Everything about the room was ‘tired’. Plugs were loose in the sockets, shower door did not shut so bathroom flooded. Only one bath towel and no hand towel for 2 guests. TV kept cutting out. We requested to move rooms. Staff were helpful but obviously couldn’t fix dodgy electrics and broken shower doors.
On the positive side the restaurant was lovely. Food was great. Breakfast excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Overall the hotel was ok but not worth the price we paid. Have stayed in other far nicer hotels for the same price

A good stay

The check-in was slow i was made to sit for long and guest coming after me were attended to by loveen at reception. Having seen this in had to be assertive ask her to attend to me on priority. After which she was trying to give me twin bedroom although I had specified during booking for a king size bed. I insisted on the same & finally she gave in to provide a non-smoking king size bed room. I found the food to be fairly satisfactory in taste, portion size & aesthetics. Although the way it was brought to the room partially covered or improperly covered raised my concern on its hygiene. The rooms is comfortable & decent size. Housekeeping service are good. Have stayed here earlier so the room tariff provided by bookings.com is vfm.

Checking in was not a good experience. Even after we had booked a room for four which was clearly mentioned at the time of booking, we were told that one king size bed would be sufficient for four to sleep.
They wanted to charge us for an extra bed which was not mentioned at the time of booking. For a Hotel which prides itself for service it was not a good experience.

I arrived at the hotel on time wasnt allowed to check in as didn't carry my passport to the location (as a foreign national). I was able to provide my canadian driver's license. So frustrating that left me in an unknown city in a foreign country with no place to stay. They were able to check in the 2 additional guests but not me. How ridiculous. I was able to provide all IDs including the credit card under which this bill was charged. My main issue was that why was wasnt I notified about this that I needed a passport and a proof of visa to check in. I have traveled 100s of cities across the world and never had issues.

Lastly, the cellphone of one of fellow guests was stolen during their stay. No accountability.

I am very upset. I demand a phone call from hotels.com regarding this horrible experience.

Pathetic housekeeping, AC does not work properly. Morning buffet was stale and dry. 50% of the workforce does not speak English. Have stayed over 20 nights in the last 3 years but this is final.. Terribly upset on service.

Good place for business trip but missing Internet.

Its a nice place to stay in except the lifeline Internet which is a problem every time. Foods is excellent specially the Dinner. Gym is missing many equipment. It is a good place to be with family and being on the highway good for business.

Bad customer service! Thumbsdown.

One of the worse customer service I have ever seen in a 4* and above rated hotels. While checking into the hotel the front desk staff was ignorant and disrespectful to the point that I had to literally ask them if they really want us in the hotel or not.
Although I am not a hot headed person but I did not like their attitude at all.

Front desk staff was appalling and I got a disgusting feeling from them.

At the check out they over charged us and when I raised it in front of the front office staff- they gave a very lame excuse and tried to cover it up by saying \" sir, we can not do anything with this bill as this is don't at the back end and we cannot change it\". The point is that he did not even try to look at it and his intent was to just get rid of us. At that time whatever I was trying to say was in fact correct. At the end they overcharged me by almost $70.

I am not impressed by the front desk at this property.
I hope someone from Park Plaza will try to resolve my issue and help me forget this disappointing experience at this hotel.

The good points, hotel was clean despite the location, rooms and bathrooms spot on. Reception area was clean. We came for a wedding, so saw the Banquet room which was a good size, however food was not good. Now onto the service, booked the room obviously online but the hotel got a different price confirmation for which i had to fight my corner for three days as the charges they were putting on was £50 more than the confirmation I received. The room service was sooo slow that made my blood boil. Last day themanager agreed to take the price on my booking but made sure he gaveme a piece of his mind and made me feel he was doing me a favour. Before i left he toned it down n requested me to follow it up with the cust service at hotels.com which is currently underreview

Great Hotel, superb value for money

The hotel is a very good one on the highway near the airport. Its a little far from the main city so there is not much around the hotel but otherwise the hotel is amazing. The staff, the service, the rooms the food - everything was good.

Sparse, strange area but does the job.

Stayed March 2015. We stayed here because it was one of the best hotels near Ambala and I stand by that statement. However, the location of the hotel is on the main road. The swimming pool is under construction and unfortunately our room looked out on this monstrosity. The swimming pool is right on the main road so I found that a bit strange.

As soon as we walked into the reception area the customer service was lacking the people on reception were slightly hostile but they did their job. He would not provide myself with a second key for my mother who I was sharing a room with. We both enjoy doing our own things in the afternoon and it makes things easier then we do not need to worry about being around to open the door. However the person on reception said he would have to charge us to have a second key (not even refundable!).

There is an amazing eatery next door to the hotel which is worth going to.

The spa was empty when both myself and my mother visited but the people were so kind and efficient, definitely worth it for their threading services!
