, doors left open and beeping constantly, nicely asked them and front desk but nothing was done.

The staff was kind and helpful, but there weren’t enough of them, and better training and maintenance are needed. The lone front desk attendant seemed overwhelmed, handling multiple tasks at once. The room was also untidy, with crumbs and hair in the bedding and only three pillows for a room meant for four. Additionally, the hot tub wasn’t working, and the breakfast—both in terms of quality and freshness—was disappointing. Overall, it felt like the hotel was poorly managed.

Pool was ice cold, waterslide not functioning and dark and creepy as 8 out of the 10 lights in pool area are burnt out.

Good, but just barely.

The Super 8 in Slave Lake is an o.k. establishment with a few quirks. The breakfast is definitely not something to write home about, it's a pretty standard continental but I would put it on the lower end of quality and selection.

The Gym was a bit odd - you had to go to the front desk to get a specific access card for it and sign in/out of it. Not sure what the story is behind that. Outside of that had mid-level equipment (Bike, Elliptical, Tread) and a bench. Missing lots of weights in their rack.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the facility is just a bit shabby.

Old hotel in need of many updates. Toilet did not flush, TV did not work. There was food on the walls that just had not been cleaned. The kids loved the pool and the bed was comfortable. Took a long time for checkin. There was no staff present for approx 10 mins. Would not stay here again.

Not very clean, saw stain on the bed sheet and was really gross. Plus when checking in, the front desk lady was supeeeeer slow , my son needed to use the washroom and she saw that but kept being very slow! When googling the hotel I saw they had a jaccuzi on their website then surprise NO jaccuzi! And the kids were very excited for the water slide but no water was running in it!

Fine for a couple of days with my son - the pool and waterslide is great, we used it a lot. Free breakfast is pretty gross, but there's a McDonald's literally in the same parking lot, and a Sobey's right across the street. Only major issue was they NEVER cleaned our room. On our 3rd day there, I stopped by front desk when we were leaving for the day and asked if you could please get our room cleaned - we had no more towels, garbage was full etc, and when we got back later that day, there was just a stack of towels place on the counter (not even put away in the bathroom) and 3 new garbage bags thrown on top of our garbage cans (not even put in). And our bedding wasn't touched, no vacuuming done, nothing. Super disappointed in that, but other than that the place was ok.

This hotel was awful , and insanely overpriced , the mattresses were at least 30 years old , springs broken on half of the bed , rooms smelled musty and insanely outdated.

Breakfast in the morning was disgusting, the pancakes were hard enough to use as a hockey puck. We only booked here because every other hotel was booked up but I will never book here again ,and recommend you don’t either.

Convenient location to everything. The hotel room was clean but is very noisy with construction crews in the morning idling their vehicles outside in the winter. Walls must be paper thin because you can hear everything. The pool was closed for renovations. My three night stays averaged $170 a night, way too much for a Super8 of this style. Disappointing and I would not stay here again at that rate.

When I first booked, the app had the wrong address/location on the map, so we drove right past. Not a big deal, except we were in the big rig. Luckily we were able to get turned around before getting too far in the wrong direction. (It appears to be correct now)
The check-in staff were very friendly. The room was showing it's age, but was clean. We walked to the restaurant next door for breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. It looked very basic, good enough for me, but not my husband.

We were travelling thru and needed a 1-night stand!! LOL. Staff was friendly, the hotel was reasonably clean considering the inclimate weather outside, and they had plug-ins for my VW diesel.
A bonus for us is that being New years Eve, once we were settling in, there was a commotion outside and we could see their fireworks from our window!

Hotel was clean, front staff was great. Just the other people staying in hotel next to us we’re not respectful of other hotel people staying. Very loud, slamming doors from room to room, yelling down hallway through out the night. 12am-1am again

The pool was closed for the majority of our stay and the hot tub was closed for the entire weekend.

My child slipped and cut his foot open on a metal door by the pool because the staff never cleaned up all of the water in front of the door in the lobby.
