This is a 4 Star hotel in Germany, but there are no Air condition in the rooms! We were 16 people and were very disappointed about this on a 4 Star hotel in Germany! Plus, since there are no Air condition in the room, we end up opening the windows and there were lots of noise from outside till 3AM in the morning due to people partying outside! This is very frustrating to see this in Germany! People are smoking right on the main entrance and don’t care that there are people walking into the hotel!

The hotel is in a nice part of the city. I enjoyed the choice of breakfast items and eating outside on the terrace.
The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly. There are renovations going on but not disruptive, noise wise.
Just a little grumble about the foam chip pillow.
The hotel was in walking distance of the downtown shopping area. There are also a choice of 3 buses from a stop just outside of the hotel. All 3 buses go to the main train station.

Mercury is a very good option is Hagen. It is mostly used for business travellers. It has a good gym, rooms are comfortable and internet works. People speak English and it has a (paid) parking lot.

This place is a hotel wannabe. No A/C, they covered the pool with a fitness center that has 2 treadmills, you have to wait in line everyday to leave in order for your parking ticket to be stamped at the front desk, 4 hangers in a rack that wants to be a closet, no drawers to put your clothes. Housekeeping doesn't speak English OR German. Bathroom is small and no place to store toiletries. Good luck!

Decent hotel, nothing extraordinary..

Was there just for a day, but the hotel is quite far from the city center and connectivity is a tad poor... we checked in a little early but were not allotted a room even after waiting for more than an hour... don't think they need so much time to just do up 1 room.. we requested that we were ready to compromise on floor / size but the front desk didn't look capable to take such decisions ... it's fine that we were a little early (about 2 hours) so can't complain much about it ... rest decent place of you have your own car ....

Three night break.

Very helpful staff. Excellent English spoken, as usual! Very quiet hotel. Good bar area inside and out. Strong, free, WiFi in room and everywhere. Breakfast was very good, buffet style. Fifteen min walk to town centre. Car park, chargeable, was safe with barrier. Thank you.

I was expecting more from a 4 star hotel: No air conditioning (not even a fan), swimming pool was advertised but closed 4 months ago, breakfast mediocre (we've eaten better in 3 star hotels, very basic room furnishings. All in all, there are better accomodations in the area for the same price or less.

Stayed here because they had a pool. No they don't. They were in the process of replacing it with a fitness center which was not available. Was here for 3 nights in August 2012, temp 30+ degrees centigrade everyday. Newly remodeled 4 star hotel?? I don't think so. No air conditioning, no drawers to place clothing, a 2 person room with a 1 person closet, no ice bucket or ice available, no air in room even with the window open. Told to go to restaurant everyday for ice and was reprimanded when I did go. Saw coffee available outside restaurant area. Made a cup of espresso and was told it was not available for guests. Watched them throw it out rather than say \"OK, take it this time, but...\" Go to Hagen to visit friends often but will never stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and updated. Flat screen TV's in all the rooms. Their satellite cable broadcasts English TV stations as well. Free wI-fi internet and free parking are also bonuses. Very friendly staff. The location is right down the street from many restaurants and bars.

Et fint business-hotel, som overordnet lever op til det, man har brug for på en forretningsrejse. Værelset var pænt, rent og funktionelt indrettet, og sengen var god. Fitnesscentret er dog noget mangelfuldt og lever ikke helt op til forventningerne, hvis man gerne vil træne under opholdet. Til gengæld var personalet super søde, meget imødekommende og tydeligt servicemindede, hvilket trækker oplevelsen klart op. Restaurant og morgenmad var udmærket, og parkeringsforholdene var gode. Et solidt valg til forretningsrejser.

De best denkbare service aan de receptie! Voor de manager en al het overige personeel geldt: Hoffelijk en bijzonder behulpzaam. In veel jaren zo niet meer in andere hotels meegemaakt. Mooi interieur. Prettige ruime schone kamer met heerlijk bed, voldoende kastruimte. Handige ligging. Restaurant gezellig en prima kaart. Service ook daar uitmuntend. Uitstekende parkeerruimte overdekt voor het hotel. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding heel gunstig. Ik logeer er heel graag!

Ich kann dieses Hotel absolut nicht empfehlen. Es fängt schon bei den Betten an: Die sogenannten \"Doppelbetten\" sind eigentlich zwei einzelne, unbequeme Matratzen, die einen großen Spalt dazwischen haben. Schlafen ist so fast unmöglich, vor allem, wenn man nicht in die Lücke rutschen möchte. Eine Zumutung!

Dann fehlen im Bad grundlegendste Dinge: Es gab kein Duschgel und nur ein paar wenige, alte Handtücher. Die Hygiene war ein weiteres Problem. Der Urinstein in den Toiletten war einfach widerlich und zeigte deutlich, dass hier kaum Wert auf Sauberkeit gelegt wird.

Auch der Teppichboden im Zimmer war eine Katastrophe – offensichtlich sehr alt, fleckig und hat einen unangenehmen Geruch verbreitet, der den ganzen Aufenthalt zusätzlich unangenehm gemacht hat.

Das einzig Positive war das freundliche Personal, das wirklich sein Bestes gab. Leider reicht das nicht, um über die vielen Probleme des Hotels hinwegzusehen.

The room was so so so warm! No aircon, which we didn't notice during booking. 4 people in a small room on a warm summer night, was almost too much. Also the extra bed (for the kids - 8 and 10 years old), was very hard and uncomfortable.
Otherwise the hotel was at a very nice location, close to a cool area with a lot of dining options. The hotel was clean and nice and the breakfast was good.

Die Sache mit dem Check-out ....

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel war angenehm, das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel. Leider wurde ich trotz der vereinbarten Abreisezeit von 12:00 um 10:44 Uhr unsanft geweckt, als das Personal energisch an meine Tür klopfte und \"CHECK OUT\" rief. Dies ist leider nicht das erste Mal, dass so etwas passiert ist, und es hat definitiv meinen Gesamteindruck getrübt - Kleine Randinfo: Ich bin als Künstler in einer angrenzenden Discothek gebucht und komme erst zwischen 5 und 6 Uhr aufs Zimmer. Bei den Preisen, die dieses Hotel berechnet, sollte man erwarten können, dass solche Unannehmlichkeiten vermieden werden.

Meget bra. Var noe små pirk, som at det manglet dusjsåpe. Ujålete som jeg er, brukte jeg shampoo 😂 Foretrekker noe lavere puter. Mennesker tipp topp. Flott frokost buffet og hyggelige ansatte.
