The room was great and the pool is alright it definitely needs an upgrade on the beach chairs and there isn’t a nice view from the pool unfortunately. Unfortunately the restaurant had just burned down 5 days prior but they made a pop up kitchen so they still have great options! The staff were really friendly as well!

Beach club a little noisy at night with daily DJ from sunset but a beautiful sunset location
Hot water available and ac.
Beach villas a little dark on the inside. Outdoor kitchen..keep the cupboards locked otherwise the raccoons will raid them!

Disappointing Experience at the “Coral” Casita

Unfortunately, the “Coral” casita was not the right choice for a restful getaway. While the villa itself was clean and well-maintained, the noise from the nearby busy street was unbearable. The constant sound of ATVs and four-wheelers racing by throughout the night made it impossible to get any sleep. I ended up checking out after just one night because the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t offer me a quieter room.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this villa is not it. The location near the street makes it more suitable for those who don’t mind the noise or are out exploring during the evening hours. Unfortunately, it just didn’t provide the relaxation I was hoping for.

Luz the manager was helpful and efficient. Location is great, set back from the beach with a private pool and busy restaurant/ bar in front. Lovely surf beach.
Had an excellent massage at spa with Rosita.

Banana Beach Hotel was amazing! The bungalows are clean and comfortable . The hotel is busy and very lively!!! If you are looking for quiet this is not the place for you!!! I took my 19 year old daughter for 5 days and we had the absolute best time!!! I can’t wait to take the rest of my family back! One important note- Santa Teresa is NOT easy to get to from San Jose or Liberia. We drove ourselves from Liberia and it was a 4 hour adventure .

This place was remarkable! Best vacation I’ve ever had! I felt so safe, everything was clean, and we never wanted to leave the resort as it had so many amenities. The pool was great, the bungalows are great, and the staff were very friendly! Definitely going back!

This is a great location for walking to several different restaurants. The restaurant in front of hotel has lounge chairs which are a great option for lounging during the day. Service is hit or miss. Our drinks weren’t great but the fries and fried bread were. Loud music into the evening and a young fun party atmosphere. The seating area outside the room always had dust from the termites and ants. And the outside area needed a fan as there was no air movement. Soap and shampoo were supplied which was nice. Parking was spacious. Aircon worked and room stayed cool when out. Spotty internet.

Amazing spot, private and beautiful. Loved the outdoor kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Pool was very nice. Restaurant was decent. Incredibly helpful at reception. Very friendly. The only thing we didn’t love was the very loud music they played on Wednesday and Saturday nights. As we have a toddler.

This is an excellent location for Surfers looking for a good wave but there isn't great swimming in front of this property rough and rocky. The beachfront restaurant and bar are available for anyone to use which was cool. We loved the patio and hammock with each room. Be sure to use the kitchen locks as raccoons are busy. Great reception but often not there. Excellent food at the restaurant at the beach. Best hummus ever!

We had a lovely stay at banana Beach. It was a bit loud in the evenings with the music from the restaurant but they did turn it down relatively early. Our bungalow sweet, a bit basic but had everything we needed. Excellent location in terms of proximity to the beach and town. The highlight was the accessibility to the restaurant right on the beach with a little playground for the kids and lovely food

GREAT BEACHFRONT PROPERTY! Very nice and private bungalows with a comunal pool that has plenty of lounging areas around it.
The beach bar/restaurant was a definite plus!
We had a very good time and look forward to returning soon!

I stayed at Banana Beach Bungalow with 2 friends and our 2 labs. It was perfect! We stayed in Casita Linda with 2 rooms: comfortable beds with nice bedding; comfortable, clean, modern bathroom with excellent water pressure, hot water, storage space; good air conditioning.

We augmented the outdoor kitchenette with pans and my kitchen tools I never travel without when cooking and we prepared delicious meals we enjoyed in our patio and garden. Great stores to buy food nearby. The cooktop was very hot, the refrigerator held a lot, and good water pressure in the sink. In Tico style, cold water only.

Our garden was completely enclosed by a 5-foot fence, so our dogs could run free, only in the two larger casitas, although all were private. Our garden, as well as all of the grounds, were beautifully landscaped. I felt like I was in a Rousseau painting the whole time there.

The beach, while too rough for swimming, was beautiful. The double beach lounges were comfortable, and you could choose sun or shade. Also a huge variety of seating, including tables and chairs. The entire drink and food menu available everywhere at the beach. Our dogs loved running free on the beach and even did a little swimming.

After relaxing at the beach, we hit the pool, which also had beautiful landscaping. Even our dogs were allowed in the pool, aided by the beach access. With that, we were completely in love with BBB! Very refreshing!

Staff was friendly, restaurant very good.

The place could be amazing only if it was taken care of. There is trash everywhere, the bungalows are dirty and run down (we had to move because the roof of our bungalow had a leak - right on the bed), daily cleaning is the most ineffective cleaning you can do. The location is perfect though, lots of great little restaurants super close (would NOT recommend the one at the hotel - feels as dirty as the hotel).

This place is a grate accomodation. The room is cozy, clean, with a beautiful arquitecture. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The place has a restaurant, they cook very good, but the prices are a little hi and they dont give room service.
You will love the crabs around your boungalow.
Just in front the hotel´s entrance you will find a restaurant and a grocery store from israeli people, but they open until 10 am.
In a walking distance you will find a supermarket if you want to buy food to prepare by yourself. The room has a kitchen outside, wich is a great idea, so you can see the crabs a nature while your eating.
Highly recommended.

Bugs Everywhere

We won’t be staying here again. It’s not what one would expect for $225/night. When we arrived there was a trail of ants into our room. We found a dead spider under the sheets and even after they changed the sheets I was still bitten by a spider after taking a nap in the bed. The “clean” sheets had a blood mark. The rooms in general are much more weathered than the photos look. The setting is cool, on the beach with a lot of vegetation around to give it a jungle feel but there appears to be no form of pest/insect control. There were constantly mosquitoes in the room even though we never left the door open. The beach restaurant has decent food and a fun vibe but it’s loud music goes on late into the night making it difficult to sleep since the room had so many cracks in the walls/doors/windows. The location on the strip is decent though. They rent surf boards but the beach is rough in front of the property, we had better luck surfing at hermosa. The water was turned off one morning unannounced to ya so we couldn’t shower in the morning. The kitchenette is outside the room. Mold in the shower. The hot water would only get luke warm and wouldn’t last long. Given the price of this place, I’d rather have stayed in a hostel and gotten the same quality...

Wish I could have stayed longer!

Amazing place, right off the beach. The room was super clean and the service is excellent. Toto, at the front desk is the best. He made us feel like family. Definitely staying there when I come back!

I really expected more from this place. The pictures make everything look so new and big and in fact, we ended up in a room next to the road that was tiny and cramped and smelt super musty. One of the AC units was not working and after asking for more towels we never received them. They also want a deposit for beach towels they need to be given back before 6pm which is exactly when the amazing sunset was happening, not not much foresight on that front. I dont think I would stay there again, it feels very tired in a market full of hotels that really are making an effort.

Cleanliness was amazing and I would throughoutly recommend any of the bungalows as whilst I can only comment on the 7 person bungalow that we were in all of the others seemed just as nice and secluded

The Bungalows were just what we were looking for and the staff were very friendly and responsive to my inquiries. Family of four travelling with 2 teenagers so it was important to find a place that was close to the beach and also local restaurants. The pool is also nice and was not crowded at all.

These bungalows are great! Close to everything and right on the beach. You do have to walk through their beach restaurant to get to beach but that’s no problem for us. They have a parking spot for each bungalow and the outside kitchen really came in handy for us.

Knowing already what is the hotels levels and conditions in that aria , i was surprised to find super nice, exotic, clean and conferrable hotel .first is the location - right at the beach / sea - literally. there is no prefect location that this.
The staff were very helpful and kind , the place its self very exotic. the rooms are very clean and been taking care of to the last detail. The perfect location of the restaurant with the cool sitting arias near by the sea spices the atmosphere specially when they have a show or a chill out music turned it to the ultimate place to be in when you are in Santa Teresa - Mal Pais aria.

Great service, a great location and a reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. Danielle and Emilya were extremely helpful. There are a lot of restaurants near-by if you don't want to eat at Banana Beach, the bank machine is within walking distance plus the pool and the beach are right there.

Das Personal war sehr nett und sehr schnell und unkompliziert über WhatsApp zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und die Dusche auch super. Das Zimmer war nur etwas dunkel und hat etwas feucht gerochen. Uns haben ein paar Haken gefehlt um Sachen aufzuhängen. Es war sehr wenig los und der Pool ist super schön. Leider ging das WLAN nicht am Pool und es wurden noch arbeiten durchgeführt, was dann schon laut war und weniger entspannend. Die Strandbar ist super schön und die Lage echt toll.

Cabañas inmersas en un bellísimo jardín proporcionan una excelente experiencia, sin embargo podria ser mejor con un mejor mantenimiento.
Estuvimos hospedados en la cabaña Reef, la cual tiene algunos problemas.
(Presenta una gotera en el techo de la terraza,
La estufa tiene problemas y las puertas de los gabinetes de la cocina tienen problemas para cerrar.
A lo interno de la cabaña hace falta mejor mantenimiento al baño, la caja de seguridad es inmanejable y hace falta para que la experiencia sea mejor una secadora de cabello que en este nivel de hospedaje es normal.
Tambien tuvimos problema de falta de agua en dos ocaciones.
No obstante los inconvenientes enumerados, la experiencia fue buena, compensada por la belleza del entorno que rodea las habitaciones, que realmente es paradisíaco.

En el restaurante, la relación precio calidad no es satisfactoria.
